woo-hoo bold kaidan yaaay!

can shep and kaidan get married? I mean she's a spectre and he's an alliance marine......

Why not? I know couples were both are military - that's not too odd either. I don't see a problem.

Ah, they're breaking rules as necessary already. I do think, even if Kaidan were to propose, they'd wait until after the Reaper's to actually get married. Gotta finish the job first, after all.

I definitely think Kaidan would be bold... he's cautious until he makes up his mind, but after that, I definitely think he'd go all out for anything he wanted, and had decided he needed.

Still, simple though. I totally agree w/Crimson. I love Crimson's suggestion, actually, it is all heart-melty. (I felt that needed more emphasis than simply a smiley... I'm weird, I know.)

Aww, thank you! And yes, this would definitely not happen until after the Reapers have been defeated.

Kaidan: Marry me.
Shepard: ...Is that an order, Commander?

Also, what Jilly said about Kaidan being cautious until his mind is made it is so, so true. I think sometimes people lose sight of that (I know I certainly do) because the embarassed stammering Kaidan from the Scenic View scene is so utterly adorable, but he's the first to call Shepard out on a lot of things, albeit in veiled terms, at times: asking her if she always takes such an interest in her crew, telling her he's picking up on certain signals, the confrontation scene with Liara...

Once it's clear that Shepard returns his interest, he doesn't shy away from the romancing really, until the really big moments: lockers, more or less, depending on your dialogue choices, and the night before Ilos - where his hesitancy is completely understandable, since going from talking about joint shore leave with your CO to spending the night with her is a pretty huge step to take!

Hello all :)

In ME3, I would love to see a more 'aggressive' Kaidan. After he knows he has Shepard, it'd be interesting to see him take a more active role in perusing her. I understand where he was coming from in ME1; she was his CO and he had to be extra careful. Just think what could have happened if things ended badly for him.

But by the time ME3 rolls around, there shouldn't be regs in the way of them being able to establish and build a closer relationship.

Aw, that convo is completely adorable, and will forever be canon in my head.  I can hear Shepard's smile in that line...

Of course, I am a big fan of assertive Kaidan, and that's actually one of the things I like about him if you renegade him.  He turns, not into an alien hater, but a bureaucrat hater, which we can all relate to, I think. ;)

And, cause I am apparently a big tease, Chapter 4 of Lost for Words still doesn't get Kaidan and Shepard in the same room.

Couldn't agree more. I think a slighly more aggressive and dominant Kaidan would be an intersting thing... if not to say 'hot'
I think I've been reading too much fanfiction on this topic... lol.

LooooooL!!
For years my mind has spent so much time in the gutter, it isn't even funny. But the worst thing about this thread is that it's almost holding up a mirror in front of me. Just when I think something to myself, someone actually points it out or directs me to fanfiction. It's awesome, lol!

You hear that you stuckup developers... we female gamers are not as prude as you'd like to see us!!! There!

Well, if you're thinking sub/dom, you would be correct :innocent:

Does anyone have that pic from Shotgun_Shepard where Kaidan's all eyebrow quirky? It's not on the KAAS and it's not on her profile and I want to find it! It's driving me nuts!

Give a few more details, Fort, I saved a bunch of pictures, I might be able to send it your way - if it is among them.

And a sub/dom scenario between them... what are you waiting for? Shouldn't you be writing??

@shenzi - yay more chapters, lol. Keep working that material.

Hmmm not sure about how he would be proposing. The ME2 Kaidan seems much more forceful than he was in ME1

Think he would keep it simple, nothing to fancy, nothing spectacular. Simple and intimate. No long speech or anything. He might be blushing, but I think he'll be determined.

And I need to stop melting this much, can't be good ;)

Agreed! I could see them waking up together on a random morning, smiling at each other for a moment, before Kaidan kisses Shepard and just tells her, "Marry me".

Exactly! And then Shepard would be at a loss for words, filled with raw emotion and just whispering Yes. *melts* Darnit here I go again.

It was the one after Eden Prime where he's quirking his eyebrow. It's super adorable :pinched:

I'm going to be in and out a bit; I've got chores to do.

I have been thinking about ME3.  While I am anticipating it, I also dread it.  After that, our story is done and no more Kaidan to look forward to.  So I am hoping that BW will give us the closure we need on this.  Otherwise they will have a rabid fangirl after them Posted Image

Yo, imagine Kaiden/Ash was an ME2 Squaddie... Taking them on missions with Jacob or the cheerleader would be Epic. It would be like Edwin Odessiron vs Valygar from BG2. I.e. if u dont sort them out one of them will kill the other O_o

If not Jack would take advantage and twist Kai Kai into killing the cheerleader.

I feel the same way. The anticipation is killing me but it's also keeping me occupied. The speculation, the hopes and wishes, it can go where ever but as soon as ME3 is released it's the end. It's all set in stone, there's nothing to look forward to anymore as far as Kaidan is concerned. His story has been completed.
With it live up to our expectations? No. It never can. But I do hope for closure for both my Shepard and Kaidan.

I want to sit in my comfy chair as ME3 ends with a smile on my face, maybe even some tears in my eyes and closure within.

Yeah, I think Kaidan would definitely have a bit of a problem with Jacob for realizing that Cerberus has done some extremely reprehensible things but working with them anyway.  Oh wait, sound familiar?  Damn you, Bioware, if I ever find out whose brilliant idea it was to force Shepard to work with Cerberus, he or she is getting a solid side-kick to the seat of the pants.

They dont really banter much even if u take them both on the horizon mission. All u have is Miri/Jaco adding to ur argumant and Kai Kai pretending they aren't there. Also take Miri on jack recruit quest and there is banter there :P
Miri: "Shepard, you don't have the clearance to do that"
Jack: "oh, you upset the cerberus Cheerleader"

Yep, I've seen both of those.  Miranda, due to how useful I find her warp and overload, is more or less a permanent member of my ground team.  And I thought that the lack of interaction between Kaidan and, say, Garrus or Jacob or Miranda was definitely unfulfilled potential.

Prolly the same person who wrote the Jacob romance. Started drinking when coming up with the Cerberus deal and was really drunk by the time Jacob's romance had to be written. I can still see them giggle snorting over it all while drunken banter ensues.  "Oh and let the council...*giggle*...let the councillllll....*burp*...let them airquote...yesh...airrrquootteee the Reapersh...so...um....so Shepard hash no...Nooooo..shupport...*more giggling*...Cerberusus it hash to be...yesh. Oh I forgots...have to goooogogo...*giggle*...need to write Ja...Jac...Jacob's romance stuffsh."

Okay so I'm in a silly mood. Hide the booze for ME3! ;)
