I used to hang on the Dragon Age boards mostly.

I actually defended Kaidan a few times when the topic of leading males came up and there'd always be some jerk calling Kaidan a wimp and they always killed him on Virmire and blah blah blah.

THIS. I was dead set on staying loyal to Kaidan when I went into ME2 and managed to avoid Garroo's charms just fine, Thane on the other hand... but let's not get there, I don't have a death-wish.

Hehe, i think that as long as you don't say that Jacob > Kaidan, you're pretty much safe here!

I want to know - where were you all before ME2 was out, because I felt like the loneliest Kaidan fangirl in the world? :(

Mmm. Trying hard not to lust too much after my sexy guy friend who first showed me Mass Effect; also, playing Dragon Age and romancing Alistair.<3

Oh, Alistair... *weak, lovesick sigh*  But that... that is for another thread.

I despise people like that.  *hiss*

Hmm, okay, I need some help: beer, amaretto, or peppermint schanpps?

well definitely not all 3 of those together.

Ick, god no, not together. Trying to figure out what to drink since my writing muse is fading fast. Posted Image

Ooh, depends on the beer. What kind do you have? It's Cabernet Sauvignon for me tonight. I haven't had amaretto in ages. Mmmm, so good, though.

Grasping at straws to make this on topic: I wish you'd gotten to have drinks in ME1 with Ash and Kaidan, would have been a good time. Shep totally took them out for stress relief drinks after those first meetings with the Council. Ah, yes, "drinks".

Alistair was one of my first major ficitional character crushes since Spike from Buffy. Posted Image

Edit: I actually played ME1 the first time during Christmas since the roomie got it for me over Steam. Before, I had just seen other people play and was too busy in WoW to do much of anything else.

Just Michelob Light (as the boyfriend is the primary beer drinker in the house). I prefer Woodchuck, but if I drink, I prefer liquor. Even if it does have a tendency to cause the migraines. Posted Image

I hung out on the old forums, and even posted in the one or two Kaidan Alenko threads that popped up, but it's like all the Kaidan fans came out of the woodwork with ME2.

crimsonrhodelia - GAWD NO. If it was up to me I'd kick Jacob out of the nearest airlock in a heartbeat. Sorry for the potential Jacob fangirls, but he's just... ah man. The only way I'd have him was if he was some sort of... stuffed statue. Quiet and pretty to look at.

fortunesque - I know where YOU were. You were writing me some of the best Kaidan fanfics out there. ;)

EDIT/add: I definitely feel like all the Kaidan girls must have been hiding damn well, because I actually made a case trying to find you guys, but with very little luck... There I was, all alone, drawing Kaidan-fanarts and nobody to urge my fangirlism on... -insert sob story here-

I think there's so little Kaidan in ME2 that the people who wanted more and kept to the sidelines are now out and shaking our collective fists in dismay!

As an aside I find Jacob a little more likable, having dodged the romance minefield (renegadeish choices). Doesn't have much to say now but at least he gives my FemShep a bro-hug lol.

In fact, I founded this thread on the old forums

And then it got locked after they announced the cameos of Liarashidan :crying:

And I posted in that thread Posted Image

I was playing DA:O and on this forum arguing fruitlessly over Alistair vs. Loghain. I got really, really tired of it fast...there's no convincing the "other" side of the "truth" (you know, my side).

I would occasionally go over to the old forum to lurk in the ME2 forum, but there were a lot of haters, and the info coming out about the ME1 love interests was breaking my heart.

OMG I can't wait.

I also want to read the conversation where Liara asks Ash what a "beej" is, one day.

You know I recall Ashley didn't get a lot of support before ME2, now she has a decently sized topic for her too.

It's like the ME1 LIs got ignored till now. Tragic :/

I did a lot of squeeing during Alistair's romance, that's for sure. Laughing, too. Lampposts. Heh.

@Sapph: Woodchuck is amazing! I wish I had some right now, actually. Mmm

I think I started lurking around the BW boards around the time that thread was posted (remember the mutton chops comment in particular). I followed the Liarashidan threads diligently and they helped me not to get my hopes up. Man, there were some heated debates about how BW would be handling the ME1 LIs, that's for sure. A lot of people saying they wouldn't even buy the game, etc...

I lurked on the old forums occasionally, but the amount of haters usually drove me out in five minutes. I don't want to spend my free time reading that sort of crap. I'm all thumbs up for more positive sandboxes! :) Ah wells, I'm just glad you guys are up and fighting for the #1 humanhunk of the ME galaxy. Here's to hoping that Kaidan/femShep turns really epic in ME3! I sure can't wait to see that, even if my canonShep kinda slipped into Thane's arms... Kaidan will still always have that special place in my heart. And maybe at least one of my Shepards can have a happy ending in ME3, because the one in love with a dying man is really just asking for an achy breaky heart.

Excellent again! Kaidan realising he'd have to tell the crew...:crying: One thing, the link at the very end to your art just showed up as ".com" for me, thought I should point that out.

Alistair was nice, definitely the best of the DA:O romances. Male chars got Morrigan and they could have her, she has the personality of a toad. :wizard:

Yeah, ff.net has crazy spam filters. You have to explain to people how to find you on a separate website using clever paraphrases.

Oh, lol, Fort! Rereading that thread on the old boards again, I just realised that you were the one you posted the following:

" Posted: Friday, 23 October 2009 10:41PM
"It's been a long time since I've met a woman who uh..."

-rocked my socks
-wore me the hell out (when he sits up, his hair is plastered to the back of his head in sweat roflcopters)
-could bend that way
-made me feel all mushy and stupid
-left me alone in the bed naked to get dressed and stare at me creepily"

I've never been able to forget the "could bend that way" and "stare at me creepily"! :D

Edited for clearer quoting!
