I'm making myself a double strength green tea atm, I'm not a coffee drinker though for some reason I think my Shep is typically rather cranky till she gets her first cup of coffee in the morning.

That's funny... mine's a reformed chain smoker.  I've never smoked a day in my life due to asthma since I was 9.

Ki: I've promised Shenzi a proofread and I have I fight scene to write, but I'll take a look. The Rescue started moving a little faster last night.

Hehe... that's what I was thinking. But at the same time, I did have some major issues with the website - just fixed itself a few minutes ago.

Ah glad I wasn't the only one. That little voice in my head kept screaming "Update? DLC Update? KAIDAN!" when it was down heh..I'm weird like that :P

Then I guess that makes me weird too.

I checked the mass effect 2 website looking for details on the DLC even though I had told myself I woudn't do it.

Any help is welcome. I'll just send you the link - and when you have time to just check for major typos and grammar mistakes, I'd be really grateful. Would be great if you could let me know once you had a look.

And once again I apologize... patience and I just don't get along, but at the same time I don't want to pressure anyone, heh.

Read Chapter 8.  I'll leave you a review on FF.net.

*shivers in fear* you sometime sound so very serious, Sia... :crying: especially in combination with my paranoia.

Awwe... thanks! I really appreciate it. I sometimes just lose the battle with my paranoia buddy. Time to stomp him back into the ground.

LOL Ki I had the same feeling the first time I let Sia's red pen near one of my fics.  But it wasn't anywhere near as scary as I thought and it definitely made the fic much better.

Oh god the first time I let Sia near my fic she spent a full afternoon going over creative writing basics with me .  I actually felt a bit guilty after that for the amount of time she spent with me on it but it did wonders for my thought processes going forward with the subsequent chapters.

Okay now this is starting to feel a little awkward. Like we're talking about her behind her back, only where she is perfectly able to to read what we're saying!

We love you, Sia, but the fact that you're an aspiring professional writer can be a little intimidating sometimes before one gets to know you.

So, about that Kaidan... he's pretty hot, huh?

Meh, no worries, Jo.  I am an aspiring pro, but I'm not perfect. ;)  Y'all are making me blush, however.   Key word there is aspiring.  I haven't made it, yet.

Haha, I've offered my beta services only once here, but I'm a little relieved they didn't take me up on it.  I was an english tutor in college and do a lot of proofreading and grammar correction in my job; I wouldn't want to be too critical of the nice people here.  I am extremely picky about my own writing when it comes to grammar and style, so I don't want anyone else to be offended by my standards.  If it's not just chatting on the internet, I'm the proverbial grammar police.  Posted Image

oh god, we scared Night off with all our talk about letting people see her work.

Good morning Sia, Shenzi, Teen and anyone else I haven't said good morning too.  No you didn't scare me away was still at work and My officers got needy again and then I had to go for my morning walk, you know how us old ladies are.

I got a credit from direct 2 drive so I purchased KOTOR.  Thought I might as well join the rest of you with all the games, going to finish DAO first I think... but am in a ME2 mood.

Now you didn't scare me away, (I'm too old for that)  it may be that you will hate my work, that's fine.  I tend to be overly paragon and that could be boring I guess, but I figure I love reading how everyone interprets the characters so I think some people will like mine too.

Have a Great Day

Heh - plenty of us can put up the excuse that English isn't our mother tongue (Hurray for us... I don't know why I want to say hurray all the time... )

Compared to other forums, I think we have been blessed, because most people in this thread speak English rather well. I'm not perfect - but I think I'm understandable and I have yet to see a post that I did not understand at all.

@TZ - I think you'd run screaming if I ever sent you a chapter to do a grammar check, my chapters before they have been vetted out are really just that ugly grammar wise.

Keeping onto the topic, another uniform pic!

I don't even have that excuse for my craptastic grammar.

Grammar is an art, not a science.

I used to be a stickler, but I figured writers' jobs are to break rules and just adhere to the basics.

Yeah, I don't either, but I did live in NYC for most of my life so that could be my excuse, have you ever heard a New Yorker speak, goodness. Posted Image

I agree, and it definitely depends on the type of writing -- I expect much different things from journalistic writing than I would from creative writing, and I don't freak out about grammar on forums...although I will freely admit I wish I could ban everyone from the internet who are too lazy to spell out "you" and "are".  Posted Image

@Nightodie:  Haha, I'm a Noo Yawker, and I've only recently admitted that I have the accent.  But my mother was a teacher who taught High School Spanish, French and English as a Second Language, so we would have been given tons of grief if we spoke in slang at home.  I guess that was one good thing about my mom's nagging.  Posted Image

Funny, for some reason I have a mid western accent.  My mother and brother have Brooklyn accents but every in NY always asks me where I'm from :

Friend: so where are you from?
Me: Brooklyn
Friend: No I mean originally.
Me: Brooklyn
Friend: no where where you born?
Me: Brooklyn

You get the Idea.  I think it's because I watched TV all the time/ but now here in Washington they think I sound more like them.  I don't think so.
