I still think she might be a stereotypical Hormonal teenager, rich girl sterotype in movies. The ones that will always use the nice guy in order to get their man type back. The only one that didn't follow this stereotype was Legally blond, because the nice guy won the girl.

The email system wasn't what I thought it would be, probably because the premise behind email is replying to people. -.-

This.

Seriously everyone in the universe can email Shep but she can't send email herself?

And how in the hell do they know her super secret Cerberus email? Or is it her Spectre/Alliance address? And wouldn't that be shut down after two years since she kind of died?

This email is more like "letters to Santa" <_<

IIRC one of the emails said they got the email address from Udina of all people. Posted Image

I think that this was, if you put him in charge of the Consulate, or the council basically.

I think I got the Udina reference in a mail even if I put Anderson on the council. It seems like Aria knows Shepard's email as well, another mail makes a reference to her.

Yeah that was the bloke you rescued from the crazed biotics who wanted reparations in ME1, Burns I think.  Then some colonist also managed to get Sheps email addy from a marine stationed wherever she was.  I actually wondered whether it was Kaidan.   But hell even the escaped criminal from Pergatory managed to send Shepard an email.Posted Image

I'm baffled at how anyone has Shepard's email without her directly giving it to them

I'm not having a bad day at all...

That's how I honestly feel about what they're going to do; I don't trust the writing, especially after the political marketing dialogue that happened in regards to carryovers and the ME1 LIs. I would much rather be pleasantly surprised than to be upset again at what they decide to do in the next game.

I personally hope that Ash/Kaidan don't have a loyalty mission in ME3 if they're squadmates. In ME2, they both state, "I trust you; I just don't trust Cerberus". So, even while they're fighting with Shepard, there still is a degree of loyalty and trust there. There's also a very high level of worry on their part that Cerberus is trying to manipulate Shepard.

To give them a loyalty mission in ME3 would be silly unless it were completely optional and didn't have a bearing on their survivability. I think the fact that Shepard's defeated the Collectors ought to be enough evidence for Ash and Kaidan that Shep's in the right place.

totally agree here:o

You had to gain Garrus' and Tali's loyalty.  *snort*

I see it less as gaining their loyalty and more helping them square away loose ends so they aren't distracted. That's my reasoning and I'm sticking with it!

That's how I look at it. There were few of them that could be considered 'helping out a friend' and I prefer that point of view to the 'earn their loyalties by doing some mission'

they join shepard because they believe in her...not because cerberus asks them. i am not shure with Tali but i am shure that garrus joins because he wants

Yes, I agree with that point of view.  Especially since their missions were the "heaviest" of the lot.  Treason and Betrayal aren't issues you want to run a suicide mission while being worried about.

They were still called Loyalty Missions, though.  I can see having to do something similar for Kaidan/Ashley and Liara with the catchall name of "Loyalty Mission."

I'm hoping that ME3 doesn't make us have to go through "Loyalty" missions for the squad again. It's the end game. They don't need to make us sit through a bunch of filler crap.

I do think there should still be a Kaidan/Ash quest.

Yeah, but that is certainly is a thing I will forgive BW. They call it the same way, probably because the quests were in the same script folder as the rest... something like that. Might have been a pain in the butt to rename them.
Even if not - it's a minor flaw I can overlook.

I don't have a problem with a Kaidan/Ash/Liara Quest, as long as it is well done and fits the character and their situation. If they want to call it a loyalty mission - so be it. If it feels right, I have no problem with it.

I'm actually hoping for it to go back to the ME1 format, where the main story drove it and the filler was just there as something extra, rather than what they did in ME2.  I pre-ordered ME2, but I won't be doing that with ME3, unless we get some major Kaidan spoilers that tell me its worth getting.

Really? Nuh, no matter how much I whine and complain, I will play ME3 - I can't leave it unfinished and I didn't think ME2 was all bad. I did have fun with it - even if it couldn't keep up with ME1. But yeah, I'd be lying if I said I won't finish it... or wouldn't want to finish it.

i agree with you...i played first ME2 and then ME1...so that means i liked it pretty much...as like i didn't know who was Kaidan Alenko, i did not care about his cameo...and i remember in my first esported playthrough i was like OMG kaidan it's you, i am so happy, and then i see how mad he is at me and i am like whaaat? (the thing is if you don't romance him he isn't that mad at shep), and i doubt that i leave this story unfinished...i just can't

I would be interested in a "historical" quest for background Kaidan (I think we got quite enough Liara background in ME1 and ME2), perhaps as DLC rather than a main story line and certainly not as a pre-requisite to his being "loyal".

By the bye, I've got Chapter 15 up at fanfiction.net.  It's getting really hard to write because I know exactly what's going to happen in the next three chapters.  I've been taking turns writing sad, sad things and angry Kaidan argument dialogue for later.  :crying:  I'm going to need a seriously fun story after this one to take my mind off it.
