Hoping for an announcement as well, but not holding my breath. Even trying not to think about it all, or not too much rather. I'm just wishing they add Kaidan and Ash to the Liara DLC, but even those chances are slim.
While I am a Liara fan and hoping for a Liara DLC, I think it would be unfair to not include Ashley and Kaidan in it (with the same amount of content) and call it ME1-LI DLC. If anyone of the ME1-LIs get their own DLC it will be unfair to the others, imo. We all suffered the same disappointment and should all get something good for a change.
It is unlikely though, because if it's done right, it would make the DLC really big (and expensive) or there'll just be a few lines before an hour of shooting and a cya at the end....which would suck<_<
Although having Kaidan/Ashley appear in the Liara DLC would ROCK my SOCKS, I'm trying to keep my expectations realistic. I just want it to be announced, so that I can be reassured that they do remember the poor ME1 love interests exist, and hopefully, the audio found ingame isn't part of the DLC that we get. Anything above and beyond that is icing, in my opinion.
Now to try to catch up on fanfiction, and hopefully "work" won't get in the way!

My husband hasn't read anything I've written, nor do I ever intend to show him.
He's a bit surprised that I'm still working on the same fic, asked me if I was writing a frigging novel the other day.
And he certainly doesn't know I was writing smut over the weekend. First thing he asked me when I told him I was writing fic was "you're not writing porn are you?" and since my first piece was "Understanding" I could honestly answer him that it was the furthest thing from porn.
my husband read a little of what i'd written. i can honestly say that i think he has no problem with the idea of my writing smut.
re: the dog tags. wouldn't Liara have them? as she's the one who collected shep's body and all. i need to get my hands on that graphic novel. anyone know where to find it? this is as much to assuage my ME addiction as for research for fanfic...so, well, it's all about the addiction.

Hi, Sage, no, this concerns only Liara's case and her connections with the Shadow Broker.

I don't know if it is actually a graphic novel yet, but I read it on my Iphone. I assume you can get it from bioware, I know you can get it from itunes and you probably can get it from Amazon
It is interesting in that it never refers to Shepards sex. Liara never actually touches the body per say and remember Legion has part of her armor so who knows if they survived the fall reentry.

This is exactly what I love in English language, you can talk about someone and dont know about the gender untill something like the name pops up.Nightodie wrote...

I guess it's fine, because every player has his own "vision" of the commander.

It's cool actually because when I first read it I was waiting for the "he" to come up and when It never did I enjoyed the comic that much more.... course it would have been better with Kaidan... (Just Saying)

There are audio files in the game directory that are Liara/Shadow Broker related, but not used ingame (I should have worded my original post better), but I hope they don't use them. They continue the weird role that Liara got in ME2, and if they care about giving her a good role in ME3, those files should be scrapped.
I kind of wish there really were hidden audio files for Kaidan, just so that we could have something to speculate about...

Good Morning Nick and thank you,
She said it would take years to sort through the data, does that mean she won't join Shepard at all.. that doesn't bode well for us at all guys!!!

It looks like it is just place holder files like Kasumi was before the Kasumi DLC.

I'm allowed to write smut (according to my husband) as long as I make money off it. I told him this was practice so I could get good enough to do it professionally. Guess that just makes me a talented amateur.

Actually, I took it to mean they were wondering what genetic abnormalities Shepard already had that s/he could survive and process the beacons and thorian memories. Which is actually a spectacularly good question, cause the games definitely give the impression that most people would've gone loony after the fact. (Or maybe that's just in fanfic?)

Nope, not just in fanfic. Liara herself says it, too after one of her mind-melds.
Which begs the question: Kaidan is already an oddity with being a stable L2. Could he have survived the exposure to the beacon?

Poor Liara. I seriously think they used bad lighting and tweaked her model in ME2 to make her less attractive to people staying faithful. And like I said, I really hope that they rewrite the plot of any possible DLC to make it more interesting. Killing the Shadow Broker in a half hour DLC seems anti climactic. And not having Liara join Shepard after the deed is done is even more disappointing.
Yet another reason to hope that Ashley and Kaidan are included in the Liara DLC...they'll have to make some changes to fit them into the story!

Thanks Sia, I knew I'd gotten the impression somewhere in game, but couldn't remember where.
And I remember reading something, somewhere, about Kaidan being thankful Shepard had saved him from the beacon, as her headaches/nightmares/etc. were bad enough he was pretty sure he'd never have been able to handle them on top of his migraines. Of course, Kaidan would certainly sell himself short (and think more highly of Shepard) in such a situation, so that's not a remotely unbiased opinion there.
I , personally, think he'd probably have been able to handle it as well, but that's definitely something we'll never know for sure. Would make a great A/U story though... the beacon got him before Shepard could knock him free. I have no idea how you'd tie that into Shepard the Spectre, the Thorian stuff, or the Collector plot though, as then they'd all be going after Alenko instead. *hmmm*

Shepard would still be a Spectre. Her primary assignment would just be Kaidan's bodyguard. A job for which I think we'd all volunteer. :innocent:
