shep could always get hold of a pair of handcuffs and slap them around both their wrists, then drag him on board the Normandy. "Joker, I'll be in my bunk"

depending on which shepard,
one would probably just want to kiss him passionately. one of the others will be dragging Kaidan around a corner and probably.........i don't think i should continue. that would probably be a renegade interrupt though.

Meh I can't stand Teagan, lol. Alistair is the only one for me in DAO,( although I wouldn't have minded having a go at Ser Gilmore or the templar in charge at the chantry in Lothering,,lol) just like Kaidan is the only one in ME, and Carth in Kotor

Oh my Goddess... you are the first Ser Bryant fan I ever meet... besides myself!!
Ahaha... I'm so glad I am not the only one.I really liked Ser Bryant... gosh I wish I could have knocked him out and drag him out of Lothering...
And Ser Gilmore... yes, that had a lot of potential, I think. Though you see him a few times... I really liked him. Broke my heart when I had to leave him behind.

As for my preferences:
Kaidan is special because he could be the guy next door (besides the biotics and the indestructable hair). He's mature, has his own opinion and a clear set of thoughts, he tries his best to achive his goals, even if it takes a bit of time and his small chuckles are absolutely heart-melting. Kaidan also values trust very highly and once you are there, he'll catch you if you fall.

Carth has issues... yeah, the funny thing is that I think everyone has them. His issues are larger than your everyday ones but he does his best to handle them. Does it make him whiney? No, I don't think so. I've seen people whine and cry more over issues they caused themselves. I like Carth because he's funny and he discovered a good deal of sarcasm for himself. He'll back you up and he dares to hope even if doubt yourself.

Alistair is just simply cute and adorable. Surely, he's still rather far from being grown up and he lacks a lot of expeirence in all terms of life but he tries. He's naive and tries to find something good in all things - maybe I like him a lot because I am the same way, I always try to find something positive. Sure, he's not the fastest and he needs to be nudged in the right direction but I appreciate that he is really trying.

All in all though, I don't think they are much comparable. Their mindset, background and growth throughout the story is so different that I can't say I prefer one over the other. I give them all 'penguin fings' up for being great characters and LIs.

P.S.: Penguins wings - used as fins under water = fings

*edit* I have not had any coffee... all typos you find you can keep. Feed them well and take good care of them.  Oh and sorry for the wall of text.*/edit*

You know, I don't think ME3 can ever be as romantic or give as much emotion as we want it to be. Not with the amount of dialogue per character they are using. That in fact by reducing Kaidan's role to a crappy cameo, they will disappoint us even more in ME3 because we got so little in ME2 and thus we need more. Since romances are really very short in duration compared to say DA, there is no way they can wrap this up in a satisfying way. No way for them to answer all questions we have, no way for Shepard and Kaidan to talk this out and still have enough dialogues left for the romantic, sweet stuff.
For some reason, I have a feeling it's going to be rushed, with us spending the majority of the little dialogue we get coming to terms with what happend over the past years and just another big reunion at the end of the game. The same pattern as Bioware allllwwaaayyss follows.

That you spend the time in ME3 just starting over but with history until, say Kaidan pops the question at the end and that's it...the end with maybe a fully clothed smooch scene, the final epic battle and some text stating they lived happily ever after or something.

ME is not DA, we don't get that amount of detailed dialogue so in my mind I'm starting to wonder how they can fit this entire relationship into a handful of dialogues and so far, it's not looking good.
Heh...from melting over a random screenshot I took to dark thoughts about where all of this is going to go. I need to stop this lol

And I can't chose both Carth, and Kaidan. I hardly think Carth Whines, because I haven't heard him whines yet any way.

The usual back and forth between optimism, pessimism and the hope and fear of what BW might do with Liara in ME3 or possible DLC.
It's been pretty dead this morning (Europe) though....damn timezones :pinched:

Well technically it's called moping in the game and to quote Carth himself :

"Moping? I'm not moping! I....okay, fine, maybe I'm moping a little, but you're very pushy, you know that?"

heh..awww Carth.

Oh, don't get me started on timezones lol
But yeah, fear can kick in hard at times. I think all fans share the same, especially since this is the last chapter of Shepard's story. If they mess it up, there's no sequel where they can attempt fixing it.

If they mess it up there gonna be people flying to Canada with torches and pitchforks
I'm in a bad spot, though, because I WANT to be optimistic but I always struggle between optimism and realism, you know....

We still have a nice pile of tar, colored feather boas, pitchforks and torches... I think once we ME1-LI warriors get together... it will be an interesting picture and strike fear into BW's heart

@Jho: I don't expect BW to make it perfect. Maybe they'll put in a bit extra effort because it is the last part... maybe they won't. But as long as we get a decent story line and dialog, I can live with it because I prefer a lot of the ff versions much better already. I personally thin that they have to be careful - because what they do will have a pretty big impact on the fan community.

I just hope they'll do it right - even if they can never satisfy our insatiable hunger for Kaidan.

yeah sure - by making Ashley/Kaidan actually hate you for working with Cerberus and making Liara the next Shadow Broker

oh wait, you were negative....that means I have to be positive to balance it out?
*needs some help here* ^_^
