I refuse to entertain the notion that Kaidan will be back in ME3 in any capacity other than as a squad member.

Here's to hoping they will confirm that soon.

I would also be fine with ME3 having the option of your Shep and your LI locking themselves in a private room to "work out issues" while the galaxy saves itself for once.

I can think of lots of "issues" for Shep and Kaidan to work on. Posted Image

Think the shooter crowd might rage a bit though ;)

Wonder which would be more frightening...a raging shooter crowd or a pack of rabid fangirls out for blood?

I'd say fangirls, but they could distract us with Sbarge and his voice if they wanted.

True true.

Heh, just walked down to engineering with my Shep and Ken and Gabby were talking about Miranda and her suit. Ken said something about how official it looked and how it always made him stand at attention rofl...Gabby : You're such a dog.

Now see, that's why we need party banter in ME3. So we can get that sort of stuff elsewhere too.

Morning :)

I really want party banter ala DAO in ME3 as well.  It's one of my favorite things about DAO, i'd replay the game with different companions just to hear it all.

Hello Shenzi,

I agree, the party banter in DAO was  hilarious. And I did the same thing as you did and replayed the game with different companions :P

About the whole Kaidan not being a squadmember and appearing as the go see guy for Alliance support. That's
my greatest fear for ME3, but then again is Kaidan really that important within the Alliance? And what if you cheated, would that mean you won't get Alliance support? lol...
"We know the end is nigh but Commander Alenko informed us of your situation and we cannot support
someone who cannot stay faithful. Thus the Alliance will twiddle their thumbs while you save the galaxy. Which should be a familiar situation for you anyway."

[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

Wait.
That's almost plausible enough to not be funny.  [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/angry.png[/smilie]  Except for the Alenko telling the brass he'd has a personal affair with his CO.  So we should be safe. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wink.png[/smilie]

I'd pre-order ME3 now if they'd promise me that.  Two copies, even, just to make the point.  :P  Actual, proper, squad interaction... :D  (Assuming Kaidan's one of them, of course.)

They need to expand the party size to 4 in ME3.

In DAO I always dragged Alistair around with me and then the other 2 slots were whomever I was rotating in to listen to. I think the Wynne / Zev combo was one of my favorites, that and anything with Oghren.

I saw that nobody did it earlier, so I've recorded few (5) lines between Ash and Kaidan in elevators. Not all of them, because few of them change at storyline progression, but I'm gonna update this vid someday. Freshly uploaded, so it looks more crappy than it already is, but cant help it, I lack of video editing skills.

So here I am, watching some old Grey's Anatomy and I see Raphael Sbarge's name at the start of a new episode so I grin and keep watching. Now....mr.Sbarge is heard first (and totally sounding like Kaidan, really...Kaidan...lol) before the camera moves to him and I started laughing so hard. Because his first line is : "I guess I'm just not very sexual."
So I hit pause and keep giggling...but when I continue, his character has a conversation with his wife and one of the next lines is "Honey I love you, I love you so much." And the giggling ended and melting ensued...this is terrible rofl

edit : okay his follow up line is "I want to do it." ....I um...will be over there *points at gutter* That voice....

Morning, y'all.

Kaidan's being stubborn in Paragon. Mostly cause I won't let him near Avery, yet.

Aw, poor Kaidan. I'm making him spend some time away from Ella too. And I think I finally finished the rough draft of the next chapter of Lost for Words. Thank all assorted gods and goddesses. It's twice as long as usual, though, so I'm not sure why I'm surprised it took longer to write... *snorts*

Good Morning all Night has finally risen.

I am all for banter in ME3 and if they are still going to be cheerleaders that works for me too (Yeah! Head shot!!) I also want a lot more Joker lines I love the comic relief. But all this is a mote point if Kaidan is not a Squad member, because without Kaidan in ME3... Who would want to play?

I know we've probably discussed this ad nauseum... but what do you think Kaidan's reaction would be to finding out what Liara did?

Yes, this is self-serving since Illium is the next stop in aPoV.

Hee! I like discussing it more. Kaidan in Lost for Words was disconcertingly ok with it. I was all set for some melodrama, because I thought he'd be furious, but it didn't happen. He's upset, obviously, but sympathized with all the uncertainties Liara was dealing with, and understood why she'd be selfish enough to want a bit of Shepard for herself, so since he got Ella back anyways, he's letting it go.

