Phew, caught up now! Proper good morning everyone now I have returned from the past.......few pages!

I wonder if they choose to put Kaidan in casuals on the Normandy are romancers of one outfit team mates gonna be miffed? I know I would be cross if he wears armour on board. But it will create a weird situation where some squad members always look the same and others will have a couple of looks. Either they have made themselves a quandary or we over think things....

Jen - i'd say with ME3 outfits it will be either all or nothing, so finger's crossed for a casual outfit and a battle outfit for every squaddie. i want to see miranda in proper armour without stilettos.

Stephee, that is what I would hope for, those daft outfits annoy me, one of the things I liked in ME was the lack of 'sexy', (Kaidan's mere presence excepted of course) on the battlefield! It was a bit disappointing to see BioWare seemingly give in to teenage shooter fans. BioWare's audience has always been a more mature minded bunch and that is who BioWare should be aiming their marketing at!

The mature minded bunch will buy the Bioware games anyway, so they are aiming for those who don't like the real RPGs...hence the dumbing down no doubt. From what I read on a gaming site a few days ago, the BW games are EA's best selling games alongside a few others I think. It's all commercial interest now and I'm starting to 'feel' it too.

Anyway, I'm hoping they will give Kaidan the same stuff they did in ME1...armor and an onboard outfit, just like Shepard. Haven't seen people complain about Garrus having two outfits either. Heck if you want to go there, you could ask yourself why we get to see Miranda's bra and Jacob's bare chest but Thane remains fully clothed and Jack doesn't change anything in her outfit either..though she's half naked already

But it could be fun to think about what outfit they could give Kaidan that would work for both the ship as combat. But seeing as he'll most likely still be an Alliance man, I am going to assume he won't walk around looking like a pirate or something

Yes I miss the non linear assignments of ME there was choices. The competely straight line no choice your finished now assignments of ME2 I find boring.

Caught up with Sia's story...great as always. So...giving Kaidan his own ship eh? While loving it in Sia's storyline, I hope they don't go down that road in ME3 because that means no squadmate status...and darnit I want him at my Shep's side 24/7

Well what more is there? The romance will continue if you remained faithful and if he's a squadmate he'll be right there at your side. *melts*

Welcome back from lurker isle! Good to see you as well Lianna, and a towel for casual wear? No problem with that. Ofcourse I'll toss Kelly out of the airlock first, just to make sure she doesn't jump Kaidan

@ Jen - I'm beginning to doubt whether Bioware has any real value for their loyal and more mature fans.  They seem to be getting caught up their own hype; TV interviews, movies etc.  They used to make a concerted effort to generally stay away from stereotypes, sexism etc. but I suspect the $$ (and EA) make that seem less important. (Really , I'm not angry, I just notice trends.) And cleavage, tight clothes and lots of shooting are much more interesting to younger fans.  So I continue to wonder about ME 3 and how much "story" will really be delivered. I have no real doubt that they will reunite Kaidan and Shep because they've been pretty clear they're going to make wrap up the LI stories in a big way. I just doubt that their version of what constitutes "story" and mine are as closely aligned anymore.

As to clothes, I liked ME1 where generally folks had armor and casual wear. I'd like to see more casual wear differences although no little black dresses for Shep please!  It was nice at the party but not as on-board on-duty wear!  And shoes.....I'd really like to see some variation in shoes beyond having shoes with toes for folks like Tali and Garraus and those clunky boots that Shep wears no matter what!   And it would be very cool to see all the teammates have a different style when they're on their own time.  I'd really like to be able to put Miranda in something much more sacklike as part of her casual wear for example!

Of course there's tight and then there's so tight that the seams are body-part defining.... like certain female XOs *cough* *cough*

Mass Effect 3 needs more casual appearances for each squadmate (unless everyone on the Normandy except Shepard only wears the same pair of shirt and pants).

And I don't mean whatever that thing Kelly wears...

At least Kaidan is smart enough exchange his sexy outfit for real armor before he goes into battle.

Im curious about one thing..Do You belive, that Kaidan will be ME3 companion? He is commander like Shepard, so I don't belive he will serve under Shepard again. I imagine, that he will be ratcher supportive NPC like Anderson was in ME1. What do You think about this?

I imagine he'd be Shepard's Alliance Liason.

i have wondered this also - if there will really be "squadmates" that you can pick from a list or if it will be more like a series of kasumi-dlcs where if you still have that crew member you can do a mission with them. just because any and all of your squadmate (save liara) may be dead by now. to me that suggests perhaps a different tack.

I thought Shepard still outranks Kaidan as a former/current Spectre?

If anything, that would mean Shepard would become the supportive NPC, and you'd play as Kaidan to do Alliance missions.

Yeah, I don't see Shepard taking a back seat at all (Morning, Sia, Shenzi, Sage) Either it will be her as the Spector or she will be promoted over him. I think the Spectre her ship thing is most likely provided they let Kaidan join her.

On outfits:
I think there's a difference between something tastefully tight like the Alliance casuals and something that's just tight to be tight, like Miranda's outfit. IMO, Miranda and Samara both need some different armor/casuals. I mean, the armor in ME1 for the ladies was figure flattering but it wasn't in-your-face sexy. Miranda talks about how her father engineered her body to be perfect and stuff and acts like she wants to be treated seriously, but she's in an eensie suit with her ****** hanging out all over the place. And Samara's outfit is undignified for an esteemed individual, though I guess the asari wouldn't care too much about showing skin,

There's a difference with Jack, though. I don't think her strap-top is meant to be sexy as much as it is an artistic statement. I still want her in actual armor for the battlefield.

As far as Kaidan's status in ME3 is concerned:
He better be a squadmate after that crap we had to deal with in ME2. That's about all I can say this soon after waking up without getting on the negativity train.
