Why on earth would you record it?

I've written Horizon twice now and both times Shep goes, "Hunh?" the whole scene while Kaidan yells at her.  In the first it was an excuse to bring Thane into the story (only to kill the poor man) and in the second it was all a ruse.  That's generally how I feel when I'm playing, Shep's thinking, "What the hell?" even though I know what he's going to say and I rationalized it all out in my head.

Firstly good morning or good evening to everyone...depending on where you are in the world  The part on horizon broke my fem-sheps heart and I have to admit at first I did cheat on Kaidan with Thane (Hides behind a big rock. Don't throw any bricks at me they hurt  ) Then when I played through it again, I had to take to heart what Kaidan was saying. He wants to believe you but, it's really hard for him since you are working with Cerberus.  So I was like o.k gotta respect the man for not betraying his beliefs and following behind you like a lost puppy. Even though I did delete the playthrough where I cheated on him. And all my characters have been faithful since then.

I have to admit that I did not like the letter he sent...Just wish that it would have said more and not leave me to read between the lines. I think it would be nice if they actually let us tell the man that we love him in ME3 instead of "You're a sweetheart." What the heck was BioWare thinking with that line in ME1

Well, Lex is mostly paragon. There was one middle of the line choice, but I think the previous version I had done was straight paragon. So, both should be available.

My paragon Shep has been totally faithful but my paragade cheated with Thane and my renegade is going to take Garrus for a tumble, just to see what happens. aright, speaking of writing while the kid sleeps, i stayed up WAY to late finishing this, but here's the latest chapter, mostly smex.

I  the Princess Bride. I was thinking about going for Garrus on one of my characters just to see what type of consequences we would have, since BW said that there would be some. However I'm still a little miffed by not having our LI's in ME2. BW said they kept them out so they wouldn't die but, you can save the entire team on the Collector Base so I'm a little confused by their reasonings

Yeah.  If they reduce your teammates in ME3 to cameos, it makes your efforts to get them all through alive a gimmick.  And if they're all possible teammates, why couldn't we have the ME1 LI's in ME2? 

I'm calling red herring on the "saving them for ME3," line.  They wanted the new LI's to get a chance.

oddly enough, i found keeping the team alive insanely easy to do. my hubby, on his one playthrough, lost half of them. i was verry confused by that. i didn't want to be mean, but i was like heck, it's easy to keep them alive. i did it without meaning to. what did you DO?

I lost Mordin and Zaeed.  I made Zaeed the fireteam leader during the biotic bubble and I sent Grunt back with the crew.  Oops..... that is what multiple playthroughs are for.

I knew the minute I screwed up and reloaded at the first opportunity. Got them all through after that. So yeah.. I call BS on the "wanting to keep the ME1 LI's alive," line.

I think they were trying to make a connection to Shepard and his/her team.  We already knew a lot about Kaidan, Ashley and Liara from the first game.  These were new characters (or old ones that were not fleshed out) that the character needed to get to know for the third game.  Bringing back Kaidan, Ashley and Liara would be like beating the player over the head with the same material.  We already know their stories and have bonds with them.  The character aspect of the game was about setting things up for the third game.  There were two seperate narative taking place in this game.  The first was stopping the Collectors (the story for this game) and the second was to developing bonds with these new (and old... Garrus and Tali) characters (which is part of the overal trilogy story arc).

As much as I would have liked Kaidan in ME2, I likely would have spent most of my time with him and Garrus in my squad just like I did in ME.  It's good that I didn't have a built-in favorite squad in the new game.  It forced me to take new characters along and learn more about them both on and off of the ship.

But on my newer runs through the game, Garrus and Thane mostly make up my squad.  I <3 snipers in ME2 (except for Zaeed.  He's creepy.)  If only I could have singularity again I'd consider a biotic-heavy squad like in ME.  But Kaidan will bring balance back to my field team for ME3.  He'd better.  <_<
