Let me fix:
"Mass Effect is a tremendous property ripe for exploitation and sure to line our pockets."
Let's face it, even though I know it's going to be bad, I'll wanna go see it just because it's Mass Effect.
You know what would make more sense? A Halo movie. First of all, faceless character. You can't pick the wrong person to play Master Chief. Second of all, five separate games and dozens of novels/comics have introduce MANY characters for which you can expand and create an ancillary story.
It's too soon for a ME movie. It'll kill it before the franchise even starts.

1. Male Shepard
2. Virmired, weak-looking Kaidan
3. Racist, loud Ash
4. Oversexed Liara

But goddamn, it would be nice if they didn't go for the obvious and NOT just remake the script of Mass Effect 1 for the movie. Have it be about Anderson and Saren, or the first contact war, or anything else. Just not DudeShep and his harem of sexy friends. =P

And yes despite what canon says, Revan was a woman who was a jedi sentinel and she loves Carth.

The devs touted that they didn't establish canon nor would they.

if they do make a mass effect movie, it better not be about Shepard. Because if it is about Shepard,it will take one person's interpretation about Shepard and make it 'canon', therefore making everyone elses choices as the wrong choice.

Revan was a brunette Jedi Guardian who loved Carth.

The impression I got from the interview is that it likely will be about Shepard.
Then I won't be spending my money on it.

I'm sorry Will Smith. I like you and all, but stay the heck away from my classic sci-fi. You also killed I, Robot.

I HATE the idea of a Mass Effect movie. If they have to do it, either
a) Make it not about Shepard. I wouldn't mind seeing Anderson's and Saren's story.Make Shepard not have a romance. Not only because people are going to get annoyed that Ashley, Lirara, Miranda, Tali, or Jack are not Shepard's romance interest, but because I dislike needless romances in Hollywood movies in general. Can't we have an action hero without a romance interest?

Sci-fi book nerds, represent!!!
And yeah, don't get me started on I, Robot. If you can't do it right, just don't do it at all.

Oh, and Teen, I LOVED the book I, Robot. Each little individual story, a little mystery in everyone, all leading up the the final punch at the end. AWESOME. There's a reason Asimov is king.
