Shep is definitely a jeans and T-shirt girl, or whatever durable and casual pants pass for jeans and T-shirts in a galaxy without enough cotton to clothe the billions.  Kaidan seems a bit preppier, though.  Maybe Khakis, and his shirts would definitely have a collar.

How does that *not* look like a nasty thatch up in there? And how in the hell did the devs not catch that?

  That one kills me every time.  From her stances, walk/jog, and sitting postures, I just can't get Shep as girly.  It may in part be because I'm such a tomboy myself but even I have a little more grace than that.

I was trying to be neutral about FemShep's animations, but when someone pointed out that the strippers in the game have their own motion capture, but she doesn't...it puts things in perspective.  :P

Oh, and my Shepard would wear activewear when in civvies.  Whatever the future equivalent of t-shirts and jeans are, she's there.  The casual colonist outfit in the game doesn't look comfortable at all.

As far as clothing for my femShep is concerned, she likes black with a splash of an accent color. She's also into gigantic snuggly sweaters and loves heels.

And if it's eccentric looking, she might just wear it.

In the lower level of Afterlife on Omega there is a batarian bartender who poisons humans.  If you order a drink and drink it you get the assignment.
sweet. i'll do it for the quest then. anything for a quest - almost. i still find rigging gambling machines dumb.

and actually, i take it back. i always get drunk with dr. chakwas. the comedic value is just too high.

Yes that and I want the information about Joker.  On the Wiki it says she remembers Kaidan too if he died on Vimire, does anyone know what she says? (Cause, yeah, I can't kill him, not even once)

Question for you all:

One presumes that you leave the station at the beginning of the game and take the shuttle to a ship that than takes you to Freedom's Progress. or that you've gone to a base somewhere that has a ship to take the shuttle there, or that you're on another station that just happens to coincidentally be within shuttle range of the colony.

So, is there any indication which of these is true? Is there any exterior shot or mention of a name or location during those two brief scenes before you get the Normandy? I'm writing a new fic that starts when Shep wakes up not dead and I'd like to either explain where she goes or have her make a snarky comment about the fact that she has no clue where she is but I don't remember any hints and I couldn't find anything via Google.[/quote

I just did this It looks like you take a shuttle to the base / talk to TIM / then take shuttle to Fredom's progress / doesn't look like any other ships involved until you get back and get the Normandy.

Sorry if this was answered before / just waking up and going through posts.

Night whoever is still out there :) I'll prolly be back in a few hours once the insomnia kicks in but trying for a few hours of sleep before that.
Well I am here now.  And I am from NY, CT girl / Brooklyn to be precise.  Live in Washington state now. Talk about wake up call.
sagequeen wrote...

alright: question that may or may not affect a FF:

what would shepard wear for civilian clothes? the ME universe is all women in long gowns with opera gloves (please to God those don't actually come back in in the future) or with cut-outs (ditto) or they are wearing doctors tunics. are we to believe good old fashioned jeans and a t-shirt wouldn't be around in the future? shep seems like a jeans girl.
I can't see there not being jeans and t shirts / and I have her sleep in shorts and  a tank top/ and sweat pants for the pod.

Off to work / see you in a few

Have fun everyone.  We are one day closer to ME3 and (please Bioware gods) more Kaidan.

Oh god, the walk/run animations are awful for either gender in ME2, but the sitting animations for a female Shepard... I see this in a lot of animations, actually. I think some male animators never realized that women do tend to sit differently than men. Or maybe that was just them giving ****-all about adjusting the animations to a female Shepard, which is just as likely.

Most likely they animated for male Shep and either got lazy or didn't realize/care that they wouldn't fit femShep so much.

Or it was too expensive to do the motion capture for thousands of different interactions for femShep.

Though they also cut the Ken mini-romance as well, so it shows that femShep isn't a priority IMO.

dear lord.

i agree, the leather casual uniform is just scary. it's what the slaves and oppressed colonists wear in the game, too, so that made me steer clear.

@ fort, i like your take on what shep would wear.

and i'm with you, i understand why they didn't do a separate motion capture, but you know what, i often wish they had. you *can* be tough and not be walking like a linebacker.

They could have at least given the woman the dignity of a pair of panties to go under that dress.

Hiya!

Actually FemShep isn't the only one with a manly gait. DA:O Wardens also walk like a man. I'm a little tired of watching my Warden swagger. ;)

Just caught up on fics .

@Jaer - read through all 5 chapters and was pretty much rivited to the page. Great storytelling!

@ Jilly - Ella made me giggle; loved the story, am never going to be able to hear the words "So what's the plan..." (which my husband says to me all the time) without giggling....

@ Leg - You actually made me like Thane as a romance option (although I'm glad Shep and Kaiden got back together at the end!)

Morning Ladies and Gents...

@Biotic:LoL... the whiptail would make more sense but I vote for the Water horse!

@Pac: Thanks for your comment on my Blog.Maybe I'm a fanatic but I knew exactly who you were talking about. "What? There's no fish?" always gets right to my heart, it's so cute.
And Char... who keeps telling his Asari gf (if you brought them back together) that Tuchanka was just an amazing place to be, lol.

If anyone else would like to give their thoughts, leave a comment as detailed as you want (either follow the link or go over my profile).

Finally working on your pic Kioux..think it's gonna turn into a "what could have happened" on Horizon. Sesh mentioned it could be the time between him getting out of the stasis and fighting his way to where Shepard and he meet. Not sure what story it's going to be yet.

First I have to take another zillion Kaidan in armor shots..oh the horror :P
