I'm a horrible backseat driver when it comes to watching my friend play games I've played before. "Why the hell are you doing that?" "Don't go there, that doesn't lead to anywhere." "Oh, pick that dialogue choice, that's a good response."Sialater wrote...
I don't need to make a male Shep. I just watch my husband play. Although he's playing a Renegade with an Ashley romance at the moment.
Needless to say, I'm not allowed to watch my friend play games anymore.

In the interests of staying out of divorce court, I don't offer advice till he asks and he doesn't offer till I ask.

Haha. I did that with my brother when he created his ME1 carryover game.
He wasn't playing right at all! His vanguard build was a mess! He didn't take the right squadmates and didn't use the powerwheel enough!

The only one I ever watched as he played ME1 was my big brother when he came by for a visit. And I was sitting there with clenched teeth after like two minutes. At first I was thrilled to have him try Mass Effect..but my brother well...he's the type that wants things to be perfect. Like if he dies, he hits the reset button and starts ALL over again. Yes indeed, he doesn't go back to an earlier save...no he starts over from scratch. So I watched him do the start of Eden Prime like 10 times.
Always been like that, tried Starcrafting with him once...the times I ended up alone in a game because he left and wanted to start over. "Your brother has left the game" .."Sorry sis, I made a mistake, can we start over?"
I do NOT play games with him anymore
He had a cute male Shep though lol

Needless to say, I'm not allowed to watch my friend play games anymore.I can't bear to see people play if they don't examine everything and talk to everyone and say everything that is possible to say to everyone and pick up every item and basically run around like a blue *rsed fly so as not to miss one tiny thing in the game...........:innocent:

Hiya - I'm back!
I try only to watch my son and husband play games that I don't play. Or we play them simultaneously and I'm too involved in my own game to interfere. ME works well for us because I have an Xbox copy and hubby's on the PC so we're in different rooms. Works better that way...

My friend refused to use the power wheel. I kept yelling "Overload! Use Overload! My god, you're in Infiltrator, OVERLOAD!" I've been a major power user for both games, the idea that he'd take on the entire galaxy with nothing but his sniper rifle was driving me mad.fortunesque wrote...

Oh right, and then he complained when he couldn't get past this one simulation on Pinnacle Station. I hadn't played the game in a few months, but I kept goading him that I could do it on my first try. It actually took two tries, and I ended up unlocking the pistol achievement that he had been hugely proud of not unlocking throughout his two playthroughs.
I don't think the friendship has recovered fully yet.

I have a tendency of doing that myself. It became so bad that my sister asked me to leave the room when she was playing.

Pfft. Shooter players.
That kind of attitude could get someone through in ME2, but ME1 is a different story, especially on higher difficulties.
I'm always using my powers. My vanguard, Kaidan, and Wrex mop the place up

FF.net: can't write sex scenes. Likes to eat submissions.
AFF.net: no author notes, no favorites, no subscriptions. Very little feedback.
DA: also no sex scenes. World's most annoying sign-up form.

You forgot Mediaminer, the worst fanfic site ever.
Insanely strict rules about posting, impossible interface, less feedback than aff, broken search feature, filters aren't useful.

My friend is, oddly, not a shooter player. He complained because there was one part in Deus Ex where he was required to kill someone in order to continue the game. He had gone through most of it only knocking people out.fortunesque wrote...

He's just the oddest gamer I've had the misfortune of watching play a game. Props to him for doing an entire game using the sniper rifle without falling back onto tech powers, though. Especially before he even had any points in the skill.
He still played the game wrong.

LJ or another blogging site would work, just put an age warning on explicit stuff and you should have no problems. Deviantart *should* have an explicit material warning you can use, I've seen some pretty spicy art on there, it would be ridiculous if they had stricter rules for writers.
