Happy 1600 pages! So much Kaidan love. <3 And for good reason too.
So here's a question for you guys ... In what ways is Kaidan better than Jacob? I'm sure I'm forgetting some which is why I need your opinions.
Kaidan is pretty different from Jacob.
Kaidan is loyal to the Alliance, because he believes in working within the system, while Jacob joined Cerberus because he didn't want to deal with bureaucracy.
Kaidan talks about his past, in the context of expressing concern about how Shepard is doing, while Jacob is extremely reluctant to talk about himself, and only asks how Shepard is doing near the end of the romance.
Kaidan is pretty straight forward about his interest in Shepard, while with Jacob, Shepard practically throws herself at him, while he says he's not big on talks half the time.
If Shepard turns down Kaidan in the love scene, he responds that he'll wait and he's eager for the future. If Shepard turns down Jacob, he calls her a tease.
Kaidan is also more useful as a squadmate, and purely in my opinion, had better, more fun banter with other party members.
QFE - what she said. plus he's ten times sexier, i really don't like the buffed up upper torso as if he's continuously holding his breath, he looks ridiculous.

ALL Valid Points FTW! I means seriously...in ME1 you have to work for that Kaidan love! in ME2, you just want to socialize and it's *BAM* You have a new love interest even if you weren't going for that.

Wow, seems like I missed a lot last night...
I agree with Teen and Oct
There´s no armor, which I would prefer. Most look very good on Kaidan.

Luckily the romance lines in ME2 are so cheesy it's easy to know which ones to stay away from. Doesn't change the whole femshep/jacob mess with her voice though. I really feel sorry for the guy. From the start he treats her with respect, salutes her, admires her professionally and then she stops by and talks like a woman in heat. Surprised she managed to lean back against the table when talking, was expecting her to pounce and dry hump the poor man.
Said it before, Jacob should file a harrassment report
And then there are times you want her to say whatever the dialogue wheel comes up with and end up shrieking in terror when words roll out of Shepards mouth you didn't expect at all. Like on Horizon.
But yeah, I love the natural, flowing romance of ME1 with the tension moments and subtle flirting. Even though there weren't that many pure dialogues with Kaidan. Everything around it makes it clear something is happening. Still melt at his little smiles...though I'm hoping for more hugs, holding hands, kisses and a more agressive Kaidan (as in just pulling Shep in for a kiss instead) in ME3

Let's say it's another N7 assigment with Hammerhead involved. There's some nice geth whopping, I liked the geth ship part, the end battle was more inventive than just shooting, but the whole thing is strangely easy on Hadrcore (from Sentinel's perspective, with 6/6 biotic/tech upgrades). On the end we get another (6th) health upgrade.fortunesque wrote...

I took Samara/Garrus along and it was fun to watch our turian friend dragging a dead female body out of the landing pad to put it in a casket:

The story part... How it connets to the main story? (well it's not really connecting, but....) Just with three words, Cerberus, TIM, experiments. It's another version of the Shepard's "I'm fighting to prevent crap like this" stuff, I don't wanna say too much if you plan to buy this DLC. Shepard alone seems to be pretty low on words and tense and all-high-and-mighty, squaddies stay shut like they're afraid to open their mouths.
I'd say it's good. 3,5/5 or so. I had fun about 3 hours (Hammerhead prolongs the playtime, but it's mainly just enjoying the ride and REALLY pretty views... Organic lifeforms may wish to take a note. Oh. And don't waste bullets on cameras, they do nothing ;p

See why I
wouldn't make a very good Kaidan.
EDIT: I was wery touched by Portal2 announcement and Glados saying "Let's put al those walls behind us. For science. You monster." with her calmest voice ever.
EDIT2: I've encountered some problems with weapon reloading in this DLC, never occured to me before.

I must say I haven't rushed the new dlc yet. I feel very meh towards ME2 and have from the first playthrough. It just didn't hold my interest like ME1 did. After the release of the darkspawn dlc for DAO (which I refuse to buy) I'm feeling a bit 'meh' towards bioware and their dlc as well. I just don't like the direction they seem to be going in.
@Octarin - hope you're feeling better after your op.
@Jho - I agree, the romances in ME1 (specifically the Kaidan romance obviously) just flowed so much better. In ME2 it's almost as if femSheps romances were tacked on as an afterthought, with no consideration towards the progression or the dialogue. Lets hope that we do get some good dialogue with Kaidan in ME3.

ME2 is fun for me, of course I wished a little bit more of depth in it and more Kaidan and I´m not a shooter, but still after I got used to it, I enjyoyed to play. And I raise my hope on ME3... more Kaidan/Ashley and more rpg.
I think this DLC is not so important in the storyline, because is meant to be used for both playthrough. I mean you can play it before the last mission or after the suizid mission. That´s at least what I read in one of the interviews. The next one could be a story - related DLC, because by then, the majority should be finished with the main story... I hope so ;-)
@ Baal, I doubt that we will hear any news from the E3.
And here, just to prove I´m still trying to draw :-)...

Well, if there's one thing Jacob has over Kaidan, it's internet meme status.Jhosephine wrote...

You're right - Jacob's romance should have been a lot more professional, especially since he appears to be the most self-disciplined squadmate on the SR-2. Pick the wrong option when talking to him and it all goes downhill very fast...

I would be fine with the option to tie him up and keep him locked away in the cabin for the game.

I think his suspicion on Horizon is entrely justified and Ill be annoyed if my Shepard doesn't get to express that. They should either both apologise to each other, or just move past it.

I'm hoping we get to have a proper Horizon resultion where both Kaidan and Shepard get to say they screwed up, or at least ine where Shrpard has the option to state she can understand where Kaidan was coming from during their conversation.

Good morning.
I agree with the above, and Shep better not start off the conversation with "How ya doin."

On the other had there is comidic value in "How ya doin'" after all she has been through if Kaidan uses it

So long as there's no "Joey Leer," to it.
