I think people tend to underestimate Jack and what exactly happened to her. She gets a biotic implant upgrade that mentions how human biotics get weaker with neural degeneration, but that Jack is mysteriously getting stronger. I really do think no human matches her biotics, including Kaidan. Think of the confrontation with Samara and Morinth, where their biotics were apparently equal and they needed Shepard to tip the balance. I don't think any human can have that same confrontation with Jack.JaerWolfe wrote...
Jack vs Kaidan...depends. To the death...Kaidan wins. Experience, cool vs hothead, take your pick. He can outthink her, he wins. Jack's power is probably stronger than his, but not by much. If its sparring...K's a gentleman, even w/Jack. He'd look at it as what can he learn from Jack's abilities rather than 'I must win at any cost' which is where Jack would come from.
But I'm talking solely about biotic power. All the power in the universe isn't going to guarantee success, especially if your opponent is smarter and more patient. This is why I said Thane could beat Jack in a fight in another thread, and that's why I think Kaidan would as well.
Jack might be more creative in her application of biotics, though.

Don't know if it is a reflection on her personality, but have you noticed she runs headlong into trouble when fighting, gets killed a lot for not making use of cover? (Thane uses cover well) I am trying to work out if it is a glitch or if BioWare did this on purpose!Pacifien wrote...

If Kaidan's a squadmate in ME3, I would like to see them define his biotics more based on his skill level. He ought to be one of the top three biotics on the team. I'd imagine his level of power is a little lower than Jack's, but his discipline makes up for it.
If Samara and him are both squadmates in ME3, it'd be cool to see them meditating together or something. One would assume that the role of a Justicar is to teach others as well.

It's the shotgun. Equip Tali, Jacob, or Grunt with their shotguns, and you'll find they have this huge aversion to staying behind cover. It's particularly annoying when Jack does it because she lacks any defensive or distractive power like the others.Jenova65 wrote...

I tend to think of Jack as having her barriers broken. There had to have been potential there or she wouldn't have been chosen, but the barriers were shredded to give her more. Kaidan...I tend to think of him as being somewhat afraid of his powers and therefore limited himself. Were something to happen to force him to break those barriers out of apathy or rage...say the death of the woman he loved...I wonder how strong he would be then. Particularly if he decided that to prevent his woman ever dying again he needed to be as strong biotically as he possibly could be.
Jack getting stronger makes me worry that in breaking those barriers, they have limited the safeties on her mind and she is burning out.
I agree that in a head on like M & S, Kaidan would be the weaker based on ME1 levels.
You do raise a good point about Jack and her creativity. There is a lack of empathy for other living creatures there that would have her less inhibited by society mores in killing. So yeah, she'd kill in interesting BloodRayne like ways.

Nah, the Justicar Code doesn't exist to bring about spiritual enlightenment according to Samara.fortunesque wrote...

But she'd probably teach Kaidan a meditative technique or two anyway.

I did speculate somewhat in the Jack thread on exactly why she of all people was chosen to be Subject Zero. They never say if it's because she demonstrated considerable biotic potential compared to the other children or if it was just random happenstance.JaerWolfe wrote...

I think her time at the Teltin facility was about both breaking down barriers as well as finding methods that unnaturally increase biotics. That was kind of the whole purpose of the other children: testing whatever methods gained positive biotic improvements before trying them on Jack.

One thing to keep in mind with fraps is that the AVI video files are quite large, if you plan on recording your whole playt hrough you prolly want to use another app to convert the files to a more compressed format.
