@Night, I'll let you off then ;-) There are quite a few of us on this side of 40 aren't there?!
@Aslo, we both have 3 children (mine are 18, 15 and one year old) :-)
How long have we all been playing then? I have been playing since I was about 19 (but had a few years gap) My son (the 18 year old) got me into BioWare by telling me to play Jade Empire (I mostly played JRPG's up to then) and that was it, I remember the first announcement of Mass Effect and being more excited than I could put into words. I also remember firing up the game for the first time and swooning at Kaidan thinking ''Thank you, BioWare''!

Morning Sapphy, yep on th 20th, Gemini & Cancer cusp - & I am a true Gemini I can go from zero to vexed in no time flat - I keep telling you guys ~scary~
I know exactly how that is. My birthday is also June 20th!
Of course, we share it this year with Father's Day *grumbles* Just like when I was born.

@ Sapphy yeah that's funny the fathers day thing bothers me too - i'm glad I am not the only one
It didn't bother me until I started dating. My dad was always willing to pretend Father's Day was some other day whenever they intersected so I could have my day. It's the BF who is normally unwilling to do the same with his dad - who never remembers when my birthday is after the BF tells him.
I think I'm the baby of those of awake right now though. I'm still under 30. But I've been playing computer/video games all my life. My dad had several Ataris (different models) that I can recall from earlier memories when I was 3 or 4, and I remember playing games like M.U.L.E. and Spy vs. Spy.

@ hello Sapphy
@ Jenova my children are 21, 15 and 8 years old. The first game I played, was this tennis on tv. I can´t remember the name, but that was my start waaaay back... It´s about the same time like you. My first RPGs were Gothic and Morrowind, those got me hooked... My son (21) talked me into Bioware and into ME1, but still I needed some more time, since I couln´t believe that a SciFic rpg could be so much fun... was just to used to my sword an magic ...lol...,
that´s why I started with DAO and that got me hooked...
Yes, thank you Bioware!
Bth way, I think that´s what´s keeping us young...

You can play it online still. Not that I've spent a night doing that...
@Jen: Yes, we are crazy, and it isn't so bad. The BF is still learning to deal with it after 7 years though.
The sharing of the day isn't terrible, just once every few years we have to share. I would never want to share the birthdya/christmas thing.

I also like to find matching armors. I was originally going to outfit everyone in the same armor, but I never found good Predator armor for my Shep. I gave both Liara and Kaidan in my last playthrough Predeator LX though. I rocked Colossus MX.
Also, I'll be 28, so I'm not the baby online atm.

Laugh at me, what I treasure the most from those games is the music. People make a lot of remixes now, so I'm in heaven. I love soundtracks, I get very emotional about music too. I couldn't make it to Video Games Live last year in Poland, I don't know if Tony and the gang plan to visit us again in the future
Games are mostly the reason I know English too, because in elementary/high it was always German or Russian.
Edit, why do I always press new post instead of edit, dammit.

I play since C64. Can't really say what, we had a lot of games, Pitfall, Giana Sisters, TLN, whoa. I remember all those weird small Russian handhelds when I was like 6 years old, I've always liked those toys. Later I've watched my brothers playing things like Rainbow Six, while I had Heroes (I like military stuff overall and my father was a soldier). Then my bro bought a PlayStation, those were good times

You think the um..manbasket thing is actually comfortable for Kaidan to wear for long periods of time? Well it has to be, I'm sure...but I can imagine him hating it. Though not as much as taking full damage in that area I'm sure lol

My father is Gemini (yesterday he was 73) and my aunt was (her birthday would have been today, but she has been dead for about 16 years) It was always a lark getting those 2 together!sapphyreelf wrote...

What would be worst case scenario for Kaidan actor in the ME movie? For me it would be if they went for someone really young to appeal to a certain movie going demographic (don't really like the idea of the movie, tbh, but still it is OT

A good soundtrack can make a great game into an amazing game! I always had a soft spot for SEGA's Skies Of Arcadia soundtrack, especially the battle music that changed as you played (if you were losing it became dire but then became a swelling uplifting piece if you turned it around)AkodoRyu wrote...
