Actually that's why I think it's not cool if Shepard immideately jumps on someone else. There has been no chance to talk about it. I mean, I'd at least want to talk with Ashley or Kaidan before to talk about everything. I'd at least give them a chance, before moving on.
When Ash called me a traitor on Horizon, I was stunned. I considered it as our official break-up, but after the e-mail, I though okay, let's give us a chance. I can at least talk to her again, before finally moving on. Those were my....or rather Shepards thoughts.
So, I also understand your point of view, J4 (and Ash/Kaidans for that matter), but I wouldn't go for someone else for what seems to me as a "just like that".
Yeah, thank god for the mail although we should have gotten more

I felt the same as J4 after Horizon and Kaidan acting like that, on my first playthrough but I just kept on playing and had my Shep focus on the task at hand. The mail made a lot of sense, although I spend the majority of the game hoping for more. Looked for Kaidan on the Citadel, fully expecting there would be a Horizon follow up where Shepard could explain herself.
Was also disappointed there was nobody to talk to about what happened, I wanted her to be able to at least discuss it with Garrus who was on Horizon with her...but nothing. Her best friend's dialogues were...lacking, to say the least, to make room for the romance options.
Blegh...I hate Horizon, it could have been wonderfully dramatic if there was more to it.
