From this interview:
"But when you think about it, part of what made the previous game great is the process of meeting those characters for the first time. That has to be part of the experience too, how you meet new characters."
Hmm... is...true, yes. But I kind of felt it was getting to know the characters that was so great. I feel that's a big chunk of why tali and garrus are so popular - they're so well-developed over 2 games.
Again, the cluelessness abounds.
They also couldn't understand the popularity of Garrus' romance. But I know this is the wrong thread for that.
well, also the wrong thread, but i remember seeing an interview where a dev said that it was weird people liked tali because she had "chicken feet". i remember thinking, 'seriously?" her intro scene in ME1 is about as classically leading-lady-i-am-in-distress-but-not-too-much-thank-you-so-much-big-strong-man-for-saving-little-old-me-but-really-i'm-spunky-and-could-have-handled-it-myself as you can get. was so surprised when she was not a romance option. and that's coming from only-had-eyes-for-kaidan me.
and since that's off topic a bit:
From what I heard she was supposed to be a romance option but was cut because of the chicken feet. So would that mean man shepard would have one more option than female shepard?!
I'm shocked.
