I circled around a title for my fic for a few days before I settled on the most obnoxious thing I could think of. I started off with "Just because Horizon sucked" and it went downhill from there.

Yeah, the Thane was intended to more smexy and less melodrama but it really got away from me. I came up with a title for this one that I don't hate, yet. Chapter One of The Double is available for your viewing enjoyment or gentle mockery.

After your comments earlier on doing this I thought of how Kate would be woken up and handing things and brainstormed some quotes.  It's interesting that I came up with material completely different to how you wrote this but then again Kate's prolly a much bigger b*tch .

I had planned after I finished writing my horizon sucks fic, to write a series of snapshots based on Kate's side of the story for the first three months she's awake before she rescues Kaidan from pod-dom.  My Horizon fic just has turned into fic-zilla, it was only supposed to be a quick 3 chapters so it might take awhile to get there.

My Shenko fic was created from just a random idea of how my Shep would be post-ME2. It's an exploration of her as much as it is an exploration of the Shenko relationship. It's going to continue until the story is told. Depends on how sidetracked Shep and Kaidan get.

And thanks to all the well wishes. I figure tomorrow will be the worst, kind of like how the day after a car accident is worse than the day of.

I hate how the game pretends that Shep isn't dealing with any serious issues after being resurrected.   So much emotional potential to explore and the game just ignored it.

Yeah, this one was randomly inspired by a comment someone made (probably here) about having a double agent on board the SR-2.

I'm right with you there, I diverged for 2 chapters but my whole fic has basically been Shenko fluff .  After reading your fic I might have to go into more detail of what happens when they get to Kaidan's appt!

So he's been completely oblivious to the "we are N7" wall paper, maybe I should swap in the trio and see if he notices

Hubby has a nasty habit of glancing over here whenever the trio are gracing my screen, through no fault of my own.  If he rolled his eyes any farther they'd get stuck backwards.    He does know about the stuff on DA as well as the Thane piece because I was whining so much about his refusing to die like a nice Drell.  He hasn't read any of it, though.  I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to know.

The BF started reading part of my last chapter over my shoulder, just picking a random paragraph to start with. I minimized the screen so he couldn't continue. He teases me enough these days with his "Ralph Alenko" impression.

I'm actually a CT transplant, hubby is the one tied to New Jersey but yeah, I can just hear it now although I don't associate it at all with Kaidan.

@Shenzi: Yep, neither do I, but he persistently annoys me with it. Because he thinks he's being cute.

Yeah, I really don't see the mobster feel to Kaidan, because he would have joined the family business, if you know what I mean, and would have not been with the alliance in the first place.

what would shepard wear for civilian clothes? the ME universe is all women in long gowns with opera gloves (please to God those don't actually come back in in the future) or with cut-outs (ditto) or they are wearing doctors tunics. are we to believe good old fashioned jeans and a t-shirt wouldn't be around in the future? shep seems like a jeans girl.
