@Jho - well it would only be on long missions that the manbasket got uncomfortable, once he got back to the ship Kaidan could change into his casual uniform, although those straps could cause a bit of chafing, lmao
and just because :

I play since C64. Can't really say what, we had a lot of games, Pitfall, Giana Sisters, TLN, whoa. I remember all those weird small Russian handhelds when I was like 6 years old, I've always liked those toys. Later I've watched my brothers playing things like Rainbow Six, while I had Heroes (I like military stuff overall and my father was a soldier). Then my bro bought a PlayStation, those were good times
Oh, I'll be 27 in a month by the way.
I've found matching armors again. I'm a weirdo.
You think the um..manbasket thing is actually comfortable for Kaidan to wear for long periods of time? Well it has to be, I'm sure...but I can imagine him hating it. Though not as much as taking full damage in that area I'm sure lol

@Akodo: I remember Pitfall. And Montezuma. And a host of all other crazy games.
Laugh at me, what I treasure the most from those games is the music. People make a lot of remixes now, so I'm in heaven. I love soundtracks, I get very emotional about music too. I couldn't make it to Video Games Live last year in Poland, I don't know if Tony and the gang plan to visit us again in the futureThey play ME themes with Jack Wall too.
Games are mostly the reason I know English too, because in elementary/high it was always German or Russian.
Edit, why do I always press new post instead of edit, dammit.

Well, if it's there, then definitely for a reasonJust that some armors have bright contrasted colors, so people can't stop
staringpaying attention to it.

@Jen: Yes, we are crazy, and it isn't so bad. The BF is still learning to deal with it after 7 years though.
The sharing of the day isn't terrible, just once every few years we have to share. I would never want to share the birthdya/christmas thing.I'm ten days before Xmas and people do it to me all the time <_<
What would be worst case scenario for Kaidan actor in the ME movie? For me it would be if they went for someone really young to appeal to a certain movie going demographic (don't really like the idea of the movie, tbh, but still it is OTiygwim?)

worst case - they take an actor I hate, to young etc.I´m not against a movie, which is settled in he ME Universe, but I can´t imagine a movie with a Commander Shepard, that would be kind of weird...

A good soundtrack can make a great game into an amazing game! I always had a soft spot for SEGA's Skies Of Arcadia soundtrack, especially the battle music that changed as you played (if you were losing it became dire but then became a swelling uplifting piece if you turned it around)AkodoRyu wrote...

Thanks Aslan, yes its still my birthday for another 2 hours anyway, lol. My body may be 47 but I don't think my mind ever went past 15, lol
Yeah, I hope they do something not related to the games or Shepard, it will 'break', the illusion and immersion for many (particularly female) gamers. Especially if they went to Virmire, cos that can't end well for us lot, can it!Aslanasadi wrote...

Every video to game movie film has been subpar and most frequently butchers the story and characters of the game it's based upon. Talented as Bioware is, I have no reason to believe they would somehow break the trend.
It's even worse if they use Commander Shepard in the movie. Using Shepard would annoy a great deal of fans, who have their own idea of what is canon for them, of who Shepard is and how Shepard acted. There's no doubt Shepard would be male in the movie - and already there you have a sizeable group of fans who are not being represented. That just goes to show that even one thing such as gender can alienate fans.
But that's not all. Shepard is going to have his own moral compass, his own love interest, his own background, his own everything, all of which have great potential to be vastly different from how the fans played and how the fans fell in love with the game. Their own personal experience will puncture, deflate, and become illusionary.
Though I'm exaggerating here. But I think many fans agree at least in part with me.
So far as Kaidan goes, one of the worst things they can do is make him completely or virtually forever in the background. Which I expect them to do.

If they have to do it, maybe they can at least make it a buddy film, with Kaidan and Garrus. That leaves Tali and Ash out in the cold and Liara as the love interest, though. Seriously, there just isn't a good way to do the story they've already told. They need a new one.Collider wrote...

Hmm...on that note. I could tolerate the movie more if Shepard had no love interest and instead was just friends with his entire crew, they themselves friends with eachother. That would be much more interesting. I like Ashley and Liara (and the whole squad from both games with the exception of Morinth) but I don't like how Hollywood has to put some cheesy romance into so many movies. I heard that Megan Fox from transformers was kicked off the cast for the third movie, and they are just going to give the main character another girlfriend. Jeez.legbamel wrote...

I agree. I want something new or something that doesn't have to do with Shepard. If they did something that referenced Shepard but not Shepard's gender or choices (besides what Shepard is forced to do like stop Saren, etc) that would okay I guess. I wouldn't mind learning about Anderson and Saren.Seriously, there just isn't a good way to do the story they've already told. They need a new one.
