 Hello fellow Shenko supporters :)

I've been stalking this forum for a while, admiring the fan art, fan-fics, and the entertaining discussions, and have just discovered how to post here. *facepalm* I hope you have room for one more in the K-love boat!

As for the most recent discussions...

The majority seems to like the idea of casual wear as opposed to armor on board and off-duty on the Normandy. I agree, especially with the ladies who propose no clothes at all! :innocent:

My sincerest hopes are that the restricted LI's from ME1 are not barred in ME3 as well. It is my strongest desire to see the purposely omitted characters of ME2 (Kaidan/Ashley, Liara) return as squad members in 3; I will be highly, devastatingly disappointed if BioWare refuses us our beloved Kaidan again!

Whether they include them in a set list of recruits or have a completely open roster for you to choose from, it is imperative that Kaidan be included!

Ah welcome to the thread, it's always nice to see new faces in here. And yes I share your hope. Luckily we have the confirmation that Kaidan will return we just don't know how yet.
Just like they said the romance would continue in ME2 and look at what happened. It continued, but in the bare minimum of the word lol

Twill be a while yet before we know more and hopefully Bioware will give us something to go on while we wait. Which I doubt since they go their own way and I didn't get the impression they are fond of character threads or think too highly of them but still, I still believe it's important to support one of the less loved characters. It has no impact what so ever, but Kaidan always takes so much crap ...it's nice to counter that at least :)

good evening all

sage - thanks for the new chapters, i'm loving the story, i wish i could write well.

i remember someone saying that Kaidan says aya aya ma'am like westley says as you wish. so of course i'm now watching the princess bride and imagining kaidan in it.

any way.

Mornin', all. I'm now picturing Kaidan as the Dread Pirate Roberts. Yum!  If only he showed up that way on Horizon.

Another load of snark has been added to The Double, by the way, via Chapter 12.

Morning ladies!

I'm having a lazy holiday weekend for once. Looking forward to playing more ME (Kaidan time!).

So I saw Prince of Persia last night - very well done btw. The romance built up rather slowly and delightfully, kinda like the ME1 romances. It was so well done and found myself really enjoying it far more than most. It also made me think about ME3 and what people want. So here's my question:

In regards to ME3 and Kaidan, what do you think is the most satisfying way for the romance to proceed? Would you prefer fast action (hey baby-I'm so sorry-how fast can I get your clothes off) or a slower pace like in ME1 (I still care but I'm cautious--I'm do care and I want to make things work-I'm sorry about Horizon-let's make up and out action)? Other?

Personally I think I'd prefer the slower pace. I like being courted, no doubt about it and I think partly, I fear if there's a big love scene at the beginning, it's about all we'll get in the romance department; that somehow the romance will be "done" from the ME writers/producers pov.

I'd prefer the slower pace, myself. The courting part is good, plus it just suits Avery better.

I think it suits Tris and Aoife (my two Sheps) better as well.  They enjoy anticipation....Posted Image

Speaking of Avery, PoV is a lot of fun to read. I really enjoy your he said/she said approach!  And I appreciate Kaidan's ship name since I have a personal connection with the name "Concord" and no, not the grape.

I had a heck of a time trying to decide which battle to name the Concord after.   The Alamo woulda just been a bad sign. :)  Though I suppose I could have gone with San Jacinto. ;)

I'm glad you're liking aPoV.

Good Morning Everyone

Happy Memorial Day... well at least for you we had two shootings and a riot last night.

I wrote a chapter for a new story and am working on chapter 23... lots of Kaidan in both.

Have fun!!

*grins*  Glad you decided against the Alamo! That would have been a little to scary.   Living in an area that used to be a big naval port (multiple bases) I have to admit one of my favorite ship names is Enterprise.

Good morning Night! (I love saying that, lol!)

Sounds like you're pretty busy between work and fics.

I'd prefer the slower paced relationship as well for ME3, would fit better with the storyline as well rather than if they just jumped right back into bed.

I'm always curious since a lot of discussions seem to be around a reunion that's much more fast paced.

Yeah I know, my Horizon fic didn't waste anytime in that regard but it was only supposed to be 3 chapters long before it suffered from one of the worst cases of scope creap ever.

*giggles*  Fics have a way of doing that (expanding).  Best laid plans and all that (no pun intended!)

Hiya Leg. We're talking about a question I posed up above. Namely, in regards to ME3 and Kaidan, what do you think is the most satisfying way for the romance to proceed? I'd prefer neither fast or slow in the buildup.

Do I want them to hop in bed immediately? No.

But at the same time, I don't want things to happen right before the end of the game again. So, something not too fast and not too slow would be nice.

I hope this post makes sense. I just woke up XD

Sorry, I forgot the sarcasn smilie.  Fixed!  I was referring to the scope creep comment and the fact that my last fic was intended to be maybe a dozen chapters and ended up twice that.

While in fics I'm all for the "jump into bed and talk it out later" but in-game I'd rather they took it slow.  That would be a lot more realistic for Kiadan and his having been alone literally for years, if not so much for Shep.