(LfW Kaidan and Ella keep smacking me down when I attempt to make things angsty for them. They apparently had more than enough of that in the actual plot, and are determined to be happy this time, for as long as possible. *snorts*)

However, all that 'reasonableness' would go out the window if you've got a couple that aren't reconciled yet. I mean, she lied, she gave Cerberus the upper hand, and she didn't tell anyone how dangerous the Collectors and the Shadow Broker are. There would be no excuse for any of that. I think it's one of the few instances where Kaidan could legitimately lose his temper and threaten violence and mean it.

That would be awful.  I'm hoping they're tied into the plot a la Alistair and Morrigan in DAO, but still available to wander around with you in your squad.

but no demon babies. if kaidan has to either die or have sex with an asari, shep is going to go find a REALLY big boot.

If something like that happens then this is going to happen...

We'll take out the bioware offices with a timed radiation pulse and re-write the story with all the Bioware resources.

Lol, that is a great pic. And welcome to the Kaidan thread. We do have a few guys who pop in regularly, I think your initial hello got lost in the swooning we often do (I noticed it because I am doing my daily catch up, I'm sure they wait til I've gone to bed sometimes ;)) You will develop an immunity to shirtless Kaidan, especially if you have visited the Tali thread, lol!

I've used enough....

Morning Nick, welcome back.

Yeah I was thinking that when he found out it would depend how much he cut himself off from the rest of the team... It seems to me that he cut himself off a lot from everyone else, so how angry he got would depend on how close he stayed with Liara. She had to go after Shepards body pretty quickly so, I think they seperated pretty fast. IMHO

As a manshep who has Liara as an LI... she and I are going to have a quiet discussion over dinner in the captain's quarters in ME3.  Liara saved me after all... she did the job of someone who was in love.  All she had to do was ask and I would have taken out the Shadow Broker in like 5 seconds.  Trust me... Nixeris would have lasted a whole 5 minutes of my interogation (with Mordin present).... because "I'm Commander Shepard and I'm the biggest badass in the galaxy" (and a paragon).

After that then Kaiden, Liara and myself will go and destroy the reaper threat once and for all (without the need for one of us dying or demon babies).

I hope I'm wrong, but... yeah.  Just a feeling.

Just curious as to your info source ?  Just asking.  I like data. Posted Image

No source.  Personal prediction.  My logic is... uh... huh.  It would be a dramatic thing to do; it wouldn't need much resources towards who you saved on Virmire to pull off; in ME2 Kaidan/Ash seems to have taken your place as the Alliance Hero; you could still weave a minor romantic subplot, before and/or after; if all the foreshadowing of gathering an army of armies is going to follow through, you need someone at the forefront of the Alliance fleet, and Hackett, much as I love him, doesn't have the same impact as Kaidan/Ash would.

As I said, I hope I'm wrong.  In ME2, I missed the utter chaos that occurred every time I took a Kaidan-With-Full-Biotic-Stats into a fight and let him do his thing... even if, in ME2, his skills would have been badly truncated.  Hrrm.

Thanks FireEye...just had to check.  I think we're all a bit suspicious of what BW will do with our favorite characters given their almost Obsidian-like logic lately (i.e., the best plot involves lots of angsty choices and no real happy ending).  Still, I doubt that Bioware is going to overshadow the primary hero (Shepard). I think in your scenario, it's more likely that the Alliance would be in trouble and Shepard will be the one dashing in for the rescue just like s/he did with the Council in ME1.  Yes, it would heighten the drama if Kaidan/Ash were part of the group being rescued however, I can also see it as likely that they would be part of her team.  Casey Hudson has commented at least once that ME3 will be more like the final Indiana Jones in regards to wrapping up plot lines etc and if you recall, Marion did come back and work with Indy in that one.  So I have my fingers crossedPosted Image

Argh! The final Indie move was horrible! (Except for Marion.) Evil mental comparison there. Hudson's a moron sometimes.

@Nick I agree, Liara has some apologizing to do to the rest of the team, even in versions where she didn't romance Shep. I mean, really, she couldn't warn anyone? At all? Even a hint? (Or let Shepard help her clean up the mess once they talked on Illium? Really?)

And yes, she should be back for the final battle, and there will be no demon babies, or freaky ME/Reaper equivlants. *nods*

I think this is how ME3 should be... but in my game it will be Sheploo instead of Femshep.

Hello everybody,
I think he will be very distraught and it will take a little bit for him to get over it.  But when he gets some time and thinks about it, then I guess he will realize, that this was the only way to save Shepard. Just to imagine, what could have happend, if the shadow broker would have hand Shepard´s body to the Collectors (a real creepy thought)...  So, if he thinks about that, it should help him to understand.

Yeah... but he didn't see the Baby Reaper first hand... not that I guess you need to to know that the Collector's would be a Bad Thing.
