Vacation is over and I have to go to a communication conference for the next for days for dispatcher of 911 - can you believe its a 'reward' to go. 4 days of training ... a reward? go figure. Yeah, I would rather stay home... oh well.

true, but why do bioware LI men "hint" by talking about their old girlfriends? sky does the same. i mean, really? does that work IRL? i heard garrus' talk and went, 'oh, so you're into flexible female turians. how nice for you. i'll be going now...."
my shep really didn't get the hint.
@ sapphy - i really love your shep's backstory. it's very believable. i think it's one of my favorite takes on shep's past loves.
i aslo like that BW leaves so much of shep up for interpretation. as i just...ah...posted in my take on shep's past in my fanfic (self promotion much?) i take kyrie to be a weird mix of hot and cold, and her past reflects that. conservatively raised farm girl, messed up & sent off to basic...but who oddly ends up coming back to her parent's ideals in a way. when i wrote her past out, i was sort of like...whoa, i don't know. it seemed to fit her, but i was thinking, will anyone sympathize with this? but i do. so, shrug.

Well... that's kinda why I like ME2. I didn't feel the urge to quantify my Shepards in ME1, I just... played the game. In ME2, I have to figure out the difference between Meghan and Avery, even though they make the same big decisions, it's the little ones that matter for characterization.
