Let's face it, even though I know it's going to be bad, I'll wanna go see it just because it's Mass Effect.



You know what would make more sense? A Halo movie. First of all, faceless character. You can't pick the wrong person to play Master Chief. Second of all, five separate games and dozens of novels/comics have introduce MANY characters for which you can expand and create an ancillary story.



It's too soon for a ME movie. It'll kill it before the franchise even starts.

You know... I am prepared to be disappointed in this movie simply because chances are almost 100% it will feature a male Shep, but upon thinking, I think they could do worse than the people who brought us The Dark Knight and Spiderman.

2. Virmired, weak-looking Kaidan

3. Racist, loud Ash

4. Oversexed Liara

The people who brought us the dark knight, and Heath Ledger final performance I think they will do just fine actually. I do hope that Kaidan will not be down played like a comical relief type thing. I just hope that its not true. >.<

But goddamn, it would be nice if they didn't go for the obvious and NOT just remake the script of Mass Effect 1 for the movie. Have it be about Anderson and Saren, or the first contact war, or anything else. Just not DudeShep and his harem of sexy friends. =P

I HATE the idea of a Mass Effect movie. If they have to do it, either



a) Make it not about Shepard. I wouldn't mind seeing Anderson's and Saren's story.

Make Shepard not have a romance. Not only because people are going to get annoyed that Ashley, Lirara, Miranda, Tali, or Jack are not Shepard's romance interest, but because I dislike needless romances in Hollywood movies in general. Can't we have an action hero without a romance interest?

Sci-fi book nerds, represent!!!    Stephen King's love of Richard Matheson led me to him.  And I Am Legend is such a classic, cool story on it's own, it really didn't need to be corrupted for mass consumption. 

And yeah, don't get me started on I, Robot.  If you can't do it right, just don't do it at all.

Oh, and Teen, I LOVED the book I, Robot.  Each little individual story, a little mystery in everyone, all leading up the the final punch at the end.  AWESOME.  There's a reason Asimov is king.
