Yeah the smartass in Joker appeals to me. I really hope he survives in ME3. I would be truly upset to lose him.

Jho I know what you mean.  I was disappointed that neither Joker or Chakwas really had that much dialogue with Shepard, especially in relation to Kaidan.  I thought there should have been a bit more between Joker & shepard in relation to her death as well.

Joker, I have such a love and hate relationship with him since ME2 lol Can't really explain why.

Really? Why hate? I mean he is sometimes a bit... out of line, but I can't bring myself to hate him. I don't know but for me a Normandy without Joker would be like a Mass Effect without Shepard... lol... I know I said this before but it's just how I feel.

Yeah he's part of the ship, but I dunno. It's not that I hate the guy, it's an expression. Like I said, can't explain it. Or maybe I expected more in ME2 dialogue wise from Joker, about Shepard's death and all. Not sure what it is. The guy cracks me up but at times I miss depth maybe? Oh sod it, can't find the words :)

Yeah, I agree on that part. It would have been nice to have more dialogue with him - about old times, old friends and everything that happened. I admit I had also hoped for a bit more from Dr. Chakwas.
Joker's comments after every new recruit are nice - but there should have been a bit more.  At least he didn't have that same tone from ME1 in his voice when you ended the dialogue. In ME1 he always sounded like he was about to say "Sure - whatever." LoL, that drove me nuts.

I think it would be too out of character for Shepard ingame.  Although I could imagine Joker saying it in a fic to tease him.Posted Image

That would have made a lot of sense to include a scene like that along with paragon or renegade options depending on your responses to Joker.

I still love Joker, but maybe that is because I think Seth Green is awesome? But I do think we should have had better conversations with him, and not just 99% EDI related.OK, Question - What would be your perfect Easter egg? And if you could have one that was pertinent to KAAS would you want one?

Yeah, he could have, I don't know, thanked her for saving his life or some such nonsense.  I thought his reaction just after Horizon was pretty good but I can't see his character just dropping it like that or not making smartass remarks about Kaidan just to give you crap.  What a waste of good material!

Yeah I think you guys get what I was trying to find the words for. I think I was just looking for a Kaidan like character in ME2, not romance wise but someone to talk to you know? Joker almost felt generic, hilarious but can't talk to the guy, Dr.Chakwas and her drinking scene were nice but that's it and my buddy from ME1, Garrus, had his dialogue cut in half because of the romance material.
Maybe that has something to do with it too, I dunno.

Bah I'm going to satisfy my sweet tooth by making a greek dessert :innocent:

I  probably wouldn't want a Kaidan/Shep related easter egg anyway.  But if I'm being silly I would say if it was in relation to KAAS, then some random comment on booty or towels, lol.  In reality I can't see any Kaidan/Shepard related Easter eggs happening unless its something to do with the pic on Andersons desk.

Easter egg wise...I would like one of those lines where he tells Shepard she's objectifying(sp) him. With a laugh ofcourse ;)

Awwww, thanks!! Blessed Be!
I've tried my best to put it behind me - and my frustration turned into more anger - helps me write as well... though not while I am trying to write a bit of fluff, lol. I just wish I could build in a micro valve or something to just stop crying when I want - I hate looking like a power puff girl...

But how are you doing today? Found something to cheer up a bit?

Morning all.

You've been busy over the past day, but yay for new fics that I get to read in a bit.

@Bri: I have a master list that I was sending out when I could. I don't believe it is missing any currently (unless I have missed any from Shotty apart from the first one). It's already separated by author. Be happy to send it to you to help you out.

Yeah, everybody over on the ME1 LI thread keept telling me how awesome the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer is, so I decided that watching the first couple episodes of that was exactly what I needed to cheer me up last night.  Buffy + some Reeses peanut butter cups + an ice cream sandwich = a much happier Chelsea.  Plus, a good night's sleep always makes me feel better.

Heh, an interesting way - but as long as it works, everything is permitted.
I suppose my choice of music didn't help me to cheer up this morning, but luckily I have that 'bouncebackability'  - I'll only stay down for so and so long.

So with renewed strength - it's back to Chapter 6... and if you don't mind, I'd like to send it your way again in a while. *puppy eyes*

I'm daunted by my own writing, right now.  I've decided to do something a whole lot longer but I'm so indecisive on what to include.  Do I use in-game dialogue to build the story around or would that be cheesy?  Will it be too long to start at Thane's loyalty mission and end after the Collector base with a Kaidan reunion, and how much of the game can I skip in the story without gutting the whole thing?  Right now the best part of what I've written is a rant about Kelly and the galaxy map.  :P

I'm pretty sure that iced cream makes everyone happier.  I'm glad you're feeling better!

I know your pain - I really do. That's why I decided to just put my story after the ME2 events. Leaves things open and you still have plenty of chances to quote dialogue from the game or at least to refer to it.

I don't think using actual dialogue is a problem as long as you're not just regurgitating the scene.  I used a lot of in game dialogue in the 2nd and 3rd chapters of the fic I'm currently working because I didn't think I could improve on the Shepard / TIM dialogue and Shepard's speeches on the Collectors base but the focus of the actual chapters is Joker and Kaidan's running commentary about what was happening on the Collectors base.

Happy Saturday, y'all. I'll have to catch up on the new fics on Monday. Can't do it now. To much other stuff going on.

Might be able to write today, though.
