I finished work and now the nice part of the day is starting :-)

I wouldn´t mind a movie of the ME universe, but I don´t think I´ll like a story with Shepard.

And Kaidan? Who should take this part? I have no idea. To see him on the widescreen with a different face and voice... :-( Maybe I´m just prejudiced...

Oh yeah, we all agree that Kaidan w/o Sbarge's voice would be a huge disappointment. I admit to a tendency to really want to see Erica Cerra playing Ashley, and a hanar on the wide-screen would make me giggle, but... I'd still rather they avoid Shepard, and screwing with his/her crew as portrayed in the game.

It's not just the humans, either.  The aliens would just be... odd on the big screen.  it would have to be one big CGI-fest like Avatar.

It's just the voice.  The actor sounds like John Goodman and I was surprised to find out it wasn't him.

He can totally pull of the whole 'still waters run deep'/emotion hiding under self-control thing Kaidan does too. hmm. Seems like we have a cast started, despite the fact that very few of us actually want them to make the movie. *laughs* Erica Cerra for Ashley and Oded Fehr for Kaidan might be pretty good, though.

@ jilly: hey, that's exactly what i have in the other room, too. only i got my coffee going before said baby crashed.

now am imagining oded faher (Sp?) as kaidan. voice wouldn't be quite the same, but it might work...

still, they'd probably virmire him. the only other possibility is that they'd have shep virmire ashley and then get with liara as "comfort" for loosing her. 

but as 1) it will likely be a maleshep and 2) it's a movie based on a vG, i have low hopes.  

geh. who wants to see a dude save the galaxy anyway? not me. MOAR female heroes!

You know, Angelina Jolie does action movies all the time. She even replaced Tom Cruise for the lead in the one that's coming out soon, Salt. Why is she the only big name female star who gets these roles nowadays? I'm not a fan of Shepard's story being the focus of the movie, but if it has to be done, I want FemShep!



No, I don't think we'll get her, but it would greatly increase the odds that I would see a Mass Effect movie about Shepard, which are sitting at zero right now.

Oded Fehr
He was the male lead opposite Jovovich/Alice in Resident Evil 2, and the guy trying to keep them from waking up Imhotep in The Mummy.

eta: oops, doubly 'd.  Baby decided to squirm, thought I'd hit enter already, but no...

And, I want FemShep to be in the movie, but set up like Ripley in Aliens, not Jolie.  No glam-Shepard, as Sapphy put it in a previous conversation.  (Have I mentioned my massive girl-crush on Sigourney Weaver/Ripley before now?  No?  She's awesome.)
