LOL, some people (ladies, mostly, it seems) like Carth. 

It's funny, when KOTOR came out, I was on the Bioware forums, and it seemed like everyone had more Bastila-hate than Carth-hate.  Then came Mass Effect, and the biggest complaint about Kaidan was that he had the same voice as Carth.  Geez...

Have to say it was odd to hire the same VA for the role of LI twice in a row. Not that I'm complaining because I love Sbarge's voice, but why would they have done it? I mean they should have known people would still have fresh memories of KoToR. Despite the difference in tone of voice, pace and obvious difference in game characters...it's still pretty much the same voice.

I think a lot of the Kaidan hate might actually be hate from Carth and Kaidan combined, simply because some see them as one character because of the voice. Heh...works the other way around too. I love Carth, and love Kaidan

And I'm back on a real computer. Means time to check out that DeviantArt group. I have one pic to recommend besides the ones by group members (primarily Jho and Winde) I think someone here had a list of favorite Shenko pics on DA... I seem to remember being entertained by them when my power went out once.

@Jho - the teens got me to play ME in the first place by telling me Carth was in it, lol.  I wouldn't care if Sbarge voiced every LI in every Bioware game, Although I can't fault Steve Valentine's Alistair

@chem - no there are no bad Kaidans to wake up to.  forgive me I'm still half alseep

and now that I've mentioned them all this is appropriate

 So true. ...Just thinking about their voices makes me go a bit melty.  Although I think Steve Valentine in particular can really grow on one.  Very cute smile (imo).  Liked his character on Crossing Jordan a heck of a lot more than the main character primarily because he made Nigel such fun to watch.

P.S.  Good afternoon everyone!  Just came on after a bike ride followed by (bleah!) housecleaning. 

@ Sesh....the Triple Treat made me feel much better after spending an hour mopping floors!

Cool, Star! I went to work out in the gym before taking a drive out to the ocean today to celebrate the nice weather (and Beltane...)

Ocean...Mmmmmm... I live inland and it's a lovely day. However, the bike trail runs beside a canal so there's lots of things blooming, plus birds and dragonflies.

@Star - I remember the first time I heard Alistair say "my love".  I got goosebumps.  It was 3am and I was in the middle of the Deep Roads and half asleep after playing non stop for a day and a half.  It certainly woke me up, lol

@ Sesh:  I keep finding reasons to play DA:O just to hear SV's voice....  And I haven't been able to force myself into a 2nd playthrough of Awakening just because his voice really isn't there.  Anders is cute but he's no Alistair.   

It's like KoTOR without Carth........

Hey all. I'm new here so I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a die-hard Shenko fan (obviously) and I just finished my first playthrough of ME2. I stayed faithful, so I'm really hoping that my decisions pay off in ME3.

Believe me, if BW doesn't reward the faithful, there will be 300+ KAAS members on their doorstep waving Kaidan flags.
