Okay if we're going to indulge in a little shirtless men adoration in honor of Kaidan, I hereby give thee Jared Padalecki...

I've finally caught up so I thought I'd make a few comments about what's gone on.

First off I tend to design my Shep's to look like me so they always have dark hair on olivey type skin (my nan was italian so I'm not as pale as your typical Brit) I do have a Redheaded Shep and a black haird blue eyed Shep.  It always bugged me that Shep was so tall as I would have like my character to be shorter, again like me.  I did try and play as a blonde once but I couldn't immerse myself in the character and never got passed the citadel.

Edit:  *sigh*  Here's the challenge of being in a later time zone.  If I post before I read through everything, I find out everything has already been said.
I know the feeling.  I'm on Pacific Time, and by the time I have the kids out the door in the morning crimsonrhodelia, MICHELLE7, Doug84, BEEC4, just to name a few, have been at it for hours.  Fortunately, no one seems to mind us jumping on the train, even if it left two pages back.
This made me lol, I feel like I've been playing catch up for the last few days!  It's so busy at work and with exam season coming up I can't really avoid doing my work Posted Image  Just you wait til Easter, I'll be a posting machine!!!!!

Indeed In fact the whole Spacer thing with your mother made little sense in ME2 as well. She was annoyed she had to hear you were alive from a different source than her own daughter...and that's it? Really? Blegh, while the mail system is perfect for sidequest references with thank you notes and whatnot, I think it sucks big time for more important content like a LI or your freaking mother.
But thanks again for the fic, at least you gave me what Bioware decided not to.
Yeah, I'm a spacer too, and my mother emailed me it was hard to read.
*wonders if he was the only one who thought the email was alittle bit positive*
I thought it was weird she says she had to hear it 3rd hand.  I would have thought if I didn't get to tell her I wasn't dead it should have at least been Anderson.

Star58 wrote...
I thought it was pretty odd to get such a cheery email from Mom. It was very positive and refers to having heard through Alliance brass 3rd hand that you were alive. This brings me back to one of my original puzzles which is why, if Hannah Shepard had been informed 3rd hand, Shep's crew wasn't informed?

Did you get the  Galactic News items later in teh game about Capt. Hannah Shepard turning down a promotion to the Admiralcy saying she thought remaining a captain would be a better way to honor her daughter's memory?  Seemed to conflict with her earlier email to Shep (you're alive vs. you're dead.)
It all makes perfect sense to me, I think that Shep wouldn't contact her mum because what would she say?

Hi mum, I was dead for two years but a terroist group brought me back to life oh and I'm heading on a suicide mission so I might actually die anyway.  Love ya!

Lol, I think Shep would try and keep on the low down, didn't her mum say she heard it through the news or something.  Anderson wouldn't have told her, afterall he wasn't even sure it was you, it was all just rumours, you wouldn't tell someones family that you'd heard a rumour their dead child was alive.

As for her mum's reaction, I think I've said it before but her mum is in the military, so knows how the classified thing works and understands why families wouldn't be told, protect cover etc so I bet she's just relieved that her little girl is alive.

All to be explored in my upcoming fanfic chapter Posted Image

I play an Earthborn, so I want Kaidan to take me home to Vancouver! Besides, I've never really understood that line how the "inland home matured to new beachfront". Was there a flood?
Global warming and the subsequent melting of the ice caps I think.
Yeap, sea level rise and all that good stuff. Try explaining that to a global warming denier, and their head will expolded .
Ok I'll try not to explode but......

GLOBAL WARMING IS A LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I don't agree with the plundering of finite resources or the destruction of the natural world but to blame global warming *fights to control irrational rage* well lets just say I don't agree with it, it again shows the complete arrogance of the human race.

rant over.

As for the Kaidan in TIM suit *shudders* I’m with Sbri, I hate it, because of what it stands for and what it reminds me off, I despise TIM and I see that suit and it makes me think of him, associating Kaidan with him well it makes me feel sad.

Haha!  Would you actually believe that the kids at school think I'm awesome because I play x-box and know what they're talking about when they discuss games!  And here I thought it was because of my general coolness and good looks Posted Image

Living dangerously,  you are just begging to feel the wrath of the pod commander aren't you?

On another topic (sort of) : am I the only one that thought Lt Girard (from the I remember me quest) was not bad (probably because I liked his voice, lol) - my shep may have liked him if there was no Kaidan.  I always had a thing in my head about Kaidan getting all jealous because he invites Shep out to dinner next time she's on the Citadel to let her know how Talitha is doing .
