@shenzi - I am a total lounge lizard, lol. You would think that being totally deaf without my hearing aids that I would be able to sleep throough anything, but unfortunatley not. Its not unusual to find me sitting at the pc at 3am playing a game, lol. although since discovering this thread and all you guys I generally hang out here or am working on a fic, lol.



Looking forward to reading the rest of your fic, I love it so far.



I just did some minor rewrites on my reunion fic today, once its approved by my beta I will finally be able to get it out of my hair, its been floating around on my desktop for a month, lol

I haven't written any sex scenes yet in my fics, I think I'd need a ghost writer for them or else they would read like cheesiest romance novels you can find.

If I had write one it would be like -

"He throws her down on the bed with the intent to ravish her thoroughly "

Followed by
"... a few hours later they take a walk around the beach"

Actually podding Kaidan would have such an emotional impact on the game for me, that tension throughout the game knowing they have him and wanting to save him, building up to the moment you can pull him out of there if you play things right....argh.

But despite me wanting it, I think the way Kaidan is in game now has done wonders for his character. He gained a lot of fans while loosing a few. Sometimes I wonder if I would be this rabid had he gotten a larger role in ME2, I mean his cameo pulled me out of my lurking state to actually show my support through this thread. I've always supported and loved Kaidan, just never this vocally since I generally hate forums. And it gave me this Kaidan pics obsession, which was a first too.
So I guess there IS a silver lining...in a way

Once I finish this fic since it's getting really good feedback and I'm going write a companion piece of the same events from Shepard's PoV.

hehe...if it was cheesy you would have to describe the wonders of a bedlamp after he throws her onto the bed. Describe the lamp in detail as if the camera just zoomed in on it, blurring out the couple in the back. And then the light switched off, fade to black...and they are on the beach...*giggles*

I actually hadn't played ME1 when ME2 came out, I had been busy with MMOs till Dragon Age was release but when I found out Sbarge voiced Kaidan and you needed to have a romance with his character in ME1 for it to carry over to ME2 I downloaded ME1 from steam

I also had played a few minutes of ME2 when I first got it but it really felt like I was watching the middle movie of a trilogy not having played the first one.

I would never have played Mass Effect if the teens hadn't talked me into it by telling me 'Carth' was in it, lol. I generally avoid anything that requires my character to use a gun, lol. Generally prefer to stick to bashing someone to death with a sword or lightsaber. I can't imagine playing ME2 without having played ME1.

Indeed, it's odd in a way. After all these years since ME1 was released, we still get to see new shots in angles I've never seen before. Just as interesting as it is to see the amount of detail the old graphics have as well.
While ME2 highlights a lot of things like Kaidan's wavy/curly hair, if you look at more high res shots of ME1, it's already there.
Sure ME2 has improved graphics, but the ones in ME1 were great as well. I use shots from both ME1 and 2 for my pics and there's very little difference between them imo. ME2 Kaidan on Horizon just has better lighting...whereas ME1 Kaidan is often in red/orange or blue hues.

Love seeing all these new Kaidan shots

Yeah I sucked too.  The teens told me to play as a soldier the first time and I didn't really get into it, until I discovered biotics, lol.  I've never been into shooters, it takes me too long to aim usually which is why I avoid the sniper rifle, lol.  I think the only other one i've played on the pc is farcry2 and only because it came with the graphics card, lol.  Teen just told me that we actually have fallout3 so I may have to give that a try one of these days.  He's been trying to get me to play Oblivian for ages.

edit : @Jen - I was too lazy to look in the wiki, thought about it then couldn't be bothered, but I did get sidetracked by the teen who has decided to make some pods, lol

Okay Jacob could watch the news on his, Shepard gets that message from TIM through an omni-tool...so I can assume it's like a multi-media tool as well? Like an Ipad or whatever it's called?

Same here, I prefer supporting characters more though. While I play an adept on my 'main' Shepard, I really love the engineer in ME2 as well. For the time I played with the class.
I think I would love the Sentinel but I cannot bring myself into trying it since my favourite sentinel might be at my side once more in ME3 and I want Kaidan and Shepard to be seperate classes for some reason

I do hope they bring back the medic skills though in ME3, I always made Kaidan this biotic field medic in ME1 and he rocked.
