Out of curiosity... what class is your (everyone) primary Shepard and did they save or destroy the council? Asking their gender isn't really a point I guess. I'll start. My Shepard is named Jorgen. He is and Adept and he saved the council (just because you don't like a politician doesn't mean you should commit a military coup).
Both my Shepards (Ariana & Zinya) are Soldiers and Paragon, and yes saved the council and chose Anderson.
Edit: Actually I did play Zin as an adept originally, but she was much weaker then the soldier. I guess I am just not good with the biotics. I also made one of the imports infiltrator, I am still playing that. Not liking it a whole lot though... habits I guess (I did add a barrier to all of them though, I like more armor options).
Edit again: Ariana is Spacer / Sole survivor
Zinya Spacer/ War Hero.
Carry On!

Catherine's a renegade infiltrator, and she held back to make sure she could actually kill Sovereign, so the Council died.
Ward (male shep!) is a boy-scout sentinel, and he totally saved them. And every fluffly kitten he's ever met since he dragged himself out of the gangs on Earth.

Meghan: Earthborn/Sole Survivor/Paragrade/Vanguard. Saved the Council because the first thing the Reapers did to the Protheans was take out their leadership.
Avery: Colonist/War Hero/Paragon/Adept: Saved the Council for the same reason, though she was bit more emotional about it.

My primary Shepard is an Infiltrator and she opted to concentrate on Sovereign (which is how I prefer to describe it because it's not like she wanted the Council to die, but she sacrificed them to get the job done).NICKjnp wrote...

Unless you renegade Kaidan, he will always advocate saving the Council. I found this particularly funny because he'll do this even with Liara present, and it's the bookish asari who then puts the final bullet in Saren's head to ensure he's dead. I found this to be rather ridiculous -- if nothing else, it would make sense that the soldier is the one trying to ensure Saren is dead.
So anyway, I've wondered what Kaidan would think about Shepard sacrificing the Council. With the Rachni, he mentions how he'd rather have left it up to the Council if given the chance. So with the final Council decision, does he have a strong feeling that Shepard didn't understand the political ramifications of what she did? Or does he recognize that she had a tough decision to make, and respects her decision even if she sacrificed the Council.
I mean, take the romance or friendship out of the equation, will Kaidan comment on what Shepard did if she sacrificed the Council? Off the record?

On a side note... the Geth would have still been there regardless if you told the alliance to wait or if you went in and took them out first.

I know we've probably discussed this ad nauseum... but what do you think Kaidan's reaction would be to finding out what Liara did?
Yes, this is self-serving since Illium is the next stop in aPoV.
Hello everybody,
I think he will be very distraught and it will take a little bit for him to get over it. But when he gets some time and thinks about it, then I guess he will realize, that this was the only way to save Shepard. Just to imagine, what could have happend, if the shadow broker would have hand Shepard´s body to the Collectors (a real creepy thought)... So, if he thinks about that, it should help him to understand.
Yeah... but he didn't see the Baby Reaper first hand... not that I guess you need to to know that the Collector's would be a Bad Thing.
Well, maybe you are right. It might depends on it, how the others, like Garrus, Joker, Dr. Chakwas and Tali can convince him. He knows them and maybe he could be able to trust their word and at least give them a chance, since he still doesn´t trust femshep
Btw my femshep would act a lot like Avery... When I was after Horizon first shocked and then daydreaming, I came up with the idea, that my femshep and Kaidan would have been forced to work together... I thaught that could be an funny situation, because she is still angry and hurt and would at least try to ignore him for a while. And Kaidan would be still confused about the situation and would in one way try to be professional (I hope that´s the right word) and on the other way he just couldn´t stay away... I wished my english would be better, so I hope you be able to understand, what I´m talking about. Anyway I´m curious about your next Paragon

My femsheps are named Sam and Rene, Sam is soldier and Rene is infiltrator (which is my favorate class) and both saved the council (paragon)
Right now I´ve a femshep named Cameron. She is adept (I have to admit, that´s killing me, because I´m getting kicked bad). She will be paragon/renegade and I might not save the council, depends on my mood:devil:

And those Geth can then proceed to wipe out the Alliance for all I care, so long as Sovereign was dead.NICKjnp wrote...

Every time I get into a discussion about the Battle of the Citadel and what would/wouldn't have happened, I get the strong urge to play Homeworld again. Now those were epic space battles...
I bet Kaidan would enjoy playing with Shepard's model ship collection. "Pew! Pew!"

Yeah, but would he discuss it with her? Most politically canny people I know seem to like their debates.Sialater wrote...
I think he respects her decision either way. He proves to be fairly politically canny if you talk to him after Eden Prime, after all.

About Liara shooting Saren in the head, that makes sense to me, because it was his fault her mother had to be killed.

I hadn't thought of that. Sure, she takes a calm stance on her mother's death, even says she feels sorry for Saren, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have some anger issues about the whole thing deep down inside. And given how she changes by ME2, I suspect the girl has some anger issues.Nightodie wrote...

That was always how I saw Liara's shooting of Saren - she owed him a bullet for what happened to her mother.

Always makes my chuckle a bit when Kaidan comes trailing behind her during that sequense. But then, seeing the two of them sit there and thinking Shep is dead is awesome. Seeing Kaidan's sad expression.. aww...

I'm fond of having Wrex at the end. He manages to completely fail to hide the fact he's upset when he thinks Shep is dead, without ever losing his stoic face. He's awesome.

Dangit, you're in my mind now! I just posted Chapter 14 of The Double and the next chapter is the trip to illium (with probably three more chapters on the planet because I've got recruitments and reunions to write)! I'm thinking there's going to be some almighty biotic fireworks before either of them settles down enough to talk about it rationally but, really, if Liara hadn't acted then Shep would still be dead. It's the secrecy that's going to ****** Kaidan off the most.

I took Liara when I played an Adept. With her, Kaidan, and myself using Lift, no enemy ever saw the floor again until they were dead. This was especially true for Sovereign-Saren. Easiest fight I ever had.Sialater wrote...
I don't think I've ever taken Liara on the final fight. So Garrus is the one with that last shot.
