hehe, I could live with that if it makes you happy ^^ - it has to be after the game, though, like you said. Otherwise he'd get a yellow card ^^

I just saw this in Jho's album and made me

Kaidan's face after learning Shepard cheated(however strongly or loosely you wanna use that word) on him with Jacob and being called the priiize...

Just thinking about what happens if you cheat makes me facepalm at some fails that could happen, especially if you already two-timed in ME1 on him, and even more so if there's a near copy and paste scene of that in ME3.

ME1
Kaidan: Alright, Shepard. You need to choose between the two of us.
Shepard: But Kaidan, I care about both you and Liara! But whatever, you're the one I really care about.

ME3
Kaidan: Alright, Shepard. You need to choose between the two of us. (Haven't we gone through this before...?)

Here's to hoping he doesn't give you a choice anymore. If you cheated he shouldn't be a romance option at all. I think that with him feeling betrayed by Shepard already, there's no way he's going to give her a choice if he finds out it didn't take her long to find someone new (after all for Shepard time stood still).

But they'll prolly say she's damaged goods and sought comfort in the arms of another man or alien and he'll forgive her. Pfftt...they better not go there for it doesn't do Kaidan any justice. Cheated? No romance possible with Kaidan. Faithfull? You get the fluff ;)

Makes me wonder though...will they make him a LI option in ME3 for players who didn't play ME1 and 2? Will they treat this last chapter as a standalone game as well?

Yeah, the french didn´t look to good... And I really miss Ballack and his experience of being a leader, even so I think Lahm is doing well... Oh, and there some things about I can´t follow Löw´s decision´s ... taking Gomez instead of Kuranyi is one of them... Or not letting Kiessling play insteat of Klose...
And even if the yellow card for Klose was wrong, he should´ve been smarter later...

I would love to see Kaidan playing soccer.... Maybe for Werder Bremen... I would go to every football game in the Stadion.:D:D:D
He would look sexy in those Outfits *sighs*, but somehow I´ll see him more in the gym and playing basketball...
maybe time for another pic...just to stay on the topic;)

*pic snip*

Yeah, Klose should've had enough experience to know that he needed to be careful....
I could see Kaidan playing basketball, too, actually. Biotic Dunk .... :D
and if he was playing football, he'd play for Schalke, of course! B)

But you get  my Metzelder already...

To see Kaidan taking his shirt off, after the game...ah yeah, would make me melt away

Yes, they'll treat it as stand-alone aswell. I think it was mentioned in an interview (by CHud?).

Also, I agree with you Jho, there shouldn't be the possibility to romance him if you cheated. I mean for Shepard it hasn't been 2 years, not really, so romancing someone else immideately, it shows that Shepard never really cared for Kaidan. At least I see it that way. For Kaidan going on a date after two, years, I can understand that, but for Shepard.....that's just..... I don't even know what to call it :-/

You just don't do it like that......imo

I agree with all that, man needs to flip her off in his Kaidan like ways and do... whatever it is he'll do. I would like to see some tense feeling between them both if that happened. Assuming if you choose more paragon option choices, stating how he just left her on Horizon and what not from Shep's pov, he may not blame her. Not exactly go "Oh, Shepard! Let's get married and have babies!", but maybe not as tense of feelings.

I think he'll be a LI option if you didn't romance him in ME1, I feel like that was hinted at when you talked to Kelly after Horizon.
She asks if you have strong feelings for him even if you did not romance him, which you can tell her you do. I don't think saying that alone will do anything but more or less a hint that it's possible.

And to think there are those who say it's not cheating if you start up a romance with someone else in ME2 lol
But I agree, it doesn't paint a pretty picture for Shepard...but same goes for Kaidan if he does take her back.
Shepard in ME2 has some seriously raging hormones and wants to act on them at every turn, we should be rewarded for tossing her under an icecold shower so often. The poor girl.

