Dunno it's a funny line, no not your arse Doug , I agree  that Shep would always be in charge no matter what and I get the impression Spectre outranks everyone in alien matters but the alliance still seem to give Shep orders and the such, I don't think that an alliance general would defer to Shep automatically.

If the Council is indisposed, it is up to the next rank to take over (a Spectre). So technically, if the Council dies, a Spectre could set themselves up as the Council itself...

Ha, I just did a google image search for "Kaidan Alenko", trying to find that hot ME1 pic of him with his arms crossed (biceps!) and after a couple of pages, my DAO avatar came up as a result! Google's on to me...

Anywho, the generals make requests of Shepard, not issue orders, heh.

According to the system they have if you read the codex Staff Commander outrank Lt Commander in the ME universe. So all stand in attention for our Kaidan

Bioware does a good job with the the shy, easily embarrassed males.   I played dragon age several times through and I could never romance anyone but Alistair although I did torture the poor guy and always made him make the first move.   Am I allowed to actually say the word Alistair in this thread?  /duck

I gave this my best shot...didn't turn out as good as I wanted but profiles aren't my strong point. The Shep is generic.

Alistair is allowed, I may be crazy and rabid but I have many pixilated crushes including Alistair so you're safe mentioning him, just as long as you remember that Kaidan is the Biotic God of pixilated manmeat!

I loved Alistair too, even if he broke the heart of all my characters. Except my Cousland, instead they will form the shortest dynasty in history no babies for them:(
