I'm not really surprised with the cheating, I saw people admitting to the multiple account thing last week on the fourms.

Can you make multiple accounts to the same registration key?

To vote in polls, all you need to do is register. When you register, it doesn't even ask for a valid email address.

It could be very easy for folks to spam the polls.

Yeah, see, that's never going to die down, for some people.  Normal, well-adjusted human characters are boring and whiny and horrible, just because they are normal and well-adjusted humans.  

Maybe if the writers of ME3 make Kaidan get some awesome scars, badass tattoos, maybe some bionic parts, and a backstory where he has become corrupt and morally bankrupt, and taciturn and stoic and grunty...maybe THEN the haters will warm up to him.  Oh, and they have to replace Raphael Sbarge with Steve Blum.  Steve Blum is doing all voices in ME3, even FemShep.

Let the boys think Kaidan is boring and bland and whatnot. He was created as a love interest for women and by the judge of this thread alone, women love him. Job well done. I am hoping for a whole line of "boring and bland" human characters because if they're created like Kaidan, I'll love em.

Show me where I said I hated Jacob...much less "with a passion".  I liked his character as a "bromance", and I even think he's a better buddy for a male Shepard than Kaidan, just because he seems to have more dialogue with a male Shepard than Kaidan did.  But the romance is awful, that's just a fact.  And please don't be like the people who play the race card, my only complaint about Jacob's appearance was that I would have liked to see him look more like the way he was portrayed in Mass Effect Galaxy.  I was fully prepared to be open to the Jacob romance, but when FemShep opened her mouth the first time she talked to him...I was like, "ew, what???"  Add to that my disgust with the Skinemax-worthy dialogue in the Jacob romance scene, and I was totally uninterested.

Seriously, he may be your boy, but did *you* want to romance him???

I don't like particular characters, but I don't go around flaming about it. I don't talk about them and don't have them in my squad *SIMPLES* as Alexander Meercat would say. They fact that I don't like them for personality reasons means that despite some flaws, they are well written because that emulates not getting along with certain kinds of people IRL.



Still don't understand this though; many many girls hitting on Kaidan, showing the troll guys exactly what we like in a man, so they continue to whinge about him rather than taking a hint? HUH.

If anything it could be making things worse. Just have this mental image of guys beating their chests and grunting because Kaidan pulled in this many women. 

I don't hate Jacob but his romance is a fun topic, mostly because he's compared to Kaidan so much or portrayed as his replacement. That I don't agree with. I don't go about hating any of the characters, some I like some I don't. Hate is such a strong word and thrown around way too easily.

For the last time I don't 'hate' any characters. I just like some more than others but don't we all? As for the romance I actually enjoyed it and found it humorous and lighthearted compared to the depressing Thane one and the  awkward Garrus one. But hey thats just my opinion. Anyway I don't want to derail this topic so here have a Kaidan.

I was completely dumbfounded to see Mordin take as many votes as he did, because... he's Mordin. The one without a support thread over a hundred pages long because he's Mordin. Arguably the most loved squadmate outside of the love interests, and gets bonus points because people with love interests like him anyway.

But given that he's one of the final survivors when all three ME1 love interests were still in the game, I shouldn't have been surprised to see a concentrated effort against him because I know the ME1 love interests groups support each other as well as their chosen.

And I know I'm posting this in the Kaidan thread, and I do like Kaidan, but... it's Mordin.

It's a vote-off between the only two chracters with medical training. That tells you how much people like to think.

Yeah, it's funny, when you think about how many guys insist that women don't really want "nice guys"...but when we do show interest in guys who are genuinely nice, suddenly they get super defensive and angry.  The trolls who come into this thread are basically telling us that we shouldn't be able to choose whom we like, and they probably don't understand why they don't get the girls in real life...like the attributes they find "manly" are at all attractive to anyone...

I actually couldn't make myself vote for Mordin even to save an ME1 LI... I felt really badly for poor Ashley, cause I love her to pieces, but... my mind did the same thing... it's Mordin.  I mean, really, for survival sake, he ought to be the last one standing.  Genius doctor, can cure things and kill things... <--> Mordin

Some men just identify with the bad boys more easily, sometimes out of fear that liking the 'guy next door' character will make them look gay or whatever. Or maybe it's something else all together. Like why do women love a man who could be just like them and yet they have no luck with women in RL. I don't know.

Could be anything really. Done trying to figure out why so many hate on Kaidan, as much as I'm done with this Survivor game so let's leave that discussion for that specific thread shall we?

Well polls like that usually boils down to popularity contests (tali gets the counter-effect of being "too" popular).



Imo Mordin should be as likely target as the others, he's old (sacrifice himself for the younger people), he got fast metabolism= eats more and thus falls in the same position as the biotics. As mentioned Kaidan has medical skills so choosing Kaidan over Mordin wouldn't be all that stupid.

Jacob - I don't hate Jacob, he & my Shep are going to spill some drinks on the Citadel. Like everyone else I hate his corny dialogue, and the way that Shep turns into the ship skank around him, lol

Kaidan - I had both teens going at me tonight about how whiney Kaidan (& Carth) are, which shows the age group we are talking about - 'nuff said I know they do it to stir me up but stupid me rises to the bait everytime, lol

Hating characters - there are plenty I dislike but I don't know if I actually hate them. I don't feel the need to troll amongst their fans though. We all like different things, so each to their own.

forums - I generally tend ot stick to this thread, some of the others are just plain scary. Its safe & friendly here in the gutter, lol

@Jho - just watched the Carth vid. I really miss Carth. some of his lines would fit with Kaidan but it would be as weird as hell to hear them in ME. It would be like the Twilight Zone, lmao
