I don't think that they'll announce anything about the Virmire survivor. Liara will be announced early like Tali was. The Virmire survivor will be like the Garrus of ME3 where you don't know until the week before that they're in the game.

Regardless of what they do, I'm not preordering or even purchasing until I get definitive proof that the story plays out in a satisfactory way. ME2 was extremely boring for me and I'll be just fine not completing the trilogy if ME3 is the same way.

OMG how can you live that way? o.O

I'm still upset over not finding one brownie in the last dungeon of Shining the Holy Ark.

Also... no rpg play at all.  It is almost all shooter.... I hope this isn't the direction they are going to go with ME3.

I never finished the Firewalker DLC, because of how awful the Hammerhead controls were.  I never imagined they could make a vehicle WORSE than the Mako (can't get out of it, extremely delicate controls, gets stuck everywhere, no armor), but they did.  And since Firewalker was even more boring than the typical N7 missions, which I'm already not fond of, I quit.  Finding out the only reward for finishing would be a tiny Prothean orb on the table in my cabin justified never picking it up again. 

As for Kaidan in marketing, I know they're very fond of MarketingShepard, and only showing him with the current Sexy Cover Babe and one Cool Looking Alien Bro.  I was just thinking about the game mechanic of having the Virmire Survivor be a potential squad member, and how that *could* be very interesting to preview ahead of time.  I'm probably just thinking wishfully, though.

I'm with fort, though, no purchase without reviews from consumers, and information concerning the outcome for love interests.  It may not be the most important aspect of the game, but it adds enough that ending the series without closure would make it meaningless to me.

It's story... but it's like... "the vi is taking over so run for your lives!"  Nothing that makes me feel like there is a threat.  No squadmate dialogue either.  There was more interaction from Bringing Down the Sky.

Yep. This is what they think is 'deep and emotionally engaging' now.  ME3 is going to be ick.

I don´t believe we will see Kaidan or femshep in the promotion for ME3, like it was said before, maleshep is leading the game. Well, at least he will be in ME3 and I hope we get a little bit more this time...

This doesn't bode well at all.... I will buy ME3 one way or the other, even if it's an utter disappointment, like I bought fallout 3 which was an utter disappointment after the epicness of fallout 1 and 2, but reading all this, it's good not to have many hopes up

I'm of the opinion that if ME3 turns out the way I suspect it will, then I won't be buying it (or buying used). And from there I won't buy any more BW games either,

Oct glad your up and around.  I liked fallout 3, but I never played 1 or 2 , I played Morrowind and Oblivion and was a fan of those games, so that is why I like fallout 3.... not as much as ME though.

I'm on the 'I'm not getting ME3 until I know whether it will give me what I expect and want' bandwagon as well. sounds like the new dlc is one to miss. Pinnacle Station doesn't seem so bad now, lmao

afternoon night and everyone else. i thought i would like fallout 3 but i got bored midway through and stopped. i blame the tunnels. maybe i'll finish it eventually. as for me3, unless i get lots of kaidan goodness, i'm not buying it. i also would like the mako back. i loved it. i didn't understand why it was unpopular.

I'm starting to get a little worried about this myself. I get that the big rage is FPS, and I love the improvements they made over the shooting system in ME1...okay, except the clips, which I get, but don't like...but I game for the story. I game for the world build that has interesting dynamics and politics and big bads. I game so I can meet interesting characters like Kaidan whom I adore and characters like Chambers who makes my teeth grind everytime I have to hear her speak or even those who have moved to the creepy side of Character Island where I don't usually visit.

I sincerely hope this isn't BWs future. It's like they want to make the game FPS and all the surrounding media, books, comics, etc tell the story. Which would be fine if it were Kaidan based. I'd actually buy. But Liara doesn't interest me enough to want to buy comic books again and the current DLC, from all reports, does nothing to enhance the story or characters.

I´m a girl of Bethesda. Loved to play Morrowind and Oblivion. If they had a LI, like Kaidan, it would´ve been perfect..
And with ME3 I won´t set my hope to high, but I´m not that much of pessimist  either...   I just wish we wouldn´t have to wait that long...

Yeah....but at least there's a glimpse of Kaidan in that new vid on the main page. Old ME1 footage of the Citadel and I saw him for a split second....whooptidoo