I kinda disagree on that. I mean, he did act like an ass on Horizon! She saved his cute lil butt and had NO chance at all to tell him what was going on. She NEVER got the chance to explain ANYTHING to him! He yelled at her and got his damn email explaination chance but Shepard didn't get sh*t. So for all she knows, she could be dead tomorrow! I mean, Shepard doesn't have OUR knowledge! So I keep thinking about how I would feel like...I wake up in a facility...I am being told that I have been gone for TWO years and that everyone thinks I am dead. I am getting NO backup at all from the Alliance! I have to FIGHT to get my crew's loyalty. I have to go through all the sh*t AGAIN that I had gone through BEFORE just to face an enemy with a handful of people in the end. And the guy I love has nothing better to do than to yell at me? Even after explaining himself later on, the moment he told me that I was a TRAITOR, he broke my heart in every way possible! So excuse me if I allow myself to be angry as well. I mean, he obviously gets every right to be mad and hurt and sh*t and I don't? So if I try to find AT LEAST SOME comfort in another guy's arms to feel a bit like a human being instead of a fighting robot, then heck yes I frakking do! And if FATE (that being Bioware here) decides to bring me and Kaidan back together in the future, then we both should get the chance to work things out, because the past is the past!

The end!

Not agreeing with you as well :) Yes Horizon sucked and it sucked that Bioware wrote it this poorly that Shepard's response to Kaidan and Ash is pretty much neutral so it appeals to new players as well. From Shepard's POV it's hell to have Kaidan yell at her like that, yes. But from Kaidan's POV is totally understandable. The problem with the scene is having to put yourself in both their shoes, it isn't just about your Shepard. Yes it's all horrible and she needs someone she can trust and looks for that to Kaidan but he's been going through a similiar hell for two years now and then finds her alive and well and working with an organization they fought fiercely in ME1.
He's angry and has every right to be, despite us not getting the chance to explain. That's Bioware's fault, not his. They should have given us ME1 players a different dialogue all together so while there wouldn't be a happy conclusion to Horizon, we could at least do more than say "hey Kaidan, how ya doin'?".
Heck I wanted to yell at Shepard myself.
But to jump into the arms of another man, not as a one night stand comfort thing but actively persuing a romance that ends between the sheets and then expecting Kaidan will forgive you in ME3 because he can understand you being hurt after Horizon? Um no thanks.

Actually that's why I think it's not cool if Shepard immideately jumps on someone else. There has been no chance to talk about it. I mean, I'd at least want to talk with Ashley or Kaidan before to talk about everything. I'd at least give them a chance, before moving on.
When Ash called me a traitor on Horizon, I was stunned. I considered it as our official break-up, but after the e-mail, I though okay, let's give us a chance. I can at least talk to her again, before finally moving on. Those were my....or rather Shepards thoughts.
So, I also understand your point of view, J4 (and Ash/Kaidans for that matter), but I wouldn't go for someone else for what seems to me as a "just like that".

Yeah, thank god for the mail although we should have gotten more ;) I felt the same as J4 after Horizon and Kaidan acting like that, on my first playthrough but I just kept on playing and had my Shep focus on the task at hand. The mail made a lot of sense, although I spend the majority of the game hoping for more. Looked for Kaidan on the Citadel, fully expecting there would be a Horizon follow up where Shepard could explain herself.
Was also disappointed there was nobody to talk to about what happened, I wanted her to be able to at least discuss it with Garrus who was on Horizon with her...but nothing. Her best friend's dialogues were...lacking, to say the least, to make room for the romance options.

Blegh...I hate Horizon, it could have been wonderfully dramatic if there was more to it.

Well, I understand what you mean. Of course, he wasn´t acting fair and it hurt my femshep. But then the way she talked to him wasn´t great either (thank´s BW:ph34r:) and it must have been a shock, first to see her and then to find out she is with Cerberus...
Well, like it was said before, he believed two years that she´s dead and for her it seems maybe like a couple weeks... And even when femshep is hurt and angry, so she loves him and couldn´t start a new romance, until she´ll be over with it... Well, my femshep just focused on her job in ME2, even so she felt often very lonely:crying:
Well, they will work it out on ME3. My femshep would maybe smack him on the head first and then doing other things...

I maintain that the problem with Horizon is that Shepard's dialogue options sucked. And that's speaking as someone who genuinely enjoys Horizon.

