Thanks for sharing. This is going to be a happy image in my head. You do a great job of capturing the voices of each - goes beyond what's in the game, but I can hear each of them saying these lines. NICE!

btw, i have a random thought/gripe/wonder.

just finished a shep import from ME1. at the end of the end of the ilos-night scene, you get the choice to either tell kaiden you are not giving him an order/making him your pet or take the damn right line and tell him to get in bed.

his line back if you take the neutral or paragon choice is "this can't change anything." i never noticed that before, but the line just...i dunno. do you all take that line as him being unenthusiastic about shep, typcial cautious kaiden, kaiden realizing that he's about to give his heart away and trying to hang onto it for just a second longer...or what? it just seemed like such a business-like line. but i just couldn't bring my shep to tell him to shut up - just so not like her.

@SQ: I took the line "this can't change anything" to indicate that they couldn't let their personal relationship affect the professional responsibilties of serving together. They were about to cross a line that could realistically affect their judgement as officers

i guess since i always do the virmire mission last, i find the last few conversations very emotionally charged coming off of that. as i play it, shep saves the ranking officer, but she's damn glad that kaiden was the ranking officer. she's realized already that kaiden is affecting her judgement as an officer. so... again, just seemed like a funny thing to hear at that time. 

i like the way that shep's response to his "this can't change anything" is to wink at kaidena dn then jump him. ;D

My thought is it's typical cautious Kaidan.  I think he knows there's a reason there are regs against fraternization and he wants to make sure that his and Shepard's relationship doesn't compromise their professional lives.

I find it happens to me with the ones that come out chapter by chapter each week.  Usually by the time the next chapter comes out I've read so many others that I have to read the whole thing again to remind myself what the story is up to, lol.  I can't read fics when I'm trying to write anything though, it throws my concentration right off.

typical cautious kaiden, indeed. ah well. it's what i love about him. my earlier para-renegade shep was just sort of "screw the rules" so it made sense. my main shep is so dang cautious herself that it was funny to hear kaiden say that.



it's funny: it took me a while of playing through the conversations to get one that made me feel like the kaiden/shep romance was playing out the way i liked (anyone else do this - over and over again?) but that last line was one i just didn't care for as much. eh well (shrugs)

I must admit I took it as this also.  although the first time I heard it I was a bit taken aback, thinking that he could have been meaning it was a one nighter.  I quickly banished that thought though after remembering that he always leaves a way out and that he doesn't take things lightly.  It just wouldn't be in character for him.

i read a fic  (don't know who's, too many fics) in this fic Kaidan asks Shep why him and not Ash, she says because he was the LT, a biotic and a tech, things that were needed fot the mission. In the end, she was lying.

It's true. i mean, besides that, He is a really useful soldier. By the way, i was realy pissed in ME when you let Kai/Ash die and it's like no one cares about their death or what Shepard has to do. Sometimes i think shepard is not human in ME...she doesn't get sad, just mad, and usually at the council.

At least in ME2 they let you interfiere in conversations

so yeah, i notice in a lot of fanfic there's these references to shep's blue eyes. are most of you all playing blue-eyed sheps? i picked the eyecolor #1 on the spectrum. can't decide if it's blue or green or grey. i like it.
