Kaidan knows this.

i miss kaidan's dancing. it matches sheps for pure dorkiness - in the sweetest way.
per the specter discussion: i feel like i could take any random scenario so long as it ends up with the virmire survivor on the ship, ready to reconcile with shep. and live to the end. and ride off into the planet-set together. but hey, i'm not picky.

I have a
hypothetical due to the fact that it's cold and flu season here. If your
Shepard got a cold, would she let Kaidan take care of her until she's
well again?
Ella would not have let him help in ME, but she is relieved enough to be reconciled post-ME2 that she'd simply wallow in him taking care of her. In fact, she'd probably sneeze on him as much as possible in an attempt to get him sick, to take care of him/return the favor and keep them both in 'quarantine' longer.

I like how that strongly implies that you can't start a romance w/the ME1 LI's in ME3 if you hadn't had one originally. Rather like the inability to start a Garrus romance in ME2 if you didn't recruit him in 1. That is awesome. Some relationships have to build to have a chance.

I'm pretty sure Garrus and Tali are
actually very clever, very small reapers and that they have
indoctrinated the masses of gamers.
And I don't even remember who posted the Princess Bride clip in response to 'cheating' in ME2, but that was AWESOME! Thank you.
And now I'm going to attempt to get caught up on the fics I missed, or work on Chapter 12. Not sure which yet.

Wait, what? I'm on my fourth playthrough of ME1 and I still have never seen him dance. When? Where? HOW?!
While you're answering that, let me also mention that Chapter 17 of The Double is up now. Chapter 18 seems to promise a large amount of fluff, although not so much as to require its removal to aff.

to get the dancing with Kaidan, you have to have started the romance track with him.
when you go to Flux, run on to the dance floor then click on Kaidan, you may have to click twice because the first time he may just say his comment about flux. you must be on the dancefloor to trigger the dance.

I have every digit (including toes) crossed for Kaidan to return as a squadmate in ME3. It would seem entirely wrong of Bioware to restrict him to another cameo in ME3, as his importance has been building up since game 1: You fall in love and save the man from certain death, then two years later he has been promoted, narrowly avoids death again, confesses his love for Shepard, and lingers just out of reach...
My favorite line of Kaidan's has got to be "Shepard, you make me feel... human."
Plain and simple, but so... unique.
And to all our artists, your work is wonderful! You can cover this topic in as much chocolately Kaidan goodness as you like.
Mmm... chocolate... Kaidan... *gutter dives*

ooh, you're right. you win. that has to be the best kaidan line. especially as it's the clear clue that he's come to shep with something on his mind...

it took me a while to find the right moment. it's when you go back to the citadel. you can tell the time is ripe for dancing because doran, the club owner, will be out there dancing with a couple of asari.
well, i'm wandering the alchera DLC and feeling way nostalgic and missing kaidan in this game. probably will do a lot of alt+tabbing to go write smut to keep me happy....

These sidequests would be the Jenna quest and the Schells gambling quest. If the Volus is on the dance floor, then you should be able to dance with Kaidan.
Edit: Just wanted to add the thing about the sidequests

oh, hey, thanks. i never knew that part.
i always had to figure that my shep had gotten drunk to want to help schells. i just could not figure out any other way that i could justify her taking the time to do that. such a strange quest.

Your Night Crew is back online.
There area obviously floors on the Normandy we never get to see, since there are 20 crewmembers that we never get to see. Or maybe days are twice as long so instead of 3 shifts sleeping there are six. 20 does seem like an awful lot of dead and several people say to you in ME2 MOST of the crew survived...
Off to work, but I will be here..

There had to have been far more than 20 crew on that ship. You already pick up 20 dogtags of those that didn't survive.
What we think is funny is that there wasn't more than 20 in the first game. We think they raised the number of dogtags for the DLC.
