random thought: doing espionage probe side quest and realizing how freakishly easy it is to disarm bombs in ME1. take this quest - or eden prime. *this* is my reasoning for going back to save whoever is with the bomb on virmire. when someone tells me "this bomb is going off no matter what" i don't believe them. and since kaidan the tech expert goes with the bomb....

Yeah. That and the geth of all things should be able to disarm a bomb easily.

The "mini-games" in both ME installments have always been pathetically easy.

Okay I too was sorta worried when I didn't see our thread in the usual spot, until I read the big sticky at the top. Guess they didn't really know what to do with the character threads since some were locked, others got warnings, we didn't get anything lol, Ash could restart, Tali couldn't. So now we're all moved to a different spot and anything goes again?
Right.

Anyway, I LOVE that resume shot...that's a nice one to keep in case we go off-topic or get derailed or whatever ^_^

Okay caught up again. During that whole biotics discussion I got yet another flash for a new image...how about medic Kaidan? Just how many of us turned Kaidan into more of a field medic in ME1? :)

Unfortunately, Mass Effect is now more of a much shooter than an rpg, so Kaidan will be administering shots more often tha role playing :crying:

Sadly so. But still...I think my muse loves medic Kaidan.

Okay whenever I have to type loves, I type loved at first and end up changing it...this happens way too often. I blame Kaidan's dialogue on Horizon ;)

good evening all, hope alls well.

jho-i have to admit when he says loved on Horizon, it does hurt. I cried after the first time i did Horizon, is that sappy to admit that.

can anyone answer, Is there much difference between what kaidan says on Horizon to a romanced shep and a friend shep? i'm just wondering because i can't seem to stop myself from romancing kaidan, and i can't stand the voice on the male shep to get that far into the game.

I think the only things that are cut out/changed depending on if you romance him or not is the love bit and that he doesn't hug Shepard. Not sure though, haven't gotten that far with my friend's playthrough yet.

Think he shakes your hand instead of hugging you, yeah.

Here you go, a non-romanced Kaidan meeting:

I've noticed that the result or feel of the meeting can vary a noticeable amount depending on the choices you go through. On my first playthrough, I was a little upset, but on my second, the meeting felt more professional and understandable. Not sure if anyone else had similar experience.

I still wish there had been some sort of paragon/renegade interrupt during that speech of his. At least for the romance angle.

ok thanks for the replies and thanks for the vid teen. from what i can gather from the vid, kaidan doesn't take it as personally as he would with a romanced or he doesn't admit to it being personal. the smile he gave when he offered his hand was cute.

It's really dependent on the choices you make in your dialogue. Alot of his lines that he said were similar to the romance active dialogue (if not identical) depending on the line chosen for Shepard to say. I believe he states something about feeling like he lost a limb when you died if you are not taking the more "renegade" options.

Morning :)

Youtube up Maleshep and Kaidan on Horizon, you still get the same romantic music which it a bit creepy since Kaidan isn't a romance option for maleshep.

Their bromance is too strong to be denied, Shenzi. Posted Image

Kaidan bromance for ME3.

So far as the music goes...I never really saw it that way.

Morning Sapphy, how goes confused Shepard?

Both you and Sia are driving me nuts with the cliffhangers. Posted Image

And then I got an author alert last night from Impsy and thought we were finally going to get the sequel to Demigod but it was just a DA story. Posted Image

I've been in a foul mood the last few days due to RL so I haven't been able to write any fluff and the current chapter I'm working on is a serious amount of Shenko fluff. (me writing fluff what a surprise.) Posted Image

The music during the Kaidan/Ashley scene on Horizon is a remix of the Vigil theme from ME1:

I think it's cool that they used that for the scene. It sounds more sad to me than romantic, though.

So anyway, it's Thursday so we should be getting an Exitus update today.

Have to take a look at this picture at least once a day.

Hubby hasn't said anything about my "We are N7 desktop", maybe it's time to try out the trio and see what sort of reaction I get.

It does indeed vary and I think so does the email. On my first go-through I kept going for the Paragon options automatically (dumb I know, guess I was tired) and Shep kept saying stuff like "I didn't want to open old wounds" which led the conversation to the direction where it seemed like they said goodbye...for good. Also I think the email was a lot more negative as well.

On a latter go through I told him I couldn't contact him cos I was practically dead and then the "fight" seemed to be only about Cerberus anymore and the meeting fealt a lot more reassuring. His email seemed to be a lot more positive as well, him being worried about me and telling me to look out for Cerberus.

Could be that I remember wrong though, it's been a while.

Hmm carth......
Best of luck shenzi. you're braver than i am, and i have my own computer that i don't have to share.
How do you think Kaidan would react to seeing his piccy in shep's cabin? i think this has been discussed before but i thought i'd ask. Also, anyone think that Kaidan would have a copy of the Shepard VI?
