My Shepard isn't mad at Kaidan either; honestly, when I get to Horizon and the not responding to his email in my fanfic, it's going to be tough to write because the whole thing screams, "this is not my Shepard".

Do what I did, Fort: say the hell with canon.  If it isn't your Shepard, change it so it is.

Yeah, but I don't know what's going to happen in ME3 and if I do something that is completely out of synch with the canon then it'll mess up my plans to write the fic through to the end.

Then again, ME3 might be absolutely awful in terms of what they do with Kaidan, so it might not even matter. :pinched:

I had a bromance with Kaiden in Mass Effect 1. The bromantic relationship soured a bit in Mass Effect 2 when he scolded me for joining Cerberus but I'm hoping I can make things right in Mass Effect 3.

Why do you have to write it with Shepard not responding to the email?

I'm getting an idea now actually.

She'd probably send a sexy photo along with a message that says, "This isn't secure at the moment, but wait for me. I'll be back."

I can see where that's an issue for people writing stories that span the whole trilogy.

I on the other hand jumped so far off base into A/U that there's no way my story is going to line up with ME3.

Yeah, I slapped canon in the face in one of my fics.

She got pregnant after Noveria (final mission) and they missed going through the Conduit.

Hello everyone. *waves*

Just dropping by for a bump from the Ash thread. Just completed my loyal to Kaidan Femshep ME2 playthrough. Hope it's worth it in ME3. *crosses fingers*

Yeah. I think my own stories aren't so incredibly far off-base that I won't be able to reconcile them with ME3. Perhaps with a little bit of modification if Kaidan has something to say about our lack of response to his e-mail. God and Goddess, Bioware had better not pull that on us considering it's their own damn fault we couldn't respond.

I know writing fanfic makes it hard to be completely true to cannon, but I'm trying to take the challenges of what ME2 gave us and work with it in my current story. So bad Horizon dialogue and no replying to the email, were checked as "Yep that happened.",

Hey, my Shepard had an actual reaction on Horizon, so I bypassed the email completely. (And yeah, she wasn't that mad. One good yell or two, and they're disgustingly lovey-dovey. Ordering pancakes for breakfast at 3am and all that... )

Well, I may as well put in another shameless plug for my video, whose link appears above. I'm not sure what the last pics you saw were, but there's a good chance you haven't seem some of the latest.

Poor Kbears :(

They shoulda had the Virmire survivor get podded then rescued at the end. They could have escorted the crew back to the SR-2, ensuring that another difficult carryover into the third game of if the crew lived or not could be dealt with. So the Virmire survivor is sent off with either a paragon or renegade farewell then escorts the crew safely back to the ship. Because they were podded, though, they pass out and end up in a coma, awakening in time for ME3.

That's how I approached it, as well.  Of course I'm now trying to explain to Kaidan why I didn't reply to his message.  That's taking some seriously fancy verbal footwork because the real answer was, "I didn't want to tell you I was falling in love with Thane, but he's dead now so it's okay."  :pinched:

I still think Jacob has no hips... or way too little. I'll take Kaidan over Jacob any time - body and personality wise. And no, I am not a Jacob hater. He's an alright guy, I just don't think he's attractive in any way.

As for sticking with the story... hahahaha... yeah, erm... no. I don't think my work will carry over into ME3. I just wanted to live some of my ideas and they are very much nothing like anything BW will throw at us.

As for my Shep being angry... I do understand Kaidan to some extent, but I also think that Shepard has a right to be a little frustrated. I added something so she could really be angry... needed it for my setup, that's all.

But enough from me... I'll cloak again.

Yeah that's actually where I went with it, I didn't leave him in the pod for very long.
