You are correct.  Avery wouldn't.  Neither would Meghan.

But Avery would talk them out of it, Meghan would kick their asses.

 morning all.

hmm.... really should wait until morning and coffee to post stuff to fanfic. i always see things i want to tweak in the morning. i really like playing with the idea that biotics can "sense" one another - sort of an energy hum. i got the idea from the fact that kaidan is the only person who senses the "low hum" coming from the relay monument on the citadel. made me think that perhaps his biotics give him some ability to read energy.

also, asari are all biotics and mind-melders, so i thought perhaps the ability to "sense" energy patterns might be a trait of biotics across species (but on a MUCH lesser scale).

however, i find myself occasionally taking off into paranormal-type stuff which is totally not my intent. so *whips out editing scissors*

re-posting chapter 9. it's still mushy-gushy in parts, but less woo-woo psychic. working on more. i swear i have more funny stuff coming later. right now it all feels very dramatic

i haven't decided yet. probably so. ME3 is a LOONG way off *sniff* and i need something to keep me busy until kaidan comes back. as you said yourself, horizons was just THAT bloody awful.



(actually, i respect the dev's take on horizons. just i didn't *like* it.)

My main problem with Horizon is Shepard's dialogue, I actually don't have a problem with Kaidan's reaction to Shepard in it.  Although I would have preferred Jilly's take on it where Shepard chases him down and talks it out and then they separate till after the suicide mission.

there are many spots in ME where you get railroaded into a decision (i'm gonna help cerberus? really?) and i feel like i had to wrap my mind around why shep would do that. part of why i started the fanfic, i guess.



but i was so horrified at the thought that kaidan wouldn't be back at all or he'd get killed by the end mission, i was kind of glad that he survived.



BUT with that said, i want kai kai back.



i think there should be a lot of make up smex in ME3. horizons deserves no less.

ooh, you were talking about me! Yeah! I hate the passive/stupid Horizon dialogue.



And yes, I like the /ideas/ behind the plot and the Horizon confrontation in ME2, but I don't think they were executed very well. BioWare did not successfully convince me that Cerberus really was the only option, or that my Shepard didn't have any other way to convince Kaidan to trust her. And couldn't reply to his email to patch things up. All that's just silly, so it makes the potential character arc, from infatuation to perceived betrayal to (hopefully) romantic conclusion obnoxious rather than grand in scope.

Ack... the continuing problem of reading fast first thing in the a.m. and having something stick in my brain although clearly not all of it and commenting later.   A good reason to stay in lurk mode I guess....    I caught up with Avery last night. Hope your muse comes back