I'd like to think at some point they went behind the scenes to try and help you out. Doubt it but it's a cool thought.

All the reunion scenes for the ME1 LIs suffered because of poor writing for Shepard, imo. The way he/she acts in those scenes are totally ridiculous. Liara opening up to Shepard and no way for us to comfort her? WHAT THE HELL, BW!!!!
Horizon wasn't better. I said it in the Liara thread, too. The reunion scenes could've been so much better, if Shepard had different ways to respond. So what if there were new players who don't know Liara, Kaidan and Ashley......it's still ridiculous and should've been done differently :pinched:

Because the ME2 romances are all so compelling and will tempt you day and night to cheat. I liked the romances in ME2, though. Tali's felt the most fleshed out in my opinion. Not really surprising at that.

Yeah, well...Bioware WANTED us to cheat..after all the new romances were so hard to resist or something. According to them anyway.

Horizon left me angry and hurt and that feeling stayed with me throughout ME2 and I really felt sorry for my Shepard :crying:

Mind you, Kaidan shouldn't walk away that easily either. I fully expect some fireworks to tell him he was an ass. Wouldn't mind a biotic throw into the fishtank ;) While understandable, I always expected him to be the one person who would be there for her...but he wasn't and that shows how deeply he love(d) her in a, for us, twisted way.

I just hope they do the relationship justice in ME3, it's complicated but I think Bioware will take an easy way out and focus on the big Reapers. Despite me wanting a lot of dialogue so it plays out the way it should, that's not going to happen.

I agree on that. I mean, they could of done different dialogue options just from the fact that we have imported save files while a new player doesn't! Shouldn't be that hard, should it?

Indeed <_< Yeah, and Kaidan should have used biotics in the Horizon cutscene..and oh, ditch the phoenix armor too! Kaidan and Ash...two names, two DIFFERENT characters!
But I guess that was too time consuming or expensive

Blegh, good thing the armor he's wearing on Horizon makes up for a little bit of the pain...*follows the flashy lights* hehe

Anyone try to mod the phoenix armor off of him?  I don't know much about ME2, and less on the PC version, but it seems to me that it'd be easy to swap out to the Horizon armor skin.

Then again.  Helmet.  Nevermind.

*comes in with flameshield* I agree. I looked at these cameo scenes with a character point of view and how Kaidan reacts makes sence, however the reason why the scene fails hard is how Shepard acts. If I was Kaidan and the love of my life was back from the dead and working with Cerberus I would be pissed too, but Shepard acts  the whole time, just like Ash and that is unactable. I said this in the Liara thread but I think Bioware did this crap on purpose so people would cheat. We can all hope Bioware shapes up and Walters stays away from a character he never even wrote and we get a writer who knows Kaidan.

*leaves with flameshield*

Then again.  Helmet.  Nevermind.

That would be wonderful. But no idea if it's possible. Like modding him into the ME2 cuddle scenes like they did with *gasps* Grunt. lol
It makes no sense what so ever to have Kaidan in your cabin, but hey....Shepard needs it ;)

*comes in with flameshield* I agree. I loved at these cameo scenes with a character point of view and how Kaidan reacts makes sence, however the reason why the scene fails hard is how Shepard acts.

What's the story on the writers exactly? Who did what? Because it feels as if ME1 and ME2 had two different teams.

Because the ME2 romances are all so compelling and will tempt you day and night to cheat. I liked the romances in ME2, though. Tali's felt the most fleshed out in my opinion. Not really surprising at that.

Tali's was one of the least appealing romances I have ever experienced in games. I don't mind people liking it, though. I just think, the only thing she did in ME1 was talk abou the Geth and Quarians....there was no bond between us, I didn't feel anything developing (like friendship). Then in ME2, even though she KNOWS (I mean she has to, come on) that I am still with Liara (or in the very least, trying to make it work) and she still throws herself at me like that? I really didn't like that.......Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Tali, but a romance? Nuh uh.

Also, to make it clear. BW  UTTERLY FAILED in their attempt to make me cheat. I'll never do that. Not in a video game and not in RL. Just wanted to point that out ^_^
