My Shep's main team in ME1 is Kaidan & Garrus - it killed me to leave Garrus behind when I was trying to get the other squaddie achievements. I refuse to leave Kaidan out of my squad so it meant a hell of a lot of playthroughs to get them all, lmao. I have more Shepards than you can poke a stick at.
In ME2 the squad was a bit more fluid depending on the mission but I found that my Sentinel Shep, Thane, & Grunt kicked thresher maw butt.
Kaidan has a spot reserved on my squad for ME3 regardless of who I have to kick off so he'd better be a squad member. Hopefully we will have a smaller squad in ME3 - 12 is far too many as far as I'm concerned and as they all survived the so called suicide mission in all of my playthroughs it will be interesting to see who is going to get dumped. I could cheerfully lose Zaeed, Samara, Kasumi, Tali, and as much as I like Jack I find she is useless in battle, lol.

As a soldier she goes by the book, but something went to hell since she was assigned to Normandy SR1. First it was that Eden Prime accident, then that Lt. and fuzzy feelings, finally Ashley... Cool marine shell is cracking under pressure of remorse.
Previously soldier/shock trooper (military women looks more sexy in armors, with rifles), trained her acquired biotic abilities, but never developed techniques more complex than Throw. After Larazus reconstruction, upgraded chip allowed her to use more of the biotic potential. She always liked technical stuff, so her profession shifted to the one known as Sentinel. Still, she has this unhealthy habit to rush on the first line (Tech Armor and WrapBombs FTW!). Didn't managed to save the Council, indicated Anderson for a chairman.
ME squaddies: Kaidan+insert random character here
ME2 squaddies Kasumi/Garrus+insert random biotic here. Everyone survived.
I have the other character, Dominica, created without love interest in ME only to push her towards Garrus, but it felt wrong to have another career, so stopped playing her. She was tech specialist at first, then an infiltrator, then a vanguard... Meh.
Edit: had to quote the bunny for justice.

I usually take Garrus & Thane once I have him- before I get Grunt Garrus & Jacob / then Garrus & Grunt. I like the strong shooters better, but that would change for me as well if Kaidan came back!!

SESH!!!!! good to have you back again, happy birthday for tomorrow
i seem to have quite a few sheps so i'll talk about my latest
Elodie, vanguard, colonist/ruthless, went paragade, romanced Kaidan(despite my initial intentions of keeping her romanceless), saved the council, saved the Rachni, let Balak go to save the hostages (though she had a hard time with that one, she doesn't like batarians that much)
usual squard in ME1 was Kaidan and Garrus
i only just finished her ME1 playthrough so i haven't decided on her ME2 squad yet.

They just coming & coming.
I think for 3 I wouldn't miss Jack or Zaeed on the ship. I would probably go back to my old faithful squad (my boys) Kaidan (of course) & Garrus!

My main Shep is Riot Shepard, I see her as a very strong and principled woman. She is always as paragon as is possible (although in ME2 the lines are more blurred imo - example, Archangel recruitment electrocuting the gunship mechanic just makes sense, I mean you are going to end up killing him one way or another....) And is a Sentinel (I so love tech armour) Other than that I do really enjoy playing as a infiltrator they are a surprising amount of fun!NICKjnp wrote...
Out of curiosity... what class is your (everyone) primary Shepard and did they save or destroy the council? Asking their gender isn't really a point I guess. I'll start. My Shepard is named Jorgen. He is and Adept and he saved the council (just because you don't like a politician doesn't mean you should commit a military coup).
Also, lol at the eye bleach!

Just came to say that I always save the council, since I forgot to answer that question.

@Stephee - thanks. I'll be back off and on for a little while until I get RL garbage sorted. I'm like you, I have so many Sheps, lol. The only renegade playthrough I did was with Sheploo and he was pretty much an arse to everyone except Kaidan. I tried on a number of occasions to do a renegade playthrough with a femShep but just couldn't do it. I couldn't bear Kaidan being upset with me, lmao. I also tried doing a runthrough where I wasn't going to romance Kaidan - that lasted about 5 minutes, he's just too addictive, lol

DAO was my first Bioware game and that made me curious about ME1. And Carth... Well, girls, you talked so nice about him, so I wanted to get to know him... ;-)

I've never been able to play a tech. That's what Kaidan and Garrus are for.

Mordin is full of win imo! He rapidly became one of my fave ever ME squaddies (1 and 2 included)sagequeen wrote...

Either it's supposed to be the person saved on Virmire or it's a misplaced item by one of the level designers. Or Anderson is proud of Kaidan and has taken him on as his protege. Unless Kaidan died on Virmire, in which case Anderson is creepily displaying his secret love for his lieutenant that he never had a chance to awknowledge openly while Kaidan was alive. Or it's like a psychological projection frame, and people only see who they want to see in the frame. For instance, if Mordin looked into the frame, he'd see Shepard.
this.
oh, i love mordin so much. i think he's my fave me2 squaddie. how can you *not* love the crazy guy?

@Sia: Kaidan, Garrus, Tali... even Liara has some tech skills. Why I can get away with Ella being practically technologically illiterate.
I can't really tell much about class in ME2, though, they streamlined things so much. I still have to actually look at skills in the squad screen to figure out who I want to take with me at any particular moment.
eta: And yes, Mordin is probably my favorite ME2 squad mate. He'd be really easy to have as a compelling NPC without totally gimping the character and interaction for ME3 too. Just have a handy lab you can visit him in during the game! And thus, if you killed him during the suicide mission (crazy person!) you'd just have an empty lab.

My Main Shepard is Colonist/Sole Survivor engineer. His experiences narrowly surviving horrific events when he shouldn't have left him with survivor's guilt and a soured view of the world. He is kind to those who deserve kindness, but ruthless to those who deserve none. He is passionate about his views and takes a hard line approach towards criminals.
In ME1 his main team was Kaidan and Tali. He worked well with Tali's technical ability and appreciated Kaidan's level headedness and tolerant views. He was as much as a friend to Kaidan as you can get as Male Shepard.
In ME2 his main team is Tali and Garrus, as they were the closest thing to constants in his life working with Cerberus. He despises Cerberus to having them along was a godsend. On Horizon he sympathized with Kaidan's vehement criticism of Cerberus and wished that he could have Kaidan back in his squad in the future should the opportunity ever present itself.

I swear for Meghan's or Avery's story (or both) I'm going to put in a comment from one of them about how her sudden ability to hack is hot.
Morning, Shenzi!

Yeah, I'm handwaving that bit for Ella. It's really just someone else in the squad, regardless of the possible fact that there is no squad, or no tech in it...
And somehow I accidentally submitted this before I was done typing... urgh.
eta: Your version, Sia, sounds much more entertaining.
