@Fort...I never renegaded Kaidan...I was too afraid I'd do it wrong and he'd stop talking to me, lol. I accidentally hit a wrong response once and he went from answering 'I'd like that' to 'Commander' and I didn't know what I'd done.

Angry Kaidan is hawt.

He is. Very much so. I don't understand why more people don't enjoy the angry Kaidan. And the conversation where you renegade him is all about how stupid the council is, IIRC, and who can seriously argue w/that? (Especially after seeing what they do in ME2?) I really need to play that conversation again, it's been awhile.

not completely sure, it has something to do with Charm/intimidate, i think you get the chance after he talks about what happened with vyrnnus if you take the renegade option. not completely sure though, never tried it.

What you do is disagree with him about aliens until you get to a charm/intimidate option. Charm or intimidate, and you've got it.

@Jaer:  Yes, Sbarge as renegade Kaidan is awesome.  You just have to have your charm or intimidate around 5 or 6, I think?  And when he brings up the Council being morons, but people is people, so to speak, you persuade him into agreeing the Council sucks.  There's a youtube of it actually... here I think.

eta:  And for the Liara conversation, you just tell them both they're special, rather than telling Liara that Kaidan is special.

To force the confrontation you have to keep both romances alive.  I usually do this by flirting with both continuously and using the neutral/middle response whenever either Kaidan or Liara asks about the other.  I avoid the "Kaidan is special" "Liara is special" responses like the plague.  And I admit that I usually talk with Liara first and then Kaidan to make sure I haven't accidentally switched of the Kaidan romance. However what normally happens is that both show up in the conference room after the 3rd mission (or is it after Virmire? can't remember).  Then as long as you choose your partner up front and don't try to have much of a conversation (or suggest a 3some) you're fine.

I hope it keeps the trolls down as well...although I will say I have never been on a thread that handles them better than this one does.

Re:  renegading Kaidan:  I never knew it was possible until I saw TehprincessJ's youtube video about how to do it.  I'm still a little afraid of choosing the wrong renegade option and ending the romance. 

Incidentally, has anyone noticed how many talented and awesome Kaidan fans there are out there, other than just the artists and authors who post regularly here?  There's TehprincessJ, Isaantia, and Strike, who have interesting and cool youtube videos, Annakie who runs masseffectsaves.com, and crimsonrhodelia, who plays a character on twitter whom I love watching.  Obviously there is a correlation between being cool and being a Kaidan fan...

That's easy.  Just don't tell Liara you want to be friends.  Lead the poor girl on.

I'm testing, because I've tried to post here three times and it refuses to show up. In short, when I finally got Kaidan renegaded Udina and Anderson ended up being bigger alien-phobes than Ashley. I hated everyone else and had to start a new game immediately.

Oh, sure, now it works.
