My PC is setup with two monitors, one of them widescreen so whatever wall paper I have up leaves quite the impression. We each have our own PCs but he keeps things like pictures of our dogs as his background.

I wish there was a way to have a different background on each monitor, that way it wouldn't be a complete shirtless overload.

@ Star I don't know when it was, like I said I didn't even realize it was an option, I did notice if you talk to Kaidan first he asks about Liara, If you turn her down first, He doesn't - what I want to know is how does he know.... has he planted a bug on Shepard?

I've noticed that the result or feel of the meeting can vary a noticeable amount depending on the choices you go through. On my first playthrough, I was a little upset, but on my second, the meeting felt more professional and understandable. Not sure if anyone else had similar experience.

My first playthrough I was thinking that Shepard was thinking finally here he is, god he smells good  you know things like that   then she is shocked and all "why is he yelling at me"  and she gets angry (hense Arugument).  but now when I play I feel that she's thinking how would I feel if he was the one with Cerberus after all we found.  He needs time to process this. I think she realizes that Kaidan is not listening to her right now and that's why she still asks him to join.  (Okay well most of my Shepards, Zin is still an emotional wreck)

It does indeed vary and I think so does the email. On my first go-through I kept going for the Paragon options automatically (dumb I know, guess I was tired) and Shep kept saying stuff like "I didn't want to open old wounds" which led the conversation to the direction where it seemed like they said goodbye...for good. Also I think the email was a lot more negative as well.

On a latter go through I told him I couldn't contact him cos I was practically dead and then the "fight" seemed to be only about Cerberus anymore and the meeting fealt a lot more reassuring. His email seemed to be a lot more positive as well, him being worried about me and telling me to look out for Cerberus.

Could be that I remember wrong though, it's been a while.

Does Shepard still get an email if there is no romance, I never saw a copy of that.

It's really dependent on the choices you make in your dialogue. Alot of his lines that he said were similar to the romance active dialogue (if not identical) depending on the line chosen for Shepard to say. I believe he states something about feeling like he lost a limb when you died if you are not taking the more "renegade" options.

It was kind of creepy that it's almost the same words.  So we have the night before Ilos and don't even get better dialog.  Oh man we were scr... urh... let down.

Hi Night  

There's no email after Horizon if you aren't in a relationship with Kaidan, I played one game without a pre-existing romance with the intention of trying out a ME2 romance, but I still couldn't bring myself to romance any of the ME2 choices.

Back at my attempts at writing fluff, finally got some good news about my friend in the hospital this morning.

Ugh Horizon.... I like the version in Shenzi's fic much much better! I'm in the midst of a playthrough with my infiltrator Aoife (as in ME1 through 2) and just got onto Horizon. Not happy atm.



OTOH, I did the Kasumi dlc early on in this game and picked up the Locust SMG and am loving it. It's very accurate and good a hitting targets from further away. Aoife is picking off enemies easily; kinda like shooting fish in a barrel. The one thing I'm looking forward to about Horizon is to see how the weapon works on Collectors.

You know, I wonder that everybody seems to instantly put so much emphasis on the loved part. I never took it as a "Kaidan doesn't feel that way about Shepard anymore"... to me it was slightly less than glaringly obvious that Kaidan still loves her, he was just blindsided that the rumors were true and lashed out because he was/is in such emotional pain. I took the "loved" as a reflection that Kaidan assumed when Shepard died that it was over, that he would never see her again. More of a "I loved you... and then you died on me."

I agree with Joisan and Collider, but if I was in the middle of a fight and my lover/SO/spouse/whatever said "I loved you" I'd probably take it about as well as a punch to the gut. Once I calmed down again and realized what they probably meant, it would be a different story, but mid-fight? It'd be all bad.

Ok, while that's an awesome mental image, Daewan, I've always thought Kaidan would have serious issues with Miranda. Her entire mindset is that the ends always justify the means, and I can't imagine, even if you weaned her from Cerberus, that she'd be able to get rid of that 'human's first' mindset overnight. She'd be willing to cut every corner Kaidan thinks is important.

Plus, you know, the whole 'wearing a catsuit into battle' thing is just too unprofessional.

I am really glad about the good news Shenzi.

yeah I thought there wasn't a letter, If he wasn't in a relationship, why appoligize now.  With the relationship the appology makes sense

You know I like the way you see it Jo, it makes it much easier on the heart I think.  (along with the others that see it this way) 

I think my first reaction was "Love and I didn't even get to enjoy it" but that was Zin and she is emotional.

I agree Shepard's side was fairly lame.  I'm thinking that as much as I was not planning to write my own version of Horizon, I just may have to because Jilly's post gave me some good ideas.

Oh, she's totally drunk on Ryncol at the moment.  He's humoring the drunk crazy woman.  The only thing he has in common with Miranda is that they're both biotics obsessed with Shepard.

I'm so bored at work.... trying to decide between overkill and/or ease of use.
