Evening all
Meh, to the new dlc. Sounds rivetting, well I'm sure it does to someone anyway. Oh great, exploring in the hammerhead, someone kill me now, lol. why can't I go back to the crash site and rescue the Mako. If its left there, some merc is just going to pinch it anyway, so my Shep may as well nab it first

Plus it would give Garrus something to do besides calibrations.

Morning, y'all.

We can only hope.

I sure don't want to have to write a fic after ME3 is released called "Just because Mass Effect 3 was that Bloody Awful"

LoL, Shenzi, I wouldn't worry about that. If it isn't in ME3 - we'll be able to write stories with titles like:

"Virmire This - The attack on BioWare" or "About Pitchforks and Torches - Their use in modern society" or "The social changes in the gamer community - Female gamers burn down BioWare buildings"... you know something like that.

No kidding lol

Been freeze framing through the Horizon dialogue and it really does feel as if Kaidan was a rush job, so many glitches in his animations. It made me cranky.
DLC news did nothing for me either...well maybe triggered a yawn or two.

I admire your dedication Jho, I tend to skip through the Horizon dialogue as fast as possible now.  If I need a Kaidan fix I just go load up some of the ME1 fraps movies I've saved.

I prefer using ME2 shots when I can. Wish I could create a maleshep with Kaidan's model just to take snapshots of. Muting the dialogue helps but sadly it doesn't hide how his eyes roll in abnormal ways in their sockets or how he grimaces horribly at times.
There is no way his animator could not have spotted that when looking at his/her work. Would think they checked every frame with care, so how the hell could they have missed that stuff?

aw Jho , you know Kaidan was added as an afterthought.  The lame dialague as well as  the poor animations prove that.  We were all supposed to get so mad at him that our Sheps ran off with someone else because the other romance options were so great.  Posted Image

They didn't miss it - they just didn't care. As pointed out - it is a cameo, by a male character that is not the PC. Besides, maybe BW decided to turn a blindeye to the female community. Makes you wonder if someone dismissed the claims of our existence.
Maybe it was intentional - the horrible dialog and animation glitches:
Because the text is so horrible, they count on us skipping through the cutscene.
Sorry... frustration speaking...

@Sesh: Yeah, it really does seem like. Really a shame...

Looks like it. His animator should hide in shame for the dialogue animations. The cutscene was fine I think. Maybe it was time or budget stuff, who knows..but still free roaming eyes like that? Come on.

Happy to hear that you have been working on more chapters. I'm looking forward to them!
I also started working on Chapter 10 - despite my good intentions to work more for uni... *sighs* I just can't help it. When I have an idea in my head I have to write it down or I can't focus on anything else and last night and today it seems to just flow very nicely...

Morning thread!

@Jenova: My sympathies, and I hope we're sufficiently distracting until you get some good news.

And in honor of distracting... Sapphy's got Chapter 4 of Everything's Not Fine posted! Go read. It's good.

Hee hee Star Trek online is patching so I can answer - I have several things that came to mind and wrote them out when they came to me, the survey was a good example of that. It just came to me and I needed to write it down!

I am still lurking, my husband had to go to hospital last night (pains in chest, has previous history) they say it wasn't a heart attack but it was heart pain and are looking into what might be causing it, I feel a bit useless atm, so thought some mindless internet would help.......
Anyway my view on DLC is that it should raise the level cap tbh, new missions are all well and good but no character progression sucks!

@ Jen -- seems like you've had quite a month!  *hugs*  I hope your husband is feeling better soon.

Jen stay away from google and wait for the doctors - then go and check google to make sure it's right - don't be afraid to ask for a second opinion!

@Jen - I'm with Night and it's smart of you to stay away from google for the moment. Humans are pretty good at scaring themselves and honestly, as helpful as reading up on something can be, reading and trying to sort through symptoms and possiblities is also  great way to raise all those 'what if' questions that get our adrenaline flowing and our fear levels rising further.  Take care of yourself too in all of this.

...my god, Sapphy! You are evil! Evil I tell you! Are poor Shep and Kaidan ever going to sort things out?
