Most people today I think were working on fics either as authors or helping out as proof readers / sounding boards for ideas etc..

Really? Yaaaaay! Funny thing is.... I'm stuck on how to start it..... see.... I had the idea that it was gonna open with their kid already in the Marines... but then gets a rejection letter for special ops....







I don't know..... that sounds campy doesn't it? I came up with the name Ryan William Alenko for hte kid.....

Soooo the base of my idea is..... since his parents are huge mega war heroes, mom's a spectre.... Ryan decides to of course find a big bad to fight.... and it gets him into a ton of trouble....



and that dear friends.... is where I've hit my road block.... I have no idea how Shep/Kaidan would act in their..... 50s??!

They'd sent the uncle's Wrex and Grunt after the bad guys, because Krogan live much much longer. And auntie Li and Samara would certainly not like to see the Shenko child in troubles.

Sorry, I'm just trying to figure out how traumatized a young baby might be when it wakes up to Wrex and Grunt...

Sesh  - it's sweet of you to worry about my italics tolerance level , but actually I really don't get frustrated at all. And your writing is just fine.  Your stories have been fun to read!   In RL one of my jobs is coaching grad students in developing their orals presentations (very dry stuff at times).  They get very anxious about their writing and freeze up so  I always encourage them to just close their eyes and write down whatever is in their heads. No worries about a few italics!

Don't humans usually live until they are about 150 in the Mass Effect Universe? So maybe not that different, considering 75 would be middle aged.
