I couldn't have made that choice so I would never have got through the game, lol. If forced to my shep would have gone to save Joker though I guess. I had enough of that sort of choice on Virmire and would hate to have to go through it again in ME2 or ME3.

That choice reminds me a bit of 'The Witcher'. The choices you had to make there were usually between 'crap' and 'crappier' and the outcomes and consequences were never really pretty. It was a darn good game though.

But maybe the sort of choices where you don't really see the consequences coming, or at least not the kind of impact they will have would be interesting for ME3.
As long as BW stays true to return ME1 LIs and add more RP - I have hope.

Yeah... I seem to remember Bioware saying they want to blow things wide open as far as diverging outcomes in ME3.  Or at least, wider open than they have been.  This gives me hope that Bioware might provide more than one variation of a happy ending with Kaidan.  Those who think a proposal/marriage would be in character for their Shepard can have that option, and those that prefer a simply riding off into the sunset ending can have that.

Would be lovely. I mean after all, it is the last part of the trilogy. There has to be a good ending for everyone!

So I had a ME-related thought earlier... Bioware is big on choices and consequences, right? Would you have liked it if we had a choice whether to go up to the bridge and rescue Joker or escape with Kaidan and leave Joker to fend for himself, and that choice had an impact on how the rest of the game played out? It probably would have been too much divergence to be implemented in reality, but what do you think about the idea in theory?

I'm pretty sure that my head would explode and then I would save Joker every time.  I couldn't possibly lose the only pilot who can fly my baby if there's still hope that I can see Kaidan again later.  It's not like I'd KNOW I'd be dead for a couple of years, right?

You should check out Kaidan's formspring, Jho. Your work has been pointed out to him several times. ;)

His what? :)

http://www.formsprin...nko/q/387727429 was a good one! Wasn't me, incidentally.

I may know who asked this one ...

Was it... you?!  XD

And yeah... the one on the far right DOES look familiar... Hmm... how about that...  A friend and I once did a role-play mixing ME-'verse and KotOR.  I think my friend's FemRevan ended up teleported to Normandy and ended up rescuing Carth from geth.  As I recall, Carth got skewered by one of the husk-making things, but was saved before he got husk-ified.  Because we call ourselves the Omniscient Authoresses (though Omnipotent Authoresses might be more accurate), we can do stuff like skewer Carth and NOT have him die.  AHA!

Is it odd that the thought of a super sweet ending is making me squee like a little schoolgirl?

Hey Tat!

Wow, that's pretty crazy!  I don't usually go for AU/crossover but that sounds interesting.

Could you imagine what femShep would say to the Council?  Umm... referring to the Jedi Council here.

Or what Kaidan would think upon encountering an amnesiac ex-Sith Lord?

Totally not. I remember when I saw the pre Ilos scene the first time, I squeeled jumped off my chair and on my bed to giggle and squee... I was 27 at that time.

Indeed I can!  We might have actually delved into that, but it doesn't sound familiar, so I guess we didn't...  That's sad, really.  We thrive on craziness.

No.  Unless I am also odd, and that can't possibly be right.  :o
