Your Shepard didn't let him finish to say "...and I always will".

:innocent:

My first Shepard, the Paragon, stayed faithful because she understood.

Now my renegade Shepard took "loved" for its face value. The past of love. :( Maybe she'll come around.

On a fanfic note:

Anyone notice how tough it is to write a character that you didn't particularly like, especially when you're trying to be impartial?

@ Doveberry- I haven't seen you around here. It's awesome to see new faces. :wizard:

I present you with a puppy-eyed, lip biting Kaidan.

It's tough to write a character that's VERY different from you, like say... Legion.

This also. It's tough to get into their heads and see what they're thinking sometimes.

My advice about the character you hate, find ONE thing you like and focus on that.  It makes it a bit easier.  And then reward yourself with Kaidan.

This is so true, I find it very hard to write any lines for Udina - unless I am thinking of him in drag that is Posted Image

My hopes for FemShep at the beginning of ME3 is to find her semi retired and living in sin(!) with her man Alenko on Earth. Obviously the Galaxy comes knocking on her front door and demands she leaves bliss behind and strap on her trusty armour and pistol one last time...but will she be coming back?

Although I would like to see a Kaiden + Shepherd reunion. It would be fun for Shepherd to rock up to the Citadel and get chatting to an attractive young Doctor called Elizabeth (or somesuch) who turns out to be Kaidens girlfriend...dum dum DUM! Shepherd shoves off and heads to Flux for some downage of certain alcoholic beverages - the ones that leave her dancing like the sexy mama she is and likely (later on) throwing up in the restroom. Kaiden hears she is on the Citadel after speaking to Elizabeth and comes looking for her....a struggle on the dancefloor and three punches thrown, two connecting later, Kaiden drags our gal off for a stern talk after which he melts like a lump of sugar in bitter coffee and realises he can't stay with his adorable (but boooring Doctor lady). I mean, what can you do when true love comes a-knocking??

on another note its a real shame the gamemakers didnt give us Kaiden lovers just one other cut scene or letter or SOMETHING Kaiden related in ME2...I was hanging on the hope that after defeating the Collectors, Shepherd could race off to the Citadel for a clandestine reunion with her guy. No such luck! (I just completed ME2 about an hour ago-hence discovering this forum)

What would you have liked to have seen in ME2 (Kaiden romance related)? A holographic chat with Kaiden before the mission started would have been great!

I would have liked to have had an option to reply to the email or to make a call before the final mission. ME2 is just so Kaidanless that it doesn't feel like Mass Effect to me :(

A reply button on the email. Seriously.

Edit: Is it just me or is the layout behaving weirdly today?

Yeah, the forum I mean. I basically just get the grey background, no banners or such.

What the hell is up with the quote buttons? I'm not allowed to cite a source anymore? And I've had to log back in like five times. Was I banned and not noticed? Wonder what I did...

@Fort...I have a tendency if I don't like the character to make them very stereotypical and 2 dimensional. Then I get called on it and actually have to think 'okay, based on what you know of this person, how would they act in this situation?' I don't have to like them to know how they're going to act, if that makes sense.

Although, I will be honest. Jacob is rarely in any of my fics because I can't stand him as a character and I can't 'improve' him without making OOC. Zaeed is actually easier to write because I never had any desire to like him and can accept him for the jerk that he is. Jacob is such a contradiction in his actions vs his attitude, he's difficult to pin him down as anything other than a hypocrite.

@Night...Udina was fun to write in Drag. If it hadn't messed with the flow of the story, there'd have been a can-can line of strippers.

What the ****ing hell is going on? Why the **** can I not post a ****ing thing on this forum? It's really starting to ****** me off and I don't need this.

EDIT: Oh, sure. Use the magic swear words and now you work. Bastard.

@ Dara, well I have the sigs and such, but I just lost the ability to quote.  Something weird is going on with the boards, maybe the geth are invading.  I have just the thing....

/uploads_user/12000/11885/28290.jpg

He can fix it.

Oh yeah!

Maybe the forums are undergoing maintenance?

Yeah, when I get to the ME2 part of Faith Shepard's story after Parallax, I won't know what to do with some of those characters. Though I adore Kasumi, I think I'll leave her out until later in the story because I want it to be dark and lonely. I've got some ideas for Zaeed and Jacob eventually, but I have no clue what to do with Tali. :(

@ Night, Kaidan can fix everything. (See, even my mood have improved in the last 10 minutes.)

And I'm so tempted to say that Harbringer is assuming direct control of the boards, thus the hiccups and weird malfunctions.
