Edit: Thanks for the feedback on my last chapter everyone. I can't promise when the next chapter will be ready. I'm not sure if I can handle miring myself in Shenko angst over my birthday, so it may not get worked on until the start of next week.

To Kaidan, it's been two years. He's attempted to move on but has failed at it. From his email, it sounds like his friends talked him into the date and he agreed so he could try to feel normal again. Also from his email, he says that he wants to try to be with Shepard again, but he leaves it as an open question.

Is it cheating?

I think that in Shepard's case, it would be cheating or in the very least, a rebound. I don't understand how she'd be able to get over a previous love that hurt her that quickly to fall for another man within a matter of 2-3 weeks.

On Kaidan's side, it's more complicated. His email makes it sound like the date with the doctor was a casual setup date. If they were actually something more than a casual date, I think he'd tell Shepard that he was in a relationship with someone. The last bit of his email tells Shepard to be careful and that he wouldn't be able to stand losing her again. He has a flicker of hope that maybe there's a chance for them again.

So, would Kaidan call it cheating? No, but he'd be absolutely devastated.

I totally agree with Fort here.  I don't think what she does it the same since we are looking at her death as a couple of days for her at most.  She wakes up on the Normandy, dies then wakes up on the base.  To her Ilos has just happen and we all know what that meant to her... and he tells you what it meant to him.  Her then going with someone else so soon, it makes no sense to me.  IMHO of course...

I can see everyone is having fun, going to be on the Iphone all day long so any Kaidan pictures later while I am being tourtured into enjoying RL would be appreciated... you know in about 5 hours ... when I am ready to jump out of a car going 70 mph down a Washington State highway.

Thanks Night you are a star. I just got the Overlord DLC yesterday but haven't played it (have been wrapped up in my latest DA play through) not story based? As in? Not part of the ME2-3 tie in, or not a story based mission like they said it was? :-S

How did you deal or what do you think of the Alliance badmouthing Shepard and Kaidan not doing anything? And on top of that he gets promoted? Perhaps i'm missing something (I haven't been in Horizon yet) but if I were Shepard it would ****** me off because the man I love doesn't seem to care that they are insulting my memory like that.

Besides, he's been there too. He's seen the Reapers, Vigil etc, etc. Why doesn't he try to defend Shepard?

After the incident they ground Joker and the first time you meet him in ME2 he speaks about the team tearing appart not too long after Shepard is gone.

Hi Jen,
I didn´t get Overlord yet. As much as I know It´s  not a ME2-3 tie in. You are able to do the mission before the suicide mission or also later... Sorry, that´s all I know:blink:

It seems that Ash/Kaidan are put in the position where they are Shepard's successor in a way. They're not going to gain points by telling their superiors to take a hike. It's too much to risk, especially when Anderson has them doing personal assignments (probably searching for hints about the reapers).

So, by holding their tongue, maybe they're honoring Shepard's memory even more. They're doing what they have to in order to try to get the Council on board.

I know that you can do it whenever you want that is a really good feature of ME2 :-) I was more wondering that since BioWare stated it was going to be a more story driven mission why people feel it isn't story driven (are BioWare making promises they didn't deliver on?) And we aren't expecting anything to stretch 2 into 3 for some months yet, are we?! Is it just not as good as they said?

Well, look at it this way.  The Virmire Survivors both have huge hits on their credibility as it is.  Kaidan's an L-2, Ashely's one of those Williams'.  (To paraphrase Tom Skerrit in Top Gun, "Her family name ain't the best in the Alliance.")

They start trying to defend Shepard publically, the consequences would be far worse than for someone like Donnelly.  Donnelly was only "separated" by a mutual decision on his part and the Alliance, from what I gather.  The consequences for Kaidan/Ashley would be far worse.  Institutionalization for Kaidan, maybe.  A court-martial for Ashley. 

None of my Sheps blame them for keeping their heads down in this instance.

As far as whether it's a dumping on Horizon.... It certainly feels like it to me.  Perhaps because I've never managed to get the line, "I trust you, I don't trust Cerberus."(I'm going to try like hell when Avery gets there, though. I've never gotten it for Meghan.)  All I ever get is "I loved you."   You don't use the past tense on that word unless it's over.

first off, Happy Birthday Sapphy, kinda missed out on that *brings in cake and lights up candles* I would of brought Kaidan for a private lapdance, but he's a bit shy about his body when there's lots of people around. Sorry ladies and gents.



I can't wait to get home so I can game a bit more. I'm still far from ME2 and even FURTHER away any DLCs......booohooohhoooo...I really suck! But I enjoy ME1 sooooo much.



Anyway, that angry Kaidan OMG....I'd make that my new desktop background if I could but the OS these datapads run is just a pain in the butt! So I'll stick with a picture of my beloved ship xD



Oh and I did what Marge did. I started writing Logfiles, private and public ones. They can be found on my facebook. Don't take them too seriously and please don't mind that I can't write. Just write what comes to my mind. ^.^ They can be accessed by anyone who has a facebook account, therefore any member who has access to the public extranet. Welcome welcome!



PS: And what do I hear about the Mako? And a hammerhead? Is hammerhead worse than the Mako? I find that hard to believe, yet fascinating because I hate the Mako and the idea that there is something I could hate more......xD
