Frustrating indeed, I remember wanting to reply so bad. Re sheps name - I actually prefer to use 'Shepard' in my fics but my betas said I should use her first name. In my random stupidities she is just Shepard though because I don't think of her as my Shep in those.

I still keep Kaidan's email in my inbox on my play throughs but I just want to strangle my Shep on Horizon.

Why couldn't there have been a paragon / renegade option to respond to the email with paragon you say something suitably emotional and respond in a positive way and a renegade option which ends the relationship.

I honestly think that they made sure that there was no way to break things off so that they could force a scene or scenario that they're super excited about in ME3. Everything that happens in ME2 tries to force the player into choosing a new LI.

Because I was disapointed with the results of my first 2 fics I changed my sig to a link to my current one just to express my lasting discontent with Horizon.

Hmm better add the sumary top of the first chapter so anyone going from that link will know it's an A/U piece.

I think you're probably right, with the caveat that they may also have an awesome reunion planned, which would be rather short-changed if you'd sorta reconciled already in ME2.  Either way though, it does make us the players stuck with some wretchedly bad RP choices while we wait.  However, it also seems to have inspired numerous potential authors to begin and/or restart writing to fix the story deficits, so there's some silver lining? 

Also, @Jho, your latest work is simply marvelous.  So pretty, and melancholy.  Poor Kaidan.    But so handsome...   You can wait over here w/me for as long as you like, Kaidan...

Well I do hope Kaidan mentions the lack of response from Shepard in ME3, so we can at least give an answer then. Then again maybe Kaidan will understand...but still, it feels like a silent treatment. Same for my spacer's mom.

Hmm...now there's something I do wonder about, what does Hannah Shepard look like I wonder hehe. I find myself thinking about Kaidan and Shepard's relatives a lot. Like Kaidan's parents...what they would look like. Silly mind of mine.

It was, it involved someone getting slammed up against a wall in her nightshirt (easy access, don'tyaknow), but they don't actually seem to want to cooperate.  Which is silly of them, since they'd feel so much better afterwards...

@legbamel: It is great to meet Kaidan's parents... I've run across several very different versions of them in different fics. They're occasionally happy, but usually estranged, from Kaidan and themselves. BAaT seems to be bad for everyone.
