Yeah just meant the style of some lines. Man I adore Carth, not as much as Kaidan but he's one hell of a smartass...love it.

I'm so curious as to where they'll be taking kaidan's character in ME3..it's driving me nuts. I'll be wearing a strait jacket by the time ME3 is released....

As long as they don't take his character the same place they took Lira's. I'm sorry. I know. The bitter bear is out again, but seriously. Did they have to make her some evil, all-powerful witch? I'll admit she annoyed me at first in ME1 but she grew on me. The more I played the more I realized that she was portrayed with a kind of inner strength, and inner strength which I believe would not have allowed her to walk down the dark path she supposedly followed.

It will be interesting which fics actually come closest to the actual storyline for ME3 as far as how the Shep / Kaidan romance play out.

@Shotty - yeah Carth was my first game crush too. then Atton, even if I couldn't romance him, Skye, who didn't really appeal to me. Then I discovered Kaidan & Alistair. Now I just sit here staring at the triple treat on my desktop, lol

Mordin always shoots down my celibate FemSheps for a romance with him, even before they get the chance to ask.  Obviously, this makes them bitter and resentful.

I can't look it up on YouTube at the moment, but you know how Mordin has some funny advice for each romance, if you're in one, near the end of the game?  Well, if you haven't had any romantic partner, Mordin will tell you that he's noticed that you've been hanging around him a lot, and he says that he is aware of your feelings, and he's not interested.  I love how my character smiles and says thanks for letting her down gently.

Speaking of imagining Kaidan saying Carth's lines, I know there was line of Carth's that I... oh! Oh, that's right!



Harkin: "Hey there, sweetheart. You looking for some fun? 'Cause I gotta say, that soldier getup looks real good on that bod of yours. Why don't you sit your sweet little ass down beside old Harkin? Have a drink and we'll see where this goes."



Kaidan: "Hey! You talk to her with a bit of respect in your voice or you're going to end this conversation minus a few teeth, got it?"

@chem - I agree on Liara. she annoyed me in Me1 but she just seemed so totally out of character in ME2. It was a serious WTF moment when I met up with her again on my 1st ME2 playthrough.



@shenzi - probably none of the fics will come close, although we might be wishing some of them did when we finally get ME3, lol. I really will be surprised if we get more than a few lines of dialogue with Kaidan concerning the romance.

I will be disapointed as well if there isn't a signifcant amount of content for the romance in ME3.  I'm not expecting for Kaidan and Shep to lay eyes on each other immediately fall into bed, it's not in character.  I'd actually like to see them have to rebuild the relationship over the course of the game.

Oh, absolutely I agree.  Totally not in character for them to fall into bed right away.  My optimistic prediction is that it will follow the pattern of Mass Effect romances to date.  Which is to say, building the relationship (or rebuilding in this case) followed by sweet smexy times before the final mission.  And I demand that the relationship building be natural like it was in ME1, not like some of the WTF moments in ME2 (Here's looking at you, Jacob, and even with Garrus you have to come on pretty strong to get the relationship started.)  I mean, I suppose that was a reaction to people saying they wanted it to be clearer when they were about to start a romance path but honestly!  There are better ways to do it.  I like the idea of different colored texts for a romance-initiating response just like there are for charm/intimidate options.

Mahahahahaa....if it makes you feel any better, I never noticed how many gas tanks were around until I played ME 1 so much that I literally started seeing little orange squares over everyone I saw.
