@Lady of the Waters - yes spiteful haters do exist (though I haven't seen any in this thread) but they are in the minority and they aren't just unique to the support threads. I actually tend to be a person that generally tends to stick to this thread because this is where I'm comfortable. I was pretty much a lurker on these forums and the old ME forums until I decided to jump into this thread one day. I do look at the threads on the rest of the forum though and will post in them if I feel strongly enough on the topic under discussion. but generally I find that the haters are going to shout you down if you disagree with them, whilst here we can have a civilised discussion without it turning nasty and we have a lot of fun as well.

This 100%.

Lady, there have been multiple threads of people sharing your viewpoint. The difference is that those people did not go into the character threads to say that their thread shouldn't be on this forum or whatnot. If it concerns you that much, pm a mod. Complaining to the character threads that they're doing something wrong or causing problems is only going to ****** a bunch of people off.

Lady, there have been multiple threads of people sharing your viewpoint. The difference is that those people did not go into the character threads to say that their thread shouldn't be on this forum or whatnot. If it concerns you that much, pm a mod. Especially since the BW mods were the ones who deemed that this forum was the "correct" forum for these threads.

Scold? No, simply expressing why I am not too fond of character support threads. I am not telling anyone that they need to behave in a certain way. Just putting my 5 cents in on the matter. I say what I say because I *am* concerned for the community, what effects it *has* on the community does not change the fact that I still said it out of concern.

Stirring up trouble? No, just seeing what people's opinions on the matter are. You'd be surprised to know that not everyone disagrees.

A tad late for that now, wouldn't you say? I posted in different threads because I wanted to see different support groups viewpoints and didn't believe that I would gain the attention of multiple viewpoints by posting and individual thread. It won't happen again, I just felt strongly on this particular matter.

I'm sorry, but that is scolding, whether or not that was your intent. And we know that folks want to move the character threads to their own forum for varios reasons. There are probably some people that post regularly here that share that opinion.

Multiple threads about character threads have opened up, stating their opinions in various ways. In order to enhance the spirit of community, why not post in those threads? Again, posting the way you did in the character threads is unnecessary and serves to drag the threads completely off topic. If you're that concerned over the apparently abysmal state of the community here because of character threads, pm a mod because they can actually do something about it. Because I want to hear different viewpoints and didn't think I could get that by posting and individual thread. I am not scolding them, I am expressing why *I* as an individual do not like it, I am expressing my wishes and opinion. Not telling people what they can and can't do.

Like I said, too late to change that now. I've given my reasoning for doing so. If I was to create a thread at this point it would seem pointless to all as I have already received sufficient feedback from people.

It's neither. It's the medium you used to present it.

This is a thread about Kaidan and now it's a thread about the existance/moving of character threads. All discussion about Kaidan has ceased and a bunch of folks have "gone to bed" in lieu of posting more.

Again, anyone is welcome to post here as long as it generally stays on topic. This is in compliance with the forum's TOS.

Hi can anyone direct me to a post that has the full email that Kaiden sends to Shepard after they meet on Horizon? I had trouble importing my ME1 character that romanced him so never got to see it, only hear about it.

This wouldn't be the first time a character support thread has gone off topic... But very well, I can see why you would complain. Character threads should stay on topic to the actual character. I apologize, this doesn't change my views on the matter but I do apologize. All I ask is that we argue no longer, I tire of this, as do you all I assume. I may or may not create another thread discussing this particular issue. I will not bother any of you if you do not harass me. However I fear that now I may be in even more trouble of not being able to engage in civilized discussion of characters and instead will just be shunned/outcast due to what I have said.

Here's a video of his email. You may want to fullscreen to read it.

Though Horizon sucked, I thought the email was very sweet and very true to Kaidan.

Also, if you have ME2 pc and want to have a save that will import for your game, Mass Effect Saves has some that made just about every combination of decisions.

I’m sorry for what I said on Horizon. I spent 2 years pulling myself back together after you went down with the Normandy. It took me a long time to get over my guilt for surviving and move on. I’d finally let my friends talk me into going out for drinks with a doctor on the citadel. Nothing serious, but trying to let myself have a life again, you know?

I'd just like to say good on you to sticking to your beliefs and viewpoints despite what people may have said. I agree however that you should have posted an individual thread for something which is obviously a big issue to you, and you really brought us off topic from Kaidan, which is never a good thing. As long as you can discuss Kaidan from here on out then I'm fine with you conversing with us. I've never been one for shunning/outcasting people anyway.
