as much as
Kaidan fighting in his undies would ahem interest me, it would be totally out of character for him, besides with the injuries he's gotten on his face in that pic, i think having injuries like that over his body because he fought without armour would be distressing. maybe i'm just thinking too much about it.

and Fort, as much as i wanted to quote your whole post, i wasn't sure if showing the pic 3 times would cause problems.

That's about all that registered in my brain.

Now I seem to have lost control of my salivary glands.

:unsure:oh dear, if that's all you registered of what i said, guess that means i'll have to choose my words more carefully to convey my point in the future. i probably should been doing that already.

hehe that's what happens when people are deep into the gutter. They can only register the smexy stuff. Nothing wrong with your post, Fort just got distracted by the image of Kaidan his undies no doubt ;)

yeah no doubt, but my point was that it would not be a good idea practically, no matter how much it is the stuff of dreams.

I'm not so certain. I think the Reapers are going to take one look at Kaidan in his heart shape boxers and go "Damn, this guy means business. We better pack up and leave."

If one had the foresight to save Kaidan in ME1, I suspect this is how the Reapers will be defeated in the next game.

Well ofcourse it isn't...I'm so glad ME isn't some Korean game or Shepard would be wearing a chainmail bikini lol
Though I wouldn't mind some shaped boots, hers look like clogs ;)

All sillyness aside, I do like Kaidan's armor. While the new ME2 armors are nice, part of me misses that worn metal look the old armors had, which still shows on Kaidan's armor on Horizon. The new armor is just so...perfect and shiny.

I would really hate that. I notice in some RPGs, two characters can wear the exact same armor, if they are male it covers everything, if they are female the armor for some reason magically leaves the stomach and/or other places vulnerable. That's when armor ceases to be armor and instead be metal bikinis, as you said. It's annoying because it's hard to take armor that looks like that seriously.

I think it's a good look on him.

Yeah never understood that. Same class, same armor, same weapons fighting eachother but if one of them is female, she's half naked while the male is covered from head to toe lol

I prefer being covered like in ME..can you imagine the start of ME2 with shepard getting spaced while wearing a chainmail bikini?

I wonder if they will upgrade Kaidan and Ash's armor for ME3 though. I mean the new crew have original outfits/'armor' and Shepard got some special gear as well.

Hey, everyone knows the less clothing a female protagonist wears the better armoured she is <_< Lol! I am not that excited about the new armours, only because some of the upgrades completely ruin Shepard's figure (how are we gonna woo Kaidan back in that? ) I guess on canon Shep they look fine.... <_< but on a female figure they take all the 'female', away. And lets be honest look at the other women on the Normandy *half dressed trollops* it's a good thing that Kaidan is not that shallow! ;)

The bikin armor is one of the reasons to dislike MMORPGs. I am very glad that Mass Effect didn't go their route. In Dragon Age there's a little of it but it's not that bad.

I like the idea of every squad mate having unique armor or unique armors. Kaidan's could be the one of Horizon along with a few other armor choices for him that have good color schemes.

I really like his helmet type in ME1 (you can also see it in at the start of ME2 too) and want to see that return for him (maybe even wearable by Shepard).
Posted Image

I also like the idea of having unique weapons for the squad mates. For Kaidan this could be a unique pistol. Considering Kaidan's collected personality I think something that has extra accuracy could work.

Btw: The picture I posted with the helmet is from this gallery (made by a Kaidan fan as well):

Kaidan in his undies? Speak of the handsome devil, because that's just was I was writing about.

AMAZING coincidence.

Night, Chapter 16 is dedicated to you, since you inspired it.

Ah! I can't wait for the next chapter. Really looking forward to it. And Jho, I think I like battleworn Kaidan... a lot actually.  New desktop time!

And a little off topic, but I know some of you are big KotOR fans and I just recently got into it like... 2 or 3 days ago. And I think I'm at the end, found all the star maps and crashed on the planet after travelng to the star forge... but I know Carth is a romance...right? And there hasn't really been any of that going on and I was wondering if I did or said something wrong...or if any kind of romantic dialogue just comes late in the game.

Don't know his exact words but Kaidan likes beautiful women who aren't stuck up about it right? No wonder he "loved" Shepard, most Shepard's are beautiful but her animations are very manly ..no way is she stuck up lol

Work is boring, there's a storm coming I think and I want to go home and work on Kaidan

Seeing that helmet made me very happy actually, despite the fact he's wearing Ash's armor. They at least made it a tad bit more in-character with the helmet. So they tried I guess.

@PopDisaster...yay for a new desktop :wizard:

If I read correctly, Liara also had the phoenix armor. I guess they designed the scene for Ashley first and then kind of...overlooked that it wouldn't really fit Kaidan or Liara.

What helmet did they give Liara?

i can just say, i am so glad that femsheps armour does actually cover her. as a former WOW player, i really hated the fact that my character could be wearing the exact same armour as a male and i would be wearing less. probably made it worse that my character was a gnome, not very flattering. but still it was annoying.

i think liara's helmet is the same as the one ash gets. i can't remember, i only have one male shep that romanced liara which i imported, played till freedoms progress and then abandoned.

If so, then the helmet would look like this, for reference:

So it's nice that they gave Kaidan a personal touch, at least.

I must say that I'm terribly jealous of the output some of the other writers manage to have. I'm still trying to work on my next chapter of my story.

@Pop: Carth will admit his feelings for you on the planet if you managed to romance him properly. But if you aren't careful during the earlier "romance" talk, you can accidentally turn off the romance.

ok, my curiousity got the better of me, i loaded up my male shep. liara's helmet is not the same as Ash's. you can't see Liara's eyes and it has a bit more in the way of black panels on it. i'm afraid i don't have frapps or anything to take piccies though :(

EDIT - found a you tube video of it, you can see the helmet at about 3.35 mins in

So they gave them all the same armor but added personal touches with the helmet. So I take it changing the armor as well was too expensive?

Thanks for posting that link Stephee :)

Okay question time, where is Kaidan stationed as Shepard goes the events of ME2? I mean after Horizon? Will he be at the Citadel? Will he have his own office? And if at the Citadel, where? What place does he return to after whatever missions he does? :)

Maybe he is somewhere in the shadows following Cerberus/Shepard <_< After all that is why he was on Horizon...

the only hint we get is that he has to report to the Citadel. theoretically that could mean he just beams a transmission in or he actually goes there. they left it very vague or maybe even unfinished.

while that might be flattering (or borderline stalking) it wouldn't be easy to do with the normandy's stealth systems.

FFS.... not my day. Laptop slid off chair... so I put my foot under it to soften the impact... worked for the laptop - not my big toe. Now it's swollen and bleeding... lovely.... *sighs*

I see Kaidan with a diplomatic ability - so it would make sense to station him where it is needed - on the Citadel and or on planets that are not best buddies with the Alliance (like Horizon). In my mind and ff I put him on the Citadel - in reach of Anderson and the Council.

@Jho: Kaidan will have to suffer eventually in my fic...all my characters tend to suffer... I just don't know how yet.
*returns to the comforting embrace of oblivion*
