Hey Stephee, I didn't realise you were an Aussie. there doesn't seem to be many of us floating around, not in this thread anyway. I'm a born & bred westie, lived in the western suburbs of Sydney all my life. As I explained to Star, you don't hear a lot of strine (aussie slang for those that don't know) in the suburbs these days, more likely to hear it in the bush. I have run across a few people who talk like that, lolstephee wrote...
good morning all, hope you all are having good days/nights/whatever.
@sesh and star - love the fic, made me feel all nostalgic though i'm yet to meet anyone who uses the vernacular as much as your mechanic. even i don't. Sesh, which part of this sunburnt country are you from? i'm in NSW.
@jho, while i love the new version of waiting, is it possible for you to leave the old version up as well? i guess i can understand if you didn't think it was right, but i did like that version.
and on a totally random note. My exile just met with Carth and I got all sad when he told her to tell Revan if she finds her "simply tell her Carth Onassi is waiting for her". I had a Kaidan moment there.

It shows excellent use of that quote you just mentioned, Sesh. I actually thought of doing something similar at the end of my Shenko vid because it was actually fairly heavily inspired by this vid, but couldn't really think of something that would work.

In regards to an earlier discussion, I would like to see the Virmire survivor to have a background based quest - as someone said, not a loyalty quest and it could be optional but just to get to know more about the character.
I'm also not sure how I see them getting Kaidan/Ashley back into ME3 - and I'm assuming they'll be squadmates (they damn well better be, those cameos can take a flying leap). I had no expectations going from ME1 to ME2 because I picked up ME1 maybe a couple weeks before ME2 came out. I wanted to play ME2 but I didn't want to start the second game in a series without playing the first so I went right from 1 and straight into 2.

Kaidan: Shepard, the Council has sent me to find you.
Shepard: Oh really? And why is that.
Kaidan: They want to talk to you.
Shepard: Why didn't they just email me?
Kaidan: Well apparently you NEVER ANSWER YOUR EMAILS.
Shepard: Oh, right.
Or Cerberus computers apparently lack the ability to answer emails. Kind of like fish tanks in 2185 lack the ability to have automatic feeders ... /rude stupid perpetually dying fish.

I just got the game last week, and I already encountered Kaiden on Horizon which ended not too pleasantly. I still wanna be with him, but I also want to see what's gonna be happen with FemShep and Jacob.
So I'll pursue this new relationship, BUT only if I can I dump him in the end. That's an option, right? And if I do dump him in the end, will my relationship with Kaiden continue in ME3? Thank you!

When you start up the relationship with Jacob, Kaidan's picture in the captain's quarters will fall over. When you break up with your ME2 LI, it should be put back upright. If you're worried about it, you might want to have a "faithful" save and a "moved on" save. I just watched the ME2 romances on YouTube, all my Shepards are saving theirselves for Kaidan. He better be grateful!!!

Hey Stephee - thanks much, glad you liked it. Re use of vernacular, I suspect our towie does it intentionally....loves to yank the tourists chains....

@Star - as an Aussie I feel I should say that if the towie realized whose chain he was yanking, it would have only made him yank it harder, lol
@ Sesh -- LOL! I have to admit that there are any number of places in the US where that would be true as well. Good thing we didn't allow her to be armed or I suspect the poor bugger, regardless of his attitude or dexterity, would have ended up as a grease spot on the road. This IS Shep we're talking about after all!

Wait! I just thought of something! Yes, dangerous I know but here's how they'll get Kaidan and Shepard back together. The Council WILL send Kaidan to get her:

Kaidan: They want to talk to you.
Shepard: Why didn't they just email me?

I loved this, I thought the same thing since they have automatic feeders now!!
I liked the gameplay in ME better then ME2 because it gave you more freedom to expore and let you choose how to approch each mission/ assignment / more the assignments. I also thought Shepard was more graceful in ME - hey at least she could dance, she seemed to forget how in ME2
Have a safe Night!!!!
Off to work ..... they need me .....

Loved it! Really makes me want some DLC or ME3 though I doubt they will handle it with the detail displayed in all the fics. Anyway thank you, just what I needed this morning...a great fic.

How old are most people here? I've heard some here say they have children... which leads me to believe that I'm probably one of the younger people here, though I vaguely recall someone openly admitting they were under eighteen. I myself am in my early 20's - 24 years old.
Someone said the average age of the Kaidan group is 26.5 years I believe.
