While everyone on this thread would be thrilled if the DLC was Kaidan related, the majority of us know better than to get our hopes up.

I myself will be pleasantly surprised if it is Kaidan related but I'm not expecting it to be.

I may know better but I'm still crossing my fingers. Looking forward to each announcement at least is something fun, even if the end result is a let down. Haven't bought the last DLCs ;)
The excitement of maybe getting something Kaidan related makes my ME heart beat a bit faster and it needs that rush every now and then.

I may have restarted a run of my canon Shepard in ME2 last night based only on the slight possibility that the new DLC is something relevant to my interests.  Posted Image

That, and I wanted to have a playthrough where some squadmates die.  I'm going to allow Jacob to go in the vents, and will let Miranda do the bubble, since they volunteered so nicely...Posted Image

Miranda won't be the one that dies in the bubble.  It'll be one of your team mates like Garrus or Tali.

So is Samara the only one that can do the bubble without losing anyone?  Miranda isn't a viable choice?

Jack and Samara can do the bubble and no one dies. I'm just saying the only way to kill Miranda is to take her to the final fight unloyal. Then, she gets a piece of the Collector base dropped on her head.

Oh, I know, I'm not sure who will die to the swarm,  but I'm just playing it as if the deaths will be a regular part of gameplay, and it makes sense to let the people who volunteer do the jobs.  Also, Miranda's guilt over losing a teammate will be appropriate for when she tells the Illusive Man to shove it at the end of the game.

Cool... So long as you weren't expecting Miri to be the one that bites it.

Just don't kill Garrus. ;)

There are several members of the SR2 I could easily live without, Garrus isn't one of them Posted Image.

My favorite ME2 squadmates are Miranda, Samara, Jack, and now Kasumi, so I don't want to lose them.  I fully expect Garrus and Tali to be important in ME3, so I'm not messing with them either.  And I want a cure for Thane, so I wouldn't kill him now, that's just mean!

Zaeed is looking pretty expendable to my paragon Shepard...

I haven't even DL'ed Zaeed.  Or Kasumi.  I should, though.  I want that dress for future possible interactions with Kaidan. ;)

heh, if we get something Kaidan related in a DLC...you bet I'll purchase the Kasumi one while I'm at it...just for the dress. Right now I really don't give a flying *beeeeeeppp*. Nor do I care about yet more armor and weapons or whatever other trinkets they can come up with like sunglasses and new outfits. If I wanted that I would return to a MMO to focus on the shiny stuff.
DLC I would buy in a heartbeat is dialogue related, party banter, extra friendship dialogue, mail, extra dialogue options for NPCs like KAIDAN, Anderson etc etc.

Kasumi is pretty awesome, and her DLC is fun, although the mission is short (but all loyalty missions are too short, in my opinion).  Definitely worth the cost, even if she doesn't acknowledge the Virmire Survivor in her talks.

Zaeed is free, so you might as well get him.  His loyalty mission pissed me off, but he's a convenient squadmate if you want to have a death or two (since we know that the DLC characters probably won't be squadmates in ME3).

This.

I wouldn't mind my alliance casual uniform back though, right now I'm using one of the wardrobe mods so that I'm not running around in a Cerberus uniform.

Thanks Sia Posted Image

I originally wasn't planning on that chapter, I just had Kaidan making Shep eat before going back to her quarters but then Garrus dropped by followed by Joker and then I had several pages of dialogue.

I realized in the shower one morning that it had to be focused around Kaidan’s thoughts about the conversation he was hearing around him. It’s kind of disturbing that I’ve had several insights as to what I need to do to a particular chapter in the shower.

The most popular line of chapter 5 seems to be the one about Joker mentioning that Shep lost the tattoo that that said "property of Kaidan Alenko" on her ass when she was rebuilt. I added back in at the last minute after I mentioned it on the thread and Chem / Sesh insisted it go back in.

I really appreciate all the work you and the other betas did for me yesterday and all week while I reworked 1-3. I’m not a natural writer and I tend to suck hard core at grammar. I’m never going to dazzle people with my use of the english language but at least with all the help I’ve managed to put together something I don’t cringe at reading. To resurrect the topic of killing squadmates off, on this playthrough of ME2, I think I'm going to try getting all the upgrades but not doing any loyalty missions and see how it plays out. If I don't get at least the minimum 2 surviving squaddies so that Shepard doesn't die, then I will go back and do a couple loyalty missions as necessary.

If you do the upgrades to the ship but not loyalty then you lose the following I think which gives you more than the min people so Shepard doesn't die.

-person in the vents
-someone in the bubble
-someone in the final fight

Here's Ecael's thread "The Worst Possible Playthrough for Import to ME3" It's really great for tips on how to kill certain party members on the final mission.

What about holding the line and the escort for the crew?

It's not killing people off.  It's their own damn fault if they're so distracted by their daddy/offspring/whatever issues that they can't get the effing job done right :innocent:  Where's the concept of "leaving it at the door"?  Kaidan didn't need us to take care of any issues for him in order to do his job.
