I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with Rachel. I have to get by the minefield that is Kaidan's romance first. (I can't unlist! ugh!)

I hope to have one utterly single game with her for both ME1 & ME2, just to see what happens in 3.  But she'll have at least one Thane game.

I have a "pure" renegade character I transferred to ME2 recently, and I was thinking about romancing a new LI to see how the confrontation with Kaidan would go in ME3, but I can't do it yet. It's not like in ME1 where you can just flirt a bit with Liara to trigger the confrontation scene, and since we still don't know what the consequence is, I'm worried. What if it makes the character you don't choose walk away from the party forever, or something horrible like that??? I'd feel terrible doing that to any of them...

I don't like my renegade much (going renegade in Zaeed's quest made me feel AWFUL!), so that doesn't help either.

The BBCode used on this forum is really wonky, the list function doesn't work very well.

I'd be afraid if FemShep became the center of attention all of a sudden. That usually means the boobs get bigger, the armor tighter and the skirts shorter.

I've never had a full renegade Shepard before.
In the second game I was pretty split. More paragon than Renegade but not a perfect angel. whatever the situation calls for! or my mood. whichever.
Now to keep watching a video game with people dressed as clowns and shooting gun.... yippe. <_<

Did you not notice in ME1 that the heavier the armor got the more, ahem, "defined" the femshep's backside became?  Light armor, not so bad, heavy armor, ouch.  No such luck with the heavy armor for the maleshep.  That's a damn shame.

I didn´t play renegade in ME1 yet. I never could kill Wrex, since I count him, next to Garrus as best buddy, or let innocent die. The only option I would consider, is to let the counsil die... I didn´t like them in ME1 and ME2.

In ME2 I played the first playthrough full paragon and the second I chose some renegade decisions, because I thaught it´s okay for me. Like on Tuchanka blowing up the Krogans. I would have to kill them anyway, so why don´t just make it easier... ;-) Exuse my english, I´m getting tired... *yawns*

Well, I've already gotten the Paramour achievement thanks to Meghan, so if they go off that, poor Avery's screwed, too, and it won't matter what Rachel does.

Since you can keep your characters as separate saves, I'll probably have Rachel have at least one game where she's single, one where she romances Thane and one where she romances Garrus, so I can see what it's like if I avoid the triangle in ME3.  Or I'll make another Shepard since I've yet to play ME1 on Insanity on this XBOX.  I'm trying to remind myself that Rachel's all about professionalism and flirting with Kaidan is not professional.

Of course, all this depends on how much I can stand to replay ME1 & 2 over and over again.

I'm also still avoiding Avery's Horizon confrontation.  I'm stalling.  But then, I promise myself smut in aPoV and feel better.

I don't think I ever wore heavy armor myself and saw it.

Yeah... adepts and vanguards don't do heavy armor, so I'll take your word for it.

I had to go to the BBCode and turn it off manually.  All while singing, "This is the list that never ends."  Don't go there.

Roleplaying is fun.  If you don't stretch your imagination, you never make up crazy things.  Remember, you can still romance Kaidan as a renegade!  In fact, in ME1/2 you can max out your Renegade bar and still be nice to a few specific people.  You don't have to like your Renegade, you just have to like playing the game.

Multiple saves are your friends.  If you don't like what happened, reload and try something different.  No one will know but you :D  However, sometimes it's dramatically appropriate to have someone walk away from the party forever, in the context of your character's story.

So apparently the whole game of The Old Republic is voiced, along with your character from what I see. I wonder if Jennifer Hale will do the voice of one of the female players?

From this interview:

"But when you think about it, part of what made the previous game great is the process of meeting those characters for the first time. That has to be part of the experience too, how you meet new characters."

Hmm... is...true, yes. But I kind of felt it was getting to know the characters that was so great. I feel that's a big chunk of why tali and garrus are so popular - they're so well-developed over 2 games.

Warning
Romancing Kaidan may lead to one or more of the following:

  • uncontrollable need to write fanfic (see, every poster in thread)

  • heartbroken sobbing (see, Horizon)

  • obsession (see, every post in thread)

  • obnoxious happiness (see, every post in thread)
  • continuous replaying of a specific save file (see, pre-Ilos jump save)

  • compulsive need to make new femSheps (see, almost every post in thread)

  • severe disappointment with all other romance options (except Garrus)

  • inability to seriously consider anyone else as a romance option ("You make me feel... human.")

Not every poster writes fanfic, some of the posters create artwork instead for us to enjoy. Posted Image

I'm about to leave work, but I'll read it when I get home.

I'm working on it, just want to be... original with it.

Again, the cluelessness abounds.

They also couldn't understand the popularity of Garrus' romance.    But I know this is the wrong thread for that. :D

well, also the wrong thread, but i remember seeing an interview where a dev said that it was weird people liked tali because she had "chicken feet".  i remember thinking, 'seriously?" her intro scene in ME1 is about as classically leading-lady-i-am-in-distress-but-not-too-much-thank-you-so-much-big-strong-man-for-saving-little-old-me-but-really-i'm-spunky-and-could-have-handled-it-myself as you can get. was so surprised when she was not a romance option. and that's coming from only-had-eyes-for-kaidan me.

and since that's off topic a bit:

most creative in bed.

... *snrk*

I'm one of those folks who was late to the Mass Effect party because I thought (by virtue of the initial screenshots and things) that ME was a Halo-clone.  I only found out otherwise when all the hype about ME2 started kicking up and I overheard someone talking about character customization.  Marketing could definitely be improved.

Uh... okay, dumb question, but do we have any stats on Kaidan?  Birthday?  Height/Weight?  Parents' names?

(I know that JRPGs tend to overstuff their games with useless facts, but I have a reason for asking, so if anyone's got an idea or a ruler or something...otherwise, wing it I shall).
